Mohit Sanaya were OVERSCORED DT Note Pg 5/ 7

So IMHO I feel Monaya were overscored yesterday night. Keeping in mind the level of choreography and the subsequent execution , it didn't deserve more than a 24 at best .My reasoning for it as follows

Where's the "Nach
" - Isn't this supposed to be "Nach" Baliye? So I want to know where in the world was the "Nach"..where was the dancing? All I saw was lifts and running around with bizarre expressions .Is that what you call "Nach"? Is contemporary all about lifts? I'm afraid not .Even their transition from one step to another was very shoddy and lacked grace. And in some places they went to the next step without even completing the first. What they did yesterday was just an unpardonable slaughter of the contemporary dance form rather 🥱

The connect-
I remember many years ago watching Hussain-Tina a couple on this same show perform a contemporary emotional act on the Hindu-Muslim riots . It was a heart wrenching one and I could feel a lump in my throat at the end of it ,the images remained in my head for a long time much after the act was over ,such was the impact and connect . But yesterday I remember sitting and watching the entire act of Monaya's and not being able to feel for them or connect with them. They had no impact on me whatsoever. And Mohit's peculiar expressions from time to time just made things worse.

Another thing that got to me was their post-performance rona dhona . The worst part about these reality shows is less reality and more staged gimmicks. Why can't we just stick to the act and scores rather than focussing on people's tears after a performance. I'm not here for the drama, I'm here for the dance so just get to it and cut the crap already 🥱

Thank God finally someone made a post on this.
I too didnt find anything special about the performance. Dance was really really less except for few lifts here n there. And likewise as u mentioned about the emotional thing its such a turn off for me. As u have already put it really well there needs to be DANCE. Yesterday their performance didnt deserve this much marks.

Thank God finally some one said this.
Mohit needs to work his expressions too .sanaya was really good even her moves are good but I couldn't connect with them . Sabigail did that emotional dance n Terrence said to them where was the nach? Now in Monaya performance there was no nach at all. And I think sp already made there mind either divek or Monaya will be winners
They don't promote sabigail or shoika or breshka .

I agree, the act overall didn't really have that big of an emotional impact as the judges made it out to be. There have been a lot of emotional acts on reality shows that were way better choreographed and performed. Sanaya's transitions from one step to another are not really smooth. It always looks like she is calculating when to take the next step. Mohit still has a long way to go and I hate it how the choreographers always try to make Sanaya the center of attention in every act after he messed up. Mohit shouldn't be just "supporting" Sanaya in every performance. I am glad I am not the only one who felt this.

After Divek... monaya is one who also does Emotional drama...
Liked the concept (was very unique)...but yes 29 was a over score... 26-27 was okay... or even 24-25 for mohit's expression... He needs acting classes...

And its high time...THEY DANCE...instead of sliding, lifting and running around...

.
.

EDIT: Sorry couldnt help but post... Mohit's expression🤣 sorry but the expression was very funny yet irritating (Spoilt the performance) ... the constant expression he kept in the act...

That's also I think
In 2nd week when sanam abi perform a behayd pyar wala act judges say in this act they do more drama than dance
They should do more dance

But now a days Jodi's do emotional act with zero dance only just few step but get Fuller mark

I didn't know being teary about a tragedy like 26/11 that shook entire India, was termed as "Rona Dhona" and drama!
To each their own.
They need to improve, yes, but it was a very powerful performance. Sanaya is hands down one of the most graceful female dancers this season, thanks to her JDJ stint. Mohit has a long way to go, but at least he doesn't miss out on steps anymore and they do attempt something new every week that pushes one to think.

There will always be differences in opinions and that's what we are! We are known for our heterogeneity and hence, if you found it a "24 kinda act" I bet we were watching different shows at the same time!
