If X and Y are siblings/ parents and kids/ wife and husband/ friends, you name it, and hear something shitty X did to Y behind his back, if X and Y stop talking or fight without even confirming with each other about the honesty behind their claims, they are idiots. And while anyone using this against them is wrong, it is them who made their short-comings so blatantly clear. When Arjun hit him when they left home before leap, Ayaan agreed what his mum did was wrong, all the garbage throwing and shit, but yet instead of telling his brother he agrees mum was wrong and we need to sit and clear it, he just allowed the fight to escalate. Parents teach kids, but if they are wrong, a kid has the right to call a time out. No one called out Vandana on that stupidity, making her feel what she did is right. Same with Maya, she keeps doing stuff like injecting him, and no one calls her on it, making her assume she is right.

And as for "trapping" anyone, they aren't animals who saw traps and walked in for food, they are smart educated family who never bothered to face each other without ego and clarify. And maybe I am too rude to think so, but if my mother-in-law threw garbage on me, I would probably tell my husband to choose between us. I am an educated independent girl and don't deserve that insult. Maya herself admitted that her plan was to live happily with Vandana and Ayaan. It is their own fault they fell into her trap for separating them. Did Ayaan even once try to confront Arjun why he threw those gifts? It took Saanjh and 3 years for him to say it! Ayaan didn't know about the cameras, he knew the office, but no effort. Last interaction Arjun had was the garbage scene, so obviously he won't bother!
