Holla peeps!
I know that I am not the one for games since they either get pretty chaotic or dead. But I would like to give it a try.
I don't think I would be able to write One Shots for a while or any piece of writing for that matter.
The reason being my upcoming University Exams.

And to make up for that, I want all of you, silent readers, crafty writers, active ones who keep up the conversations, and anyone who is high on imagination to play along.

Instructions:-

1. I will give you a basic situation and leave it as a question to be answered.
2. You can either write a small paragraph, poem or shot or even an odd mix of words on how the situation would play out in your head.
3. Any member who answers the question is free to ask one in return, either to someone specific or generally.
4. Members are free to answer any question they please.
5. More than one answer from one member to the same question will do.

QUESTION:-

What if Avni had not known about Diksha and Riya's plan to frame her for theft? What if Amol had actually called up Neil to arrest Avni?

Feel free to type out anything that comes to mind.

I will post my reply as a One Shot if we get active participation!

Avni: I didn't do anything. I swear. Please dadi ji, you believe me right?

Daya stands there still and confused, whilst riya, amol and diksha look on at the scene victoriously, as they watch avni plead with daya to believe her. Meanwhile, neil walks into the room looking around at everyone.

Neil: Riya! What's up? Why did you call me here so quickly, and why did you tell me to bring DD and handcuffs with me?

Neil looked at Riya, bemused, recalling Riya's call to him, and thinking she was once again up to her childish antics as he remembers her asking him to bring his handcuffs with him. But as his eyes move from face to face, his eyes zoom in on a tearful avni. His expressions soften, gulping down, as he registers and takes in avni's teary face and pleading posture. Neil steps one small foot forward towards avni with one hand out, gesturing towards her.

Neil: Ananya! What's wrong? Why are you crying?

Neil looked at avni with concern; his eyes portraying both confusion and anguish at seeing avni's dejected and teary face. Riya looks at neil, stunned by his concerned fill tone and attention for avni. Her expression hardens as she straightens her posture, and looks at neil, prepared to deliver a blow to avni.

Riya: You are asking the wrong question, ACP Neil Khanna. What you should be asking is, why did you do this Ananya?

Neil's eyes shift from Riya to Avni, and back to Riya, as he is confused as ever.

Riya: I didn't call you here as your fiance. I called you here as a responsible citizen to report a crime to you.

Diksha and amol look at Riya from the corner of their eyes, both smirking devilishly at Riya's facade, as they look at her with appraisal for her act.

Neil: Please stop beating around the bush, and tell me straight what has happened, and what crime are you talking about?

Riya: I'm talking about ananya. We all trusted her so much, but what did she do? She stole from us! She tried to steal our family jewellery, but she failed, and now her real face is out in the open for us all to see. See for yourself.

Riya grabs avni's arm, applying too much force as she almost throws avni forward, but Neil catches her. He holds ananya as he looks with sympathy at ananya's tearful face. His expressions harden, as his eyes shift to look up at riya, as he glares at her with fury.

Neil: RIYA! (Neil shouts) What kind of a way is this to behave? I told you to tell me straight what happened, not to give your judgement and act without thinking. You are accusing ananya of stealing, but you can simply tell me what she has done, there is no need to use force with her like this. It is my job to decide what a person has or has not done.

Neil looks back at ananya, as he exhales heavily, looking both shocked at the allegations thrown at ananya, and conflicted. Neil props ananya up properly, stabilising her posture so she is stood straight. Neil straightens up his own posture, as he looks at ananya, and tries to harden his expressions, but his attempt to keep a strict composure fails the moment he begins speaking to ananya, as his expressions soften and his voice cracks, finding it difficult to bring himself to ask her the questions.

Neil: Ananya! The allegations that have been put against you are serious. I just want to ask you what happened?

Everyone, including daya, turns to neil, as they are all shocked with neil's action.

Diksha: What are you doing Neil? We're telling you that ananya has been caught stealing in our house, and instead of asking us what exactly happened and what we saw, you choose to ask ananya first, straight away for her side of the story? Why?

Amol: Yes Jiju! How are you showing so much compassion and inclination for a criminal? You never showed such compassion for me when i was in this position...and i'm your fiance's brother. Why?

Daya: Be quiet you two. Who is the police officer? You two or neil? Neil knows how to do his job. Neil beta, ask whatever you want to whoever you feel.

Neil looks away from them all, dazed and frozen in place, as he himself realises that they are right and questions himself mentally why he didn't ask them for explanation, but instead chose to let avni clarify herself first. Neil collects himself, as he quickly attempts to justify his blunder.

Neil: First of all amol, a person is not a criminal until clear evidence has been presented against them to prove their crime. Like I said to riya, that is for me to judge, and not for you to pass judgements on. Secondly, your crime was proven and witnessed by me, ACP Neil Khanna himself, and despite that, you came out scott free only because the person who filed the case against you took their case back.

Neil looks at avni as he remembers his anger over her taking the case back against amol. Neil found that he was unable to get over his disappointment at avni's distrust for him.

Neil: In that case, there is no meaning to your argument of me showing more compassion towards ananya than you amol. And i am asking ananya as you have all already given your verdict that she stole your family jewellery, so now ananya can tell me why you think that. So, ananya, tell me! What happened.

Neil looks patiently at ananya, his expressions confusingly shifting quickly between sympathy and a sense of duty.

Avni: Thank you Neil for giving me the opportunity to at least speak, as nobody has given me that chance since this happened...

At this point, neil's heart melts seeing avni's smile of gratitude for him, despite the tears adorning her cheeks and her eyes clouded with the same tears.

Avni: ...but the thing is, when I myself have no idea what is going on, how can I explain what happened? All I know is that I came back into my room, then all of a sudden, riya and diksha come in there and start searching my room saying they are looking for the jewellery and they find it here, but I genuinely don't know how the jewellery boxes got here.

Neil looks at avni, and as he analyses her expressions and words...

I hope you guys enjoyed reading this, but now I challenge anybody to finish off this scene and tell me what happens after avni tells neil this.

Avni felt like her world was spinning on the wrong axis.

The moment Amol had flippantly threatened to call Neil to arrest her for something she was clearly being framed for, she had felt her breath hitch. It did not matter that Riya seemed to be a little too pleased with that idea, it did not matter that Diksha's internal happy dance was soon going to be a real one, it did not matter that Dayavanti Mehta seemed to be confused on what to do next, but what did matter was the mere thought of Neil harbouring feelings of disgust towards her. Oh, that had terrified her.

"Ananya?"

Avni snapped out of her chaotic thoughts when she heard Neil call out to her.

"So do you think that someone is trying to frame you?" He asked cautiously.

"Are you stupid? Why would anyone try to do that! We are the Mehtas. We don't resort to such lowly tactics." Amol drawled.

"Another word and you would be in a lot of trouble, I promise." Neil clipped, exasperated.

"Why? There was nothing wrong about what he said." Riya screeched. "And it's high time that you tell me what exactly is going on here. Since when did you start defending criminals, huh, Neil? Why the good treatment for her and not my brother?"

"Have you not heard a word I said? I am not-"

"Then arrest her, damn it." Riya clutched the front of his shirt.

Avni could make out the repressed growl of annoyance as Riya dug her nails into the flesh of his chest. Amol smirked and flopped down on the bed while the rest of them simply exchanged looks.

"ENOUGH! Behave, Riya!" Dayavanti boomed.

Avni cocked her head to the side, trying to clear up her thoughts and form coherent words. The dread that seeped in was making her brain go numb. She was going to be arrested. She was so sure of it. And Neil would be the one doing that. He would never trust her, ever again, if she couldn't prove herself innocent. They would never be able to stand on a neutral ground and establish some sort of friendship.

"Ananya?"

She could imagine the way his brows would furrow in anger, soon followed by the flash of loathing and a sigh of disappointment. He would stomp on whatever soft corner he had for her and would look at her dead in the eyes while securing the handcuffs around her wrist. And again she would hope. Hope that maybe he would understand.

"Are you deaf?" Riya whirled around to face her, pulling her back to the present. "Talk, when you're being talked to."

She did not know for how long she simply stared at the other woman, dumbfounded. Time seemed to have slowed down for her alone while it ticked by rapidly for the rest of the world.

"I don't know who did this but it was not me." Avni whispered.

"As if!" Diksha scoffed.

"Diksha. Shut up." Dayavanti barked. "Neil will handle it."

Within seconds there was a shrill ring of the doorbell that echoed in Avni's ears. Her heart sped up when she heard the padding footsteps rushing towards the bedroom that they currently occupied. The door was thrown open as DD and a lady officer skidded to a stop, the former dragging a male servant along.

Neil's gaze shifted from DD to the lady officer and back. The trembling man in DD's hold looked just about ready to faint when Diksha stepped towards him.

"Oh come on, you all are boring me. Arrest her and get going." Amol sneered.

"I have had enough of your bullshit, kid." Neil pulled him off the bed, gripping his collar.

Amol's eyes widened and lips parted in slight fear as Neil loomed over him. Dayavanti placed a calming hand on the latter's shoulder, urging him to let go of her grandson and forgive him for his loud mouth.

"Sir ji, we found this man trying to run out from the back door with this bag of clothes and this pack of money. Told us he was just doing what he had been asked to do." DD piped up.

Neil abruptly let Amol go and offered the servant to sit.

"Do not lie to me or try to dodge my questions. Save us from wasting our time and tell me what you know. Explain everything and do not omit anything. Get it?" Neil commanded.

The man nodded. "I am Ramprakash, the head of the cleaning staff. Around two hours back I was here in Riya madam's room dusting some shelves. I knew how she liked her mirror and windows to be clear of all that dust and hand impressions so I had been gone for a minute or two to fetch the glass cleaner. And when I came back, I-"

"We do not need to know his unnecessary cleaning sprees." Diksha interrupted.

Neil simply snapped his fingers and the lady officer cracked her knuckles and glared at Diksha menacingly, who smiled uneasily and backed into the wall.

"I am sorry, sir. Diksha madam paid me to run away and keep my mouth shut. She told me she would ruin my life if I reported anything to the police. She even offered to give me a better reward after Ananya madam was in jail." He sobbed.

Avni blinked, trying to process what had been said. Neil was making Ramprakash drink water to calm him down while the lady officer was already a step away from Diksha, handcuffs dangling from her fingers.

Dayavanti stumbled and sat down on the bed, her glare shooting daggers at her daughter. Hetal was whispering sweet nothings into a hyperventilating Riya's ears. And Amol, well, he looked like he wanted to set the servant on fire.

"Ananya, don't worry. Sir ji will not let anyone wrong you." DD offered her a kind smile which Avni happily returned.

"I know." She sighed.

"You know what?" She yelped as Neil whispered in her ear. She could clearly imagine the twitch of his lips as he restrained himself from smiling.

"I know you'll stick to that annoying habit of being a knight in the shining armour even though I am no damsel in distress." She breathed, this time, not interfering with the arrest of another member of the Mehta family.

I challenge (anyone, everyone, someone) to write on the elaboration of the latest promo where Ali confronts Avni and Neil overhears them.

Seems like no one is really interested. It's alright. You guys can tell me so that we can reach a decision to continue/discontinue this game.

This was amazing. So amazingly written, and goes excellently well with what i had written. 👏
And it's disappointing to see nobody is playing this game. It's not like a long piece is required. It can be short and sweet too.

Well, we almost created a two shot! 😆
A really cool two shot for that matter!
Probably someone would join in after they are free! Anyway, all we can do is wait!
