I- no naina I m ok, I m destined to be alone you people don't have...
She was still to complete her sentence when they heard from door ," can I come in ".
They turned and saw subbu standing there ,ishita made a dirty face looking to him while he gave a bright smile .Ishita turned to leave for her room when she heard subbu ," miss iyer where are you going ,I have come here to talk to you only ".
Ishita stopped listening to him and turned while he continued" miss iyer I know we both are rivals but the truth that I liked you from the very first sight can't be changed .My mother wants me to get married asap so I m here with marriage proposal. "
Ishita's eyes widened listening to this ,before she could say anything he proposed her for marriage " miss iyer I want to marry you ."
Ishita became still listening to him while her siblings had different reactions.Vicky got happy listening that may be now ishita will settle in her life and he can leave for London freely while naina didn't liked this marriage idea as she thought that if ishita will get married she will not get financial help from ishita after that .Ishita was about to deny when Vicky told ," Di agree for this marriage ,we know him he is a nice man ".
S- yes ishita please agree as I want you in my life .
Both Vicky and subbu started convincing ishita ,while she was still to react ,at last she told that she need sometimes to take any decision ,Saying so she ran to her room while subbu and Vicky talked for sometimes and he left when Vicky assured that he will convince ishita and make her agree for marriage .After he left ,Vicky went to ishita's room to convince her ,on the other hand ishita was trying Raman's number which was busy .She threw her phone in anger and cried her heart out ,hiding her face in pillow when she heard knock at her door .After few knocks she wiped her tears and went to open the door after composing herself ,there she saw Vicky and naina ,they came inside and Vicky spoke ," Di now what's the problem with Mr subramaniam , he is a well known business man ,not married yet and he himself has asked for your hand .I think you should agree for this marriage."
I- Vicky I already told that I don't want marry ,why are you forcing me .
V- di why don't you understand I want you to settled down before I leave for London .
I- why are you bothered about me ,Vicky I m not a school going kid that you are bothered about me .you go to London I m good here ,I can take care of myself .
N- yes Vicky di is right ,if she don't want to marry then why are you forcing her .
V- naina di you don't interrupt as I have least faith on you that you will keep a check on di but I m genuinely worried about her and want her to get settled in her life .
Ishita listened to him and spoke " ok if you want so ,give me sometimes .I will tell you about my decision tomorrow.
V- what's the need of thinking so much di, I agree he is our rival but at the same time we know that he always likes you ,then what's the need of thinking so much ,I think you should say yes .
I- Vicky please don't force me I told you na I need sometimes .
V- OK you take your time ,but it will be better if you agree .
Ishita nodded and they left from there .Ishita again called raman but his phone was still busy ,she tried some more time then spoke irritatedly in anger ,throwing her phone " why I m thinking about him again and again when he is not at all bothered about me .waise bhi, it will be good for me and him both if I will marry subbu then raman cannot force me and both of us will be saved from the mockings of society.
Ishita's heart- but what if Raman came back.
Ishita's mind - you still think he will come back ,forget him ,he will not come back .
Ishita's heart - but he promised me .
Ishita's mind - yeah ,but at the same time ,he wanted you to mouth your love but you didn't then how come you think that he will come back .
Ishita's heart - he loves me.
Ishita's mind - and you always chased him .
Ishita's heart - but I love him and want him to be back for me .
Ishita's mind - you don't have any right to even think about it as you never reciprocated his feelings instead you always pushed him from you .
She has a long debate between her mind and heart but didn't reached at any conclusion as her mind wanted to believe that he has left her but her heart still had belief that he will come back to her .Like this two days passed ,ishita couldn't take any decision about her marriage with subbu as everytime she think about it ,she will feel like betraying raman and always ends up without any decision .After two days subbu called Vicky for their decision ,Vicky told that he will ask ishita and will inform him shortly.After disconnecting the call he went to ishita and confronted her ,she still denied but after some convincing at last she agreed for marriage with subbu ,Vicky informed same to him .Subbu told that he will consult his panditji and will inform about engagement and marriage date .
Next day subbu called and told that his panditji has given date of engagement after two days and marriage after a week .Vicky told that its too early how he will organize everything when subbu assured that all arrangements will happen as iyers don't have to do much . After some convincing Vicky agreed and ishita engagement got fixed with subbu after two days .She became gloomy and cried but didn't opposed Vicky's decision as her belief that raman will come back was fading with each passing time .
Next day she was standing near window ,looking out randomly thinking anything and everything when Vicky came and spoke handing her phone " di lo baat karo ".
I(with questioning eyes)- who's it.
V- Raman.
Saying so he left while Ishita's heart sank listening to his name ,she took the phone near to her ear and closed her eyes feeling contended listening to his voice .
R- hi ,jaan .
I-(angrily)- why did you called ,I don't want to talk to you .
R- I knew you must be angry with me but listen to me for once .
I- I just don't want to listen anything from you .
Though she was faking anger but from inside she was craving to listen him ,she told that she is disconnecting the call but didn't and continued listening to him .
R- I m so sorry jaan , actually I lost my phone and I didn't remember your or Vicky's number ,at the same time I was convincing papa for opening a project in pune so that I can come to you and above that I wanted to give sometimes to you ,so that you can decide your exact feeling for me . Today I got Vicky's number in my mother's phone and called him ,I so wanted to listen to your voice but couldn't ,as I lost my damn phone ,kuch bolo na I m dying to listen you .
I(with teary eyes )- I m getting engaged to subramaniam tomorrow.
R( surprised )- what ,what did you say .
I- yeah you heard it right.I m getting engaged to...
She couldn't complete her sentence as her words died inside her mouth while controlling her emotions. Next moment she found the call was disconnected , she burst into tears when she heard her phone ringing ,she picked the phone thinking its Raman's call but to her disappointment it was her PA's call ,she has called to remind that ishita has a very important meeting in after noon .She talked to her PA and then went to office after freshening and composing herself.All the day she was hell disturbed , she became more restless after talking to him ,she still was having battle between mind and her heart ,her heart was saying that he will come running after listening about her engagement while her mind was threatening her that he don't want to follow her any more .
In evening she entered the house with a small hope that may be he has come .She entered the house and found it as it is ,she became sad and went to her room with slow lazy steps .She opened her room lazily and entered ,she kept her belongings in bed and walked towards her cupboard to take her cloths ,when she felt a strong pair of arms around her and next moment she was caged between wall and him ,she closed her eyes feeling him so near after so many days while he clutched her hairs and hissed pulling them " I assured you that I will be back in some days ,don't you have that much belief in your love ."
I( giving back to him )- you didn't even call me once .
R- so you assumed that I left you.
I- Vicky want to go to London and before that he wanted me to settle down .
R- then come let's marry .
I- no ,I already agreed to marry subbu .
R- and you think I will let you do this .
I- please go back and don't create any mess , I already told you we are not compatible.
R( angrily )- shut up you ,not a word from you ,like seriously you thought that I left you .
She didn't spoke anything further just looked down while he pulled her for a bone crushing hug which ishita reciprocated fully ,she hided herself in him and cried ,listening to her cries his anger lessened and he started caressing her hairs to console her .
