There were 4 candles burning on the table in Tuesday's ((18/4) epi...

3 red candles & 1 white candle

During the course of the drama, Samay extinguished the 3 red candles but left the white candle burning.

When Saanjh asked him what he was doing, Samay said , "Tumhein apni sachchai ki asli tasveer dikha Raha Hoon Saanjh.".

I was intrigued by this, n since this show relies heavily on symbolism, was surfing the net for symbolism of different colours of candles, n this is what I found

White candles-Destruction of negative energy, peace, truth and purity

Red or Deep red Candles- Passion, energy, love, lust, relationships, sex, vitality, courage

WHITE candles reflect all colors back. White is also the Balance of all colors: Spiritual enlightenment, cleansing, clairvoyance, healing, truth-seeking, purity, innocence, clarity and unity, Dawn,purification, peace, truth, protection, spirituality, General work, cleansing, White help repels negativity; use to bring peace, spiritual strength, truth, purity; heals emotions, and provides protection.

Red candles Red is the color of sex, love, power and vitality. A red candle draws these qualities to you, and aids you in any spellwork that requires strong, fiery energy.

There are many other sites which say that specific candle colours have been used for specific purposes....I am simply trying to interpret what our CVs were trying to tell us thru these candles about Samay...

Does Samay extinguishing the red candles candles mean that :-

1)Samay is NOT looking for love, lust, passion in his pursuit of Maya?

2) Or that Samay wishes to extinguish Maya's power, her toxic relationships, the temporal, sexual love which exists between Arya?

Does Samay leaving the white candle burning mean that

1) Samay stands for peace, truth, purity & aims to destroy the negative energy in Maaya?

2)Will he be the one to show Maya the direction to heal her emotions & bring peace for her & all those around her who are suffering?

3)Will Samay provide the protection to Arjun's loved ones who are reeling under the onslaught of Maya's obsessive manipulations & wrongdoings?

If this is true, then it suggests that Samay is the mastermind behind Saanjh & Vandana coming together to collect proof for Ayan's innocence...& is a positive character...

But then, Samay's monologues were suggesting something else altogether...So is that the true picture, or is it the "unreliable narrative technique" being used by the CVs here??

The following post is about Samay's monologues/dialogues during the epi...Which have left me very confused...I would appreciate if somebody tried to answer them...

Today's episode(21/4) proved that Samay is NOT aware of Vandana & Saanjh's plan

Ok...Somebody please answer these questions of mine from Tuesdays epi...A very significant epi, imo..

1) what exactly was Saanjh reading & burning ?

2) Does Saanjh know about Samay's past involvement with Maya?

If yes, how is she later comfortable with Samay in front of her parents?

If not, what did she mean by saying she knows the truth?

3) Saanjh said she would tell Samay's truth to the whole world...N Samay got scared...& later, Suddenly, all were comfortable in front of Suman & Prem as if nothing had happened????...How n why?

4)"Maya ko paane ka aakhri mauka bhi gawaan doonga agar Saanjh ne mere aur Maya me baare mein sabko bata Diya...Maaya mujhe Kabhi maaf nahi karegi...Zinda nahi chhodegi mujhe...Yeh raaz baahar nahi aa sakta...Kissi keemat par bhi yeh raaz baahar nahi aa sakta..." - does this monologue from Samay suggests that he desperately wants to win Maya's confidence?

5) "I m sorry, Saanjh ...Tum Ek bohot achchi ladki ho...I mean Ek achchi ladki thi...Lekin yeh Sach baahar nahi aa sakta...Main Maya ko nahi kho sakta...I'm really sorry Saanjh"...& He picks up the knife..."agar Maya ko Khush rakhna Hai toh tumhein hamesha me liye khamosh hona padega, Saanjh...I m sorry" - what could the hidden meaning here be, because obviously Samay didn't ACTUALLY intend to kill Saanjh??...Or is it unreliable narration here to off set viewers' perceptions about Samay...

6) when Saanjh confronts Samay as to why did he proclaims to love her, when there is no love at all in their relationship, Samay simply shrugs her hands off, n goes n extinguishes 3 red candles, but leaves one white candle burning on the table...

He says, "kyunki Kabhi Kabhi Sach batane ki himmat nahi hoti..."

Saanjh wants to know why he is extinguishing the 3 red candles

"Tumhein apni sachchai ki asli tasveer dikha Raha Hoon Saanjh..

...kyunki kuch Sach Aise hote Hain jo sabke saamne nahi aane chahiye...Jo nuksaan Sach Kar sakta Hai, usse jhooth ka faayda Kabhi nahi bhar sakta...Aur main apne pyaar ke liye kuch bhi Kar sakta Hoon...Kuch bhi...Tum bohot achchi ladki ho Saanjh...Lekin thoda bolti zyaada ho...Aur kuch baatein Aisi hoti Hain jo humein apne Dil main hi chhupa Leni chahiye...Warna hum un baaton ke Saath hamesha hamesha me liye dab jaate Hain...Aur mere pyaar ko yeh bilkul pasand nahi ki uske baare main Kisi ko bhi kuch bhi pata chale...Shaadi ka khel khel rahi Hai Woh...Aur main intezaar ka...Main intezaar Kar raha Hoon ki kab uski Shaadi toote, aur kab Woh Meri baahon main aa jaaye..." - which truths could be Samay talking about??

7) Itne main, Suman, Prem n Shubh enter clapping n Samay hides the knife in his pocket, with which he was playing behind Saanjh's head...

On being questioned, Samay says his first love is Suman...Whom he calls Ma or suman n he's come for her...This didn't make any sense at all to me...Did any of you understand anything?

8) Then Samay tells Saanjh, "Tumhein daraa Diya na?...Waise tumhein in kaagazon main aisa kuch bhi nahi milega jisse main darr jaaun...Jaanti ho KYUN?...Kyunki Meri Jo yeh Zindagi Hai na Ek khuli kitaab ki tarah Hai...Jab Jo chapter padhna Hai padh lo...I'm always there"

Does this mean that Samay & Saanjh were playacting with each other? & Samay has told her the truth about his entire past?

9)Then Suman does her Court drama

N Samay on being questioned what he likes most in Saanjh, says, " Uski sachchai, Jo uski aankhon see jhalakti Hai..."...N Suman puts a handcuff around Saanjh & Samay's hands...Didn't this dialogue sound too truthful & from the heart?

10) Then Saanjh says a very mportant & short dialogue, " Aaj me liye thank you, aur Kal me liye sorry"...What does this dialogue mean? What is Saanjh saying thank you for??????

11) Samay replies, " pyaar ki sabse badi problem yeh Hai ki Woh itna zyaada fael jaata Hai ki Woh sorry thank you ke liye koi jagah nahi chodta" - again, wasn't it a heartfelt dialogue from Samay

12) then, S & S hug, followed by Mathurs family group hug...

Then Saanjh talks about living for herself n giving up on Sharma family, which Vandana overhears & is shattered...Were these dialogues only for Prem, Suman & Shubh, to keep them away from the tension n heartbreak they were experiencing the day before? Coz Vandana is with Saanjh, we now know...

Would love to receive answers from all, but please let's all pledge to not bash each other at all...😃

As much as i like symbolism and their probable hidden meaning but i m not sure if the CVs would have gone so deep with the candle burning thing

What i think and these are my assumptions which may or may not be true :

SAMAY is really obsessed with Maya and can do anything to get her back in his life.

Samay and Maya might have been in a relationship and something went wrong between the two. What exactly happened i am not sure

Samay is aware about Maya's hidden sach and he would not let it come out in front of the world at any cost...It means that Samay can be a key in unlocking Maya's past !

Samay was really willing to KILL Saanjh although he knows that Saanjh is a good person as he himself said in his monologue..This shows that he can go to any extent to please Maya and win her love and trust

I also think that Samay is doing all of Maya's dirty work , he was involved in Maya's plan to frame Ayaan and he will keep helping Maya

As far as that SCENE was concerned i think Saanjh was just trying to scare Samay by burning some random papers and saying stuff like I know the truth and all and she and her parents thought that same way Samay was scaring Saanjh. 😆

Tumhein apni sachchai ki asli tasveer dikha Raha Hoon Saanjh..This line he might have said coz before killing her he would have told her the truth about himself and Maya coz he thought Saanjh already knew it and hence he decided to kill her...He would have said the complete truth but Suman and Prem entered that time...So, he would have shown his real face to Saanjh that he was in love with Maya and to win her back he can go to any extent even if it means killing Saanjh..This is what i interpreted

I don't think they told each other anything...he was again back to pretending to be a nice guy hence the dialogues khuli kitaab and all...Samay always says sensible things except when he is infront of Maya 😆

His intention was to kill Saanjh despite knowing that she is a good person but for Maya he was willing to cross the line, shows his Beyhadh obsession. So, he was sorry but NOT sorry...hence the line Tum Ek bohot achchi ladki ho...I mean Ek achchi ladki thi...Lekin yeh Sach baahar nahi aa sakta...Main Maya ko nahi kho sakta...I'm really sorry Saanjh"...& He picks up the knife..."agar Maya ko Khush rakhna Hai toh tumhein hamesha me liye khamosh hona padega, Saanjh...I m sorry"

I think he was talking about Maya's SACH and his past relation with her which he knows but can't let it out in front of the world when he said kuch sach bahar nahi aa sakte !

That thank u and Sorry was probably coz She was sorry for what happened in the court and thank u for understanding her and being here with her today.

I don't think both have told anything to each other

Maya's truth and her past will get revealed sooner or later, now i think the key will either be Jhanvi or Samay who knowingly or unknowingly might end up helping Saanjh and co in unlocking Maya's past.

I think Samay might get killed in the future maybe by Maya herself or because of her if she sees him as a threat.

I don't think he is a positive character but I might be wrong and CVs might surprise us with a twist in the tale one can never know...But right now i feel he is not a positive character.

Let's wait and watch 😃

Anshvi, Samay comes across as a person of profound thinking...Even if he wanted to kill Saanjh, you think he would do it like that, in her house, when her family knows they are both alone, n the main suspicion would fall on him?!?!?

No ways...Samay is way too smart for that!!...Hence I suspect a hidden meaning or a faulty narrative here...

I The CVs haven't disclosed the identity of the murderer as yet...You think they will reveal Samay's true character, if he was actually so negative, so soon??

See they might do it...it depends on how CVS want his character to shape.

Coz we have seen that when it comes to Maya Samay really loses it...he shows psychopath /obsessed behaviour

I think he was surely going to kill her coz he was not thinking straight at time all he saw was Saanjh as a threat who could ruin his chances of getting Maya back...hence he went for the kill in my opinion...I don't know what else he was doing with the knife against Saanjh's neck.

CVs might reveal him as a negative character now so that we can doubt him to be the killer as well rather than Maya...Maybe be to ad one more suspect to the list.

I think things will start getting more clear in the coming episodes

Khushi, I want to ask you something since you are so good in symbolism 😊. did you ever got this thought that Samay and Jhanvi has not met yet neither he asked Maya about it nor Maya mentioned about him to her mother.

Even I have been wondering about the same. If Maya & Samay were involved romantically in the past,. Jhanvi has to be aware of it, also about how Maya framed Samay...

The reason why Samay & Jhanvi haven't come face to face as yet seems to be for this very reason only...😃

I have made separate post regarding the murder track if you want to read it. But there is big connection to this part because if you look back to episode during Jhanvi's accident, there was somebody else in the factory other than Maya, Arjun and Saanjh. I am not saying it might be Samay but it was a male who attacked on her. And even the time is being messed up because if go pre leap before marriage then it was only 5 years before they Samaya had break up.

samay n maya were together in mental asylum , both were there for treatment , wat maya did in asylum jhanvi don't know abt it , it cant possible ki two psycho ppl meet coincidentally in a city n fell in love.
