he had a crush on her the first time he saw her. Then he kept thinking about her and coincidentally kept on meeting her too. When he was drugged by his friends he was talking about her and then he saw her and ran to her probably to say he likes her. Amla seeing all those drunkards got scared and naturally she didn't want to talk to him. Then he caught her from behind. His intention was not to rape her but as it happens all we're drugged and drunk one thing led to other and you know the rest.
I don't think he chased her and when his friends were raping her, he was totally stoned that couldn't probably even understand what was going on.
So, he definitely is guilty but not of rape.
Another lesson from the show is DO NOT DO DRUG.
PS. Not trying to defend Abeer. Liking the realistic story telling so far and that's why watching.
