I just loved the first 4 minutes of the episode, today. And that's saying a lot. Since the entire episode was just FREAKIN' AMAZING. One of the best ever.
It begins with Shivaay pulling an Anika and trying to act all normal by speaking way too much about inconsequential things and trying to joke things back to normal.
"Do you want coffee? I know you drink espresso to copy me but you hate it but don't worry I'll add sugar"
He grabs a cup and in this muddled state, doesn't even fill it up all the way. Adds sugar and stirs frantically. And in a typical SSO move, Anika hold his hand to stop him and calm him down.
"Shivaay? You're worried, aren't you? Tell me what's bothering you?"
He thinks about what Pinky has said. The doubts have been planted. Still, Shivaay version 2.0 is very much alive and kicking. He swats the thoughts away and tries to change the topic again. "Drink your coffee"
Anika puts the mug away and notices the broken phone. She says what we all have been thinking - SSO has gotten angry enough to do so much damage after a looong time. It must be something big. "Koi buhat badhee baat rahee hogee. Tell me what's wrong. Please"
He turns to look at her. There's so much devastation in his eyes. I feel like a part of him was scared. Scared his NKK would take her away from him. Scared that he'd go back to what he was. Scared of living a boring, black and white zindagee again. Scared he'd be as lost as he once was, without her. Scared of never being able to rest his head in her lap. He doesn't want to be the lost, desolate, weary and grief-stricken man he'd be without this woman in his life. He knows his life would be worse than it was before her.
It hits him all of a sudden that he can NEVER let that happen
And he lunges for her. His lifeline. His salvation. His deliverance. His jeeney kee wajah.
He wipes away the lone tear in his eyes. Let this pesky NKK go if it has to. He'll make a new pehchaan with the woman in his arms. As long as he has her, it'll all be okay.
Other parts of the episode:
Surbhi and Nakuul were both fantastic today. Surbhi was especially amazing in that gotra pooja scene. The fear, the slight shiver running through her body... like D day is here for her. It was impeccably done. I love how she owned up to everything, despite her fears.
And Shivaay is doing so well! Reacting exactly like we all expected him, too. He's conflicted but he's adamant that Anika is more important than anything and everything else to him now. Despite everything, the first thing on his mind was Anika; her safety and how to handle her in the pooja. He was looking out for her throughout. I loved him today ❤️
PRECAP: So I think may be Shivaay said something to her unintentionally, she got hurt and left. Or, she tries to tell him about Mahi and he says something like "how can a chawl person be my brother" and that makes her question her standing in his life, again. Either way, he'll do something stupid. Because she looks genuinely mad in the precap and he looks like he knows he's screwed up
So, she leaves and he gets her back in SSO taashan. Honestly, this man can't stay away from her for a day. Don't be surprised if the first thing he does after bringing her back is handcuffing Anika to him 🤣
