How should children be treated when they are caught smoking.A student in a school infact in class 8 was expelled as he was caught smoking. There have been many such cases where under age kids want to explore all that they know..and thus get into bad habbits of smoking and drinking.

What shud be done? Punishment or making them understand the seriousness of the situation?
Well..in any case punishments will not just ruin the child's life but without even making the child understand the fact of what he has done the child would only think they surely have some grudge against him/her.

Adults smoke and drink wearing the tag:

If the guy smoked inside school premises, then the school can obviously expel him as it has the right to do so.

^^well i am talking in general..that guy is an example..yea but expelling isnt a solution since he might not quit smoking..and school is a place where the child's future is made better by making his present full of good values!

When I was in standard 12, I have seen a guy of 5th std. who has been caught smoking in the toilet. And it was the 3rd time he was caught smoking. Obviously, he was quite dumb to be caught thrice.
But, whatever, maybe expelling is not the solution and he should just be suspended for a few days and his parents informed about his activities. Since, his activities can influence other students, so sometimes taking strong steps become a necessity to protect the interest of others.

well if the first time itself the child was made aware of what SMOKING is..i am sure at such a tender age he would have understood..for sure!
i've read a book my anton chekhov with deals with the same...quiet a beautiful story..there the child was made to understand the consequences of smoking..but in real life dont know why it doesnt happen.

according to me instead of punishing n expelling students 4 smoking the people should understand why do such small kids take into smoking while yes it is injurious????

a boy in cls 3 smoking may be out of ignorance or lets see inquisitiveness.
however a boy of cls 12 who is well aware of its harmfull effects smokes cz its considered "COOL"

IN THE YOUNG GENeration

so i guess we all have to boycott smoking n smokers in order to stop it .

kids smoke cuz they think it will make them cool or they might smoke cuz its a way for them to feel better..smokin is a very bad habit and i think its should be banned. Buying a cigertte for kids now is so easy smokin leads to drinkin drugs and other things its the wrost!

People do smoke there but not as they do here..
My school is nowhere near as bad as it can get yet a lot of the college students go into the toilets to smoke and it stinks like HELL! 🤢
especially since i'm one of those who simply can't stand the smell of smoke
it literally suffocates me!
and thats why in the UK they make it compulsory for all schools to dedicate atleast 1 hour of the school ciriculum into PSHE-personal social health education and now it starts from about Year 5-which is about 9/10 yrs old.
and from bullying to sex to smoking and drugs, it covers it all and it's all about raising awareness i guess and i hear India has such plans too due to the whole getting pregnant and not know what your going through at such a young age so I do hope they bring this system in 😊

well that system has become quiet a necessity in india...since we are facing a whole lot of problems out here because of all of this.the problem is wen parents do it..a child doesnt find any harm it doing it either.😭
