Maya is a psycho and has always been playing the victim card. She blamed her saas of assault (by jamming her own hand in the door), blamed Saanj of killing her child (by herself falling down), blamed Arjun of physical assault (by giving him that chain with a mic) and now blamed Ayan of rape.
She is not normal and yes, some women in real life do fake rape but they too are sick. It's sad that because of such women, real victims too are denied of justice.
