^^ just thought of bringing this up. It's easy to claim that people should have been ideological. But situations don't always give them the choice to do so.

i had a friend when i was in university and she had a bf. he was scum and controlling. he would tell wat to wear(even had a problem if she wear an ankle length skirt), he was abit rough with her and he would grab her, twist her hand and pinch her. there would be marks on her body bt she never saw it as abuse. i found out once that he was cheating on her i told her. she choose to trust him, i choose to be her friend without judging her and thankfully a few months later he dumped her for another girl.

i have another friends who if she likes a guy would find out things about the guy. for 1 guy she even heard he should hit his ex bt she choose to want to continue seeing.

I think true friendship is putting your view point across, your friend can either trust u enough to walk away from the bad relationship or dismiss u.

i think no matter what the scenario is one cant force another person to accept what they are saying. even in your scenario the "friend" if no one believes her would have to wait for the cookies to crumble.

unfortunately in your hypothetical situation the friend is not in love with the other friend. so in your hypothetical situation it would be very easy to walk away
