^^Oh thank God!!! Seems like Raanjhana gets a lot of love around here & ive never understood WHY! It's absolutely shitty & very over-rated & Kundan as a character, is a loser of the highest order!! Can't stand him or that Zoya. Though no women can be as cruel as men with all the manipulation & making them spend money on their lunches & dinners, what men do is absolutely fatal & extremely dangerous!!! These men who cannot take NO for an asset & treat it as a challenge to make the woman worship at the shrine of his ego, are absolutely despicable!!!! đĄ That Madras incident was totally heinous ESP b/c they kept playing it on the telly like it was some sort of evil form of entertainment for them & they wanted to share it with others!!! đĄ Which is why films like Raanjhaana leave me completely cold & sick to my stomach. Bloody loser couldn't get over her after years & was just trying to buy her love! Yuck yuck yuuuck!!!
đ đ Word MEB Word!!Even I could not relate to either Kundar or Zoya.Though Dhanush tried his best to give layers to Kundan, all the nuances fail to make an impact when the premise itself is so disturbingđ¤˘
On another note,Have u ever seen the society slamming guys if they manipulate girls with sweet talks, gifts, secret trips and then disappear on the girl when they are bored? No! at most they will say bechari ladki, why she was so naive to fall for his charms! Some will simply blame her upbringing and her parents that she had no sankaar' inculcated in her..She will also be labelled foolish for getting her heart broken, trusting wrong guy.The guy on other hand will get a compliment abt how cleverly he escaped from crutches of girl, how he is chaloo, all girls want a piece of him, lovely flirt yada yada..đ¤˘.Now if the situation is reversed girls get called all names starting from bitch to s**t for having fun with a guy's heart.
But the most disgusting part is when people defend the animals who throw acid bombs, cut a girl's body into pieces, put her on fire claiming how she should not have broken his heart and how deeply he was in lurveeđ¤˘.The fault of the girls in both the Madras and Kerala cases was that they tried to chip off a piece of the massive ego of these ass holes by rejecting them on their face. And that fuels these psychotic men (who must be hell inspired by herogiri shown by mass heroes of Tamil or Malayalam movies abt how stalking is their birth right) to destroy the girl's life as a whole since taking a NO for an answer is insult to their mardaangiđđź
LOL @ IF conveniently questioning thought process of ppl just coz they do not subscribe to sensibilities of their fav movie script and directorđ.So predictable.Yea missed catching the underlying meaning ALR tried to convey...How abt its a matter of perception not intelligence?đI rather look for these elements in a VAM or Shootjit movie anyhow. My friend told me young men in Delhi and UP theaters were cheering for those gangsters when they were beating up Anu in NH10.So I wonder how much of the subtexts in Ranjhaana were properly conveyed to the vast diaspora of rural Indian middle class youth who contributed to the B.O as well
