Is it an ultimate test for the husband??

Is Maya so insecure with her husband Arjun or has she seen too much of his unfaithfulness in the past that she resort to take such a step to demean herself in front of the society just to test her husband where his trust lies. Would he believe her lies or pretend to believe her lies just to get away from the prison that Maya had for him and his mother??? Or would he be brave enough to find the lies and stick with Maya no matter what?

This seems like an ultimate test for Arjun as a husband and as far as I can see once he gets past this hurdle he would get his wife back once and for all with no trust issues or secrets between them. Hope there is a happy ending after all if one looks at it this way but for it to happen all their past deeds or the famous such of Maya needs to come out in the open and then Maya's redemption.


I know Maya has gone grey to black in this season but the thing is we don't know what is all that she endured in the name of marriage over the past three years because it has not been shown yet. We had only been shown what Arjun had endured in the last 3 years but is it the complete truth? The thing with Maya is she is a loner and doesn't share too much of her feelings or thinking to anyone maybe except to Ganesha or sometimes with Jhanvi. Yes Maya is bad and we don't know what goes on in that beautiful head of hers lately and she is too manipulative. I hope she has not gone beyond repair.

@vid it comes out more and more that Maya has issues with Saanjh. Even after putting Ayan to jail what she tells is if Saanjh again comes in between them, she will know it. Yesterday too she told Vandana I dont like Saanjh.

Arjun slapped his longtime friend in full public view & declared that all their ties stood snapped for ever & pushed her out of their house! Did it not convince Maya?
Arjun called Ganesha as a mere stone after the miscarriage! And Maya accepted it, even though both believed in God till then! She threw away Ganesha & gave that place to Arjun!
If she could abandon her True friend trusting Arjun, then why should she still hesitate to trust him when he abandoned his friend for sake of his wife?

So, Maya started trusting Arjun finally, isn't it?

After that in those 3 years what happened, we do not know! But he got sick of Maya & when season 2 started he was almost hating her! Why this transformation? No clarity, yet!

Was it due to his infidelity? Then Maya should have hated him and not other way around! He can't be infidel & at the same time blame his wife for his misery!

We do not know about other girls! But definitely he would not have contacted Saanjh & Sharmas during those three years! His surprise encounter with Saanjh or Ayaan looked very genuine! Really, it appeared a meeting happened after a long time!

Looks like, Saanjh & Sharmas never came in Arjun's thoughts during those 3 years!
But, Maya did not forget them!

It was clearly confirmed more than once that Maya indeed set it up Samay for Saanjh! Samay was already in touch with Maya before he met Saanjh in London! How long Samay & Maya were in touch, after they fell-out some 8 years back, we do not know!

Still how did Saanjh fall for Samay, we do not know?! Somehow Samay managed to woo Saanjh abroad, clearly under instructions from Maya!

What we do know -is that Maya did everything behind Arjun's back, even though he never attempted to contact Saanjh!

Now, if one were given to believe that 'the so called affair of Maya & Samay' is just an eyewash & it is really meant to test Arjun's reactions, then we would like to know . . .

What kind of fidelity test is this?
What is the justification for Maya's actions, when she herself was clandestinely in touch with Samay -God knows how long - fully being aware of his amorous intentions towards a married woman?!

What kind of moral ground does Maya stand even to test her husband?

I would have accepted the outlandish ways of Maya to test Arjun's commitment given she really doesn't grasp any better, but how do you test your partner by letting another man bite and feel you up? She loses me at that particular juncture. Don't start with the rubbish that she was compelled. Why would she feel compelled to frame Ayan? She could have smoothly thrown him out of the house but she didn't. She had this urge to play God and dole out punishment to him as he dared to come close to Arjun.

That's not testing. It's just plain and simple mindf**kery.

Yes dear Iam watching the same show, that's why I already said she is a dark character. You are saying that one cannot hope positive ending either??? It's only a fictional show so iam talking about Maya undergoing treatment in the end and maybe if Arjun really loves her then he will stick with her through thick and thin. I'm not supporting any of Maya's actions and neither will I do no matter whether she is fictional or not. I do hate her a lot of the times when she is manipulative and trying to harm others. I know what she had done so far and what she can be capable off. So please don't take this post into other directions as I'm only discussing her and Arjun's relationship and if there is any love at all (NOT obsession) between them.

I'm trying to understand this mentally ill woman who can do everything to keep her husband with her and cross any limits in fact there aren't any limits when it comes to Arjun. So, why is she doing this trying to throw away everything and by demeaning herself.

I hope I have made myself clear here.

What grounds do we have to believe that she is mentally ill? Almost nothing.

We have plenty of grounds to believe that she takes pleasure in inflicting pain on others and she lacks empathy completely. Forget about Vandana or Ayan, she in unable to be empathetic with her so-called Beyhad Love, Arjun.

We don't know yet whether she is a killer or not.

How can we conclude that she is suffering from mental illness? Leave depression out of it. Not every depressed person is a sadist.

She can be a perfectly normal person with God complex that she is the one who has to bring justice upon other people, and whatever she wants is justified.

I also like Jenny and Kushu, but .. 'if you still think this has a happy ending, you have not been paying attention.'
