How would you define national newspaper?

There is no national newspaper to say. There are more than 1000 newspapers published daily in India in more than 25 languages. And Indian people still prefer old habit of reading physical paper every morning instead of digital one. Many regional languages newspapers (like Bengali, Marathi, Gujrati, Tamil etc) have more than a millian circulation .

The newspaper names you mention published by Hindi speaking people and covers mostly Delhi Mumbai n up stories just like the Hindu covers mostly chennai Kerala n other south cities .

DD is only Indian national channel n thr is no national newspaper that's why Assamese prefer Assam daily Maharashtra people read some local newspaper in up Bihar some dainik bhasker n so on...
