Today was the first episode when US and kanak actually talk. She isn't the app type, she says tm to his face. She is the girl of the moment. Loved their silent chemistry, the gestures the understanding and not understanding assumptions. It was a super sweet episode for me. I would have wanted it hot and intense but it was as unpredictable as Kanak is for US. Love her unexpected way of befriending, blabbering half truth, being a mystery and holding true to it for all the family members to see.
Coming to the episode
Tu kahin tha main kahin tha arahe pass itne hum --- yes people this is the BG of Uma Shankar and kanak. Those who all were excited for the first hug might be disappointed as it didn't go as expected. Nothing flew, they just stood frozen and the BG music wove the magic.
Kanak finds a partner in crime, the little shiv -- everyone in this house is disciplined to the D. This little kid is learning priyam yoga for Gods sake. Hey shiv, said Kanak to the little chuha of the house.. he would be her support- the little bhedi of US' lanka. I loved the fun chemistry of the two kids, Kanak and Shiv. Shiv takes her to Uma Shankar's library/lab where he keeps all his important things. Kanak is in awe of the place and asks if Uma Shankar a doctor. Shiv replies negative and she loses interest. Kanak has attention span of a litttle kid 😆
Kanak is going through the room when she spots a huge chest behind the curtains. She is startled when Uma Shankar calls from behind, she falls in his arms. Her arms go around him and he places his hands strategically on her waist. The scene could/would have been a bit more intense. one sigh or tremble of Uma Shankar would have made the scene a bit more interesting. He just stood there. I could seee no emotion on his face, he has lived a brahmachari so long that shouldn't touching a woman/his wife/ inhaling the Chandan Mehak this close rattle his calm aura. His hands were just there as they were supposed to be, but feeling nahi aii.
They break apart awkwardly. They had a cute scene. He asks more softly what she was doing here. And Kanak is caught red handed blabbering "I didn't come alone, no I wasn't looking for something" she asks if he understands. He replies he doesn't understand anything. -- how very easily conveyed that US is at loss of understanding anything related to Kanak.
Shiv comes as a savior and helps Kanak explaining her presence there. US gets rid of Shiv reminding him of his schedule- US is smart he doesn't want any distractions while being with Kanak, no matter how stoic that meeting is. US sees the file and has a pull and pull game with Kanak. It was lovely watching them bicker silently. He wins and sees the portrait. Kanak starts self loathing in mind. It was super realistic and fun watching. US thanks her for the second gift from his Dharm Patni, as he again 'assume' that this is her way of accepting her new name. Kanak looks confused on the phrase second gift. He asks if she would like to see, and very easily bares his shoulder for her to see the bite mark. I mean US no maryada or garima in baring the shoulder 😆
He says he will keep this gift (the portrait) in the cupboard where he keeps all things important. Kanak walks behind him trying to have a look in the cupboard. US sees her with intent and gets the key from his thread and opens the cupboard/treasure chest. Voila !! Kanak spots the paper inside and is moving closer to US. They have a small bump, his hand flew to caress her but stops midway. He asks if she was okay, and says he didn't realize she was this near. Ohhh come on dude, are you intoxicated?? You knew her presence amongst hundreds yet when she was centimeters away you couldn't figure out- shadi k baad sab badal jata hai 😆
Kanak is holding the papers when Massi maa enters and she drops them in fear. Her freedom was in her hand and it just slips out. Massi maa announces the travel plan, that they are to depart today for the shudi karan pooja for 5 days. Masssi maa asks Kanak to pack her and US' clothes, US says he will do his packing himself. This is good as of now, so your things/chores yourself.
Kanak is in shock and thinks about some way to get the papers within two hours, so that she can escape to Pushkar and US can go wherever he wants. Entire family is busy packing, but Palomi is making turmeric balm for US--- rolling my eyes at her, behn paraye mard par apni nazar mat jamao. Suman taunts Kanak slightly for injuring US and kanak thinks everyone knows in this house. She sees US going out and thinks of a way to stop him to get the key. She stops him, he stops she doesn't say anything he leaves. Everyone is shocked to see Kanak stopping US. Kanak runs after him, bumps into Palomi and takes the balm from her and runs-- signifying that Kanak has taken the baton from her and she can look after her husband, be it rather unconsciously yet. Massi maa tells everyone to run behind her. I could see a SLB scene going on heroine running behind the hero and tearing her duppata. She stops him and US turns to see her and everyone outside. He asks what's going on, suman alleges that Kanak was running so they thought she was trying to escape. US looks at her questioning Kanak shows him the balm and says it's not good to leave the wound unattended for long. He smiles and goes inside with her following him.
Massi maa is intrigued by Kanak's behavior, she says something is fishy that such stubborn girl is following US
Uma Shankar asks her for the balm, she refuses silently and he takes off his shirt. Omg that body. Raising temperatures here, but Kanak has zero response to the body--- I mean come on at least appreciate his physical beauty, not loudly though but at least acknowledge the 6pack abs 😳 US needs to work harder and smarter if he wants an ounce of genuine approval from his Dharm Patni.
Precap- Kanak is figuring a way to get the key off, US jokes that by killing mosquitoes she have the balm everywhere. Massi maa has come to spy and sees them. Kanak stands behind US. He looked as if he was the wall now in front for her. Or maybe that's me reading too much into the situation.
P.S- although suman should in no way make way into my post but her behavior irks me. She is stuck in grade 7 for years-- thankfully atleast she goes to school. She sympathizes with Palomi that she made the balm and kanak just took off with it. --
