Saanjh is the root cause of Maya's obsession and feelings of insecurity

And since Maya's friends had left her alone in her childhood, her insecurity has grown.

At first Maya did try to win VM's heart but since VM didn't budge, she knows that VM will always be against her and will try to separate Arjun from her. Which is what exactly VM still wants and will try to do.

Then Maya had tried to be friend with Saanjh. She trusted Saanjh but then Saanjh was all ready to break her trust and get close to Maya's husband behind her back. Both Arjun and Saanjh went overboard on their friendship that Maya has lost her trust from them.

So because of all this Maya has lost all hopes on Arjun's family and Saanjh. she can't take a chance because let's face it once Arjun gets close to family and friends then again, they would try to poison Arjun's head against Maya to an extent of divorce. This is Maya's thinking out of which she has been suffocating Arjun.

If and only if the Sharma family had accepted Maya in the first place and had Saanjh maintained distance with Arjun after ArYa marriage.

This is what I have always thought.. I don't see even a normal girl living a happy life in Sharma family unless the girl is Saanjh.. Sanjh, VM and Arjun can be happy only in the lil hub they have.. Here in this case since Maya is manipulative, she is suffocating them... In other case, I strongly feel the girl wud have felt suffocated.. But like some members pointed out, in a normal situation the girl wud have probably communicated her feelings to her husband about her discomfort regarding the close proximity of his friend... But again Arjun's attitude is so casual that he wud have not given any heed to her and hence divorce.. Either case I don't see Arjun and his wife living a happy married life unless the girl is Saanjh.. Even with Saanjh Arjun wud have made a happy couple but may be with VM and Ayaan, they might have managed.. God knows.

However, at least the situation wud have not been this worst.. Now the relations have become toxic for all of them.. Sad state of their lives...Their current conditions have become suicidal.. 😒

Not Maya but I have experienced few people with the traits of Vandana and Saanjh in my life and honestly hve not been able to appreciate them .. I wud never like to have people with the awesome qualities of Maaya, Saanjh, Vandana, Arjun in my vicinity... Such pendulum type of people...😆

@BOLD This is exactly the truth I believe & I agree with this because
it was Maya who made her forceful entry in between Arjun & Saanjh when she pushed Saanjh!
Saanjh was about to fall & Arjun supported her from falling!
The pooja/prasad plate fell at the feet of Ganesh ji, & Saanjh held back an irate Ajun saying it went to the right place -meaning to God at His feet!

This was the very first scene when all three were together at the Pooja, in Episode 1!
Very symbolic but with profound meaning! Maya was the intruder in their life!

And the first montage clearly depicted this. Maya holding Arjun by collar with an expression of evil eyes! It was not looking romantic by any stretch of imagination,even though Arjun was completely bowled over! Saanjh looked on with fear!
That was the story when it started!
True, Maya has a right over Arjun, now! But she can't keep him like her pet!
Arjun needs redemption first & that will pave way for Maya's also!
