Boy to Man - Article about Rajat in HT

I tried a lot to get this article on the net but no luck :( I hope it will be uploaded soon on the site..Today there was an interview of Rajat in HT City. I'll type it down..It had Rajat's pic also..

When most youngsters of his age try to juggle with their careers choices at crossroads, Rajat Tokas has already carved a niche in the extremely competitive industry - the Hindi television industry. And well our boy is nothing short of a unique epic hero in the industry dominated by the daily saas-bahu drudgery.

The teenager, who played the title role in Prithviraj Chauhan, has taken the television industry by storm and earned a huge fan following. He will now be seen in a new teleserial Dharam Veeron NDTV's new Hindi general entertainment channel, NDTV IMagine, which will go on air on 21st January , 2008

We spoke to this hardcore JAckie Chan fan on how it feels to be a part of yet another epic drama.

"I play Veer in Dharam Veer, who can do anything for his brother. He is a funny, moody but devoted boy. This is my second epic serial after Prithviraj Chauhan. I love acting, doing roles that give me apprrciable scope to act, Dharam Veer does just that," saya Rajat.

He might be young but he already has his goals set. "It takes long for someone to reach this place." says Rajat modestly, adding "At the age of 14 I have the best actor's award and a lot of work , isn't that a good thing?"

On the kind of preparations that goes in epic drama, tells Rajat "I didn't read up anything when I read Prithviraj. Infact that keeps my mind fresh and open to ideas. As far as personal regime, light exercise and swimming and I'm ready for the role"

So, has the industry turned out to be what he had conceived? "I don't nurture preconceived notions . I accept things the way they come. i am here to work hard and this is what matters to me."

What next, films? Quips Rajat, " I am getting offers but since I had already taken up Dharam Veer , I am foccussing on the latter. But I am open to good roles, specially action packed roles."
