The reason is very simple. The websites which are mostly doing what we or makers are doing. Creating content. While some makers work on story character or invest for good production value, some just lift story lines or make poor work.
You can easily spot the ones where the reporters have bothered to visit the sets, tried to take interviews. And you can see that the ones which give shocking random twist news are the ones which do not have anyone from their end talking to cast but a rather monotonous voice narrating in the background when some of the shots or sometime even just a picture is being shown from the TV which they can source from anywhere and still get some hits.
In case they are not showing the real content they HAVE to use sensational rumours to get the required number of hits.
