irfan is good..he sang some very good songs on the show...
i noticed he is one of the singers who doesn get emotional...nor does he mention his parents...whereas every other singer mentions his or her parents....
he is good...i hope he comes back......
Agree...so is Debu too...

I saw the same episode today & thought everyone sang awesome but Keka. I thought she was not so great. Irfan leaving I felt very sad. I was just exstatic with Sharib's performance. Tdy's episode was really happening not like yesterday's theme songs were really dead. Every song selection was aweful. S.D.Burman has some beautiful fast paced songs & they could have sang them. It all depends on the theme & singers to make it happen. It was very entertaining to music lover's ears.
Thanks Himeshji for wonderful songs.
I have to respectfully disagree with you MrspetloverUS. Yes, one of the songs from SD Burman theme round was not as good but to say that all song were aweful is stretching tooooo far.....
" Raat Akeli Hai, Buz GayeDiye...(Jewel Thief - 1967)", "Badi Suni Suni Hai Zidangi Yeh Zindagi...(Mili -1975)", "Piya Bina Piya Bina...(Abhiman - 1973)". "Tere Mere Sapne Ab Ek Rang Hai...(Guide - 1965)" are some of the all time great/hit songs and are maintaining their appeal even after 30-40 years.. and they will remembered/ heard by people for years to come. And you call them dead songs????? Every music lover on this forum will agree that these songs are EVERGREEN!!!!!!
How many of today's Himesh-ji's songs do you think people will remember/care to listen 20-30 years from now?
You mean None! here, didn't you taikoo? I also feel the same.
Ooops. sorry...Yes, I meant None. But in a hurry wrote No. Anyways, I have corrected it now.
The very fact that a 17 year old contestant (Hemachandra) is singing 'Lekar hum diwana dil...' (from a 20+ year old movie) beautifully, conveys very vividly the melody of yester year songs.
