Hi friends,

As I was re-watching the episodes this week, I thought to myself, 'what if Kanak wasn't under any kind of misunderstanding and refused to marry UmaShankar outright when MassiMa initially approached her?'

Personally, I see the whole kerfuffle as UmaShankar's pride being hurt as his bride, the only woman who has ever been attracted to, the only woman he has ever wanted in his life, calls this a misunderstanding, rejects him, and leaves. As much as he might say that he was following the signs given to him by god, there has to be an element of hurt pride under all of that.

So what if Kanak had said not to MassiMa initially? Do you think Uma would have just let Kanak go, just let her walk away? OR do you think he would have intervened in some way, tried to convince her himself, or tried to get her to see the signs that would have led to the forced marriage anyway?

You've raised a question which was popping in my mind from d day he forced married her!!

My idea is dat (hammie..Hope U're reading it😃)...If Kanak wud hv refused masisa in d beginning only...Uma wud hv gone all d way to Pushkar...N asked bhabho for kanak's hand in marriage...Our ziddi Kanak wud hv said no (again 😆) n Uma wud hv threatened her about her shop...If he can forcefully marry Kanak, then he can do dat too!!

Or maybe he cud hv made a deal wid bhabho to give him Kanak in exchange of Kanak mishthan bhandar...N Kanak, to save d shop..Wud hv married Uma!!

I honestly don't see Uma as the threatning type. I see him more as either making a deal or actually attempting to woo Kanak.

I don't know if a Shiv bhakt such as Uma would have made a deal for a person in exchange for a store. Possibly he would ask for her hand and he could be lenient with the store.

Then again, you're correct. If he could pick up a girl and marry her against her will, what else is he capable of?

I agree..She cud hv given d excuse dat if someone is calling..Then rather than thinking of stupid introductory stuff, they shud answer..I wish Kanak wud hv snapped back at dat Suman🤢

Uma wouldve let her go if she rejected the marriage outright. He resorted to force only after she intially said yes, and when everyone assembled for marriage, said no. Atleast thats what i want to believe 😆 .

If she said no, may be he wouldve sent his maasi maa to kanak's family for asking Kanak's hand. If he got to know that kanak is engaged to be married, he wouldve let kanak be. I think the biggest mistake kanak did was not to tell Uma that she is engaged to someone else. Uma's dharam wouldnt have allowed him to force kanak into marriage.
