Hello everyone
It is stated initially that this story is based on Vishmamitra and Menaka. Well I don't know much about their story, but after after watching this show I feel it is following story of Buddha.

Does anyone feel like that?

in no way it resemble budha...as kushi king buddha left the luxury life after his marriage and even after having a son. this show goes in Vishmamitra and Menaka way, where king Vishmamitra (naren) was in his spiritual way , Menaka (pooja) was sent by god Indra ( haish) to distract him , to make him fall for her, in her attempt Menaka (pooja) falls for Vishmamitra( naren).

The reason for Vishmamitra to go in spiritual way is, Vishwamitra was having a kamadhenu cow nandini gifted to him by god indra which provided every thing for him.the another king Kaushika came to know about it and wanted that cow at any cost.during the war between the two for that cow Vashista destroys Vishvamitra's entire army by the simple use of his great mystic and spiritual powers. This incident made a deep impression on the King. He realized that power obtained by penances was far greater than mere physical might. He renounced his kingdom and began his quest to become a greater rishi than Vashista.

i think that is y they show naren having a farm lol

Bt alwayssmile ...i read gautam buddha story today...he left his house after some tragic incidence as astrologer said he will be a great king or a great saint( in naren case same thing astrologer said ...might be a gr8 businessman or great saint)...budh parents also worried abt the same thing...thatswhy he was not been allowed to go to outside to place by so that he will be far away frm life's actual reality...but once budha acrosses one old man pathetic condition nd his life changes...serial maker took lots of inspiration frm budha or vivekanand story...even dancer( veshya) story taken frm vivekanand life...how she was inspired from vivekanand( in serials nd tv every where they potray dancer with good heart)...there also they show...sooraj barjatya narrate one story of vivekanand nd dancer in his interview where vivekanand mother send one dancer to him but dancer was so inspired by hin and become his disciple...may be few few instances they took frm stories

Bt research work done by serial ppl or there team...why we are researching a lot for this serial...lolz
