I'm still somewhat in disbelief over the Shivaay-Anika I got to witness in today's epi...especially Shivaay.
I'd all but given up trying to make sense of where the writers are going with the NKK track, especially given the comedy jungle filler week we've had going on the last few days😆...but then out of nowhere, they brought all the threads back together today in such a BEAUTIFUL conversation...in my opinion, it was the ultimate mature and sorted conversation b/w two leads on TV...the kind you rarely, if ever get to see in terms of two people talking about their relationship...because flowery words are a dime a dozen with any pair, you can make grand declarations of love and forever...but today's conversation was b/w two people starkly aware of their flaws and insecurities and still so DETERMINED to persevere and fight for their relationship against all odds...I was just so floored watching that👏👏
I'd made a post in this forum asking why it must be a choice for Shivaay, why it cannot simply be a case of their basic personalities co-existing with their gradual evolution over the course of this journey...today I was glad to see some clarifications from a writing perspective even for Anika. She clarified that she fears more the possibility of anything from her past, having an impact on her present, on her relationship with Shivaay...and this is an Anika that makes sense, who got better words today to clarify her perspective...so thank you for that writing team.
Thank you also for giving us a Shivaay so SELF-AWARE in this moment...so very amazingly CLEAR about both his shortcomings, his flaws as well as his determination to fight for not just her, but for THEM, their relationship...
Some beautiful dialogues today...I particularly loved Shivaay's analogy about the tree that doesn't bow in the face of any storm...woh ped jo kisi ke saamne nahin jhukta...he likened himself to that tree...somewhere, I felt the metaphor was also apt for their relationship or atleast what it is evolving into...a tree with deep roots that can withstand any storm trying to uproot it...the way he said, "Humara rishta kabhi nahin hil sakta, kyunki is rishte mein tum aur main hain...kabhi hilne DENGE nahin".
I also absolutely LOVED his point about how this is supposed to be a JOURNEY...that change doesn't come overnight, it takes time...it's a LIFELONG PROCESS...the way he spoke so candidly about how he's trying to evolve himself, how it takes him a little longer than everyone else to change...aww Billu🤗...
"Hum dono ek dusre ko, ek dusre ke hisaab se badalte rahenge, ek dusre mein dhaalte rahenge"...such a mature description of what marriage is supposed to be...👏👏
The fierce earnestness with which he told her that they won't let anything affect their relationship, "Yeh tumhaari aur meri zimmedaari hai...kyunki humne ek dusre ko accept kiya hai...jaise bhi hum hain...tum Anika, main PED😆...toh ab jo bhi mushkil aaye...aasaan nahin hoga...par hum karenge"...
Heck, they even managed to inspire Inspector Saab to quote Nida Fazli😆

They gave off such a lovely sense of being a unit today...I think I kinda fell in love with them today😆😆
And as if all this was not enough, they followed it up with such an adorable Champa ride scene...haha the way they follow up continued with Shivaay being all tired from walking and Anika asking him not to give up😆...then finding Champa with the magic chutki and Shivaay mumbling under his breath how he'll have to hear this from her all his life now😆...I just LOVE how their essential dynamic remains even after all the big speeches about persevering against all odds...the dynamic is beautiful both in the light hearted moments as well as the poignant ones...there is a sense of solidness...of deep comfort and understanding b/w them today...
LOVED the song choice..."Yun ki kat jaayega safar saath chalne mein"...they were like the perfect partners, humsafars today😆
And this continued on even after they got home...I couldn't help but marvel at the fact that the SSO who once wouldn't even bend to pick up papers from the floor was bending at Anika's feet insisting that she let him touch her foot to help ease her pain😆...even Anika wasn't being able to live it down...haha...Pinky's looming saaya aside, I just loved how Shivaay expressed a deep sense of resolve regarding Shivika's relationship with each other today...building both his own and her resolve into pouring everything into making sure their relationship withstands all crisis..."Ek dusre ke liye goli khaa sakte hain toh maa ki gaali bhi khaa hi sakte hain"...hahahaha what a fantastic line to end the week on.
Writers this is for you for this episode...👏👏👏...I'm amazed that you even attempted to go this route to show a rock solid relationship fighting against all odds rather than contrived MUs...let's see how long we are allowed this reprieve...but thank you for now😆😆
