Oops! Chetan B makes Shraddha K Awkward abt her link up Rumours

If you have been following the latest happenings in Bollywood, you'll be well aware about Shraddha Kapoor's link up rumours with Farhan Akhtar. In fact, more recently there were even reports on how Farhan has got so possessive about Shraddha that he's also started having issues with any guy who comes close to Shraddha, including her ex Aditya Roy Kapur. That's a different thing that Farhan recently also posted a happy picture with Aditya, rubbishing any such differences. But imagine how due to all of this, Shraddha is being discussed for all the wrong reasons. Guess, that's exactly why Chetan Bhagat too couldn't hold himself back from quipping about Shraddha's rumoured' love life. It so happened that at the trailer launch of Half Girlfriend which was held this afternoon, a journalist quizzed Shraddha and her co-star Arjun Kapoor about their better halfs in real life. Arjun however managed to dodge the question by relating it to the film's concept and stating how we as a society our evolving in terms of dealing with relationships. But it was Shraddha who just couldn't get an easy escape thanks to Chetan Bhagat. Dunno if he had a slip of tongue or he deliberately wanted to put Shraddha in an awkward spot but as soon as the boyfriend question' directed towards Shraddha, Chetan passed on the mike to her saying, "Bolo Shraddha...Tumhara toh waise bhi bahut chal raha hai...matlab khabrein chal rahi hai". Can you believe it?

Everyone was amused by the fact Chetan Bhagat actually passed such a loose remark about Shraddha. In fact, Arjun even nodded his head helplessly, sympathising towards Shraddha's state of mind. But the actress maintained her calm and awkwardly replied, "Khabrein isliye chal rahi hai kyuki main Arjun ki half girlfriend hoon" Following which, Arjun had the best reply to shut up Chetan as he concluded, "I would like to consider if anyone of you all have an open job opportunity then Chetan would like to join up because jo sawaal koi nahi kar paaya vo Chetan ne kar diya"

The actor spilled the beans about how he wanted to make sure that the diction was right and in fact, he revealed that even when he messaged Shraddha, he wrote in the same lingo to ensure continuity. Shraddha's take on relationships


"Well, there are relationships in all our lives that you cannot name. Like in this film, I also believe there are relationships we have sometimes in life, where you have someone who is more than just a friend but not exactly a boyfriend... It's somewhere in the middle."

On live-in relationships


"I have seen many of my friends who do not want to fully commit in a relationship. At times do not want to settle down...as in, marry the person. On the other hand, the earlier generation " our parents " are becoming more accepting towards respecting our choice, even if it is a live-in relation, keeping our happiness in mind. I talk to my parents about it openly."

Will she sing in Half Girlfriend too?


"Nahi. I am not going to be singing in the film but maine is film mein basketball khela hai (I will be seen playing basketball in the film)."

Arjun thinks language is still a barrier in India


"In our country, no matter how intelligent you are, if your English is not fluent, people look down upon you. It is a shame. Knowing English is good, but why do we feel embarrassed to speak in our native language? Why do people start judging you based on that?"

Arjun Kapoor had a half girlfriend in real life too!

"I was with someone before and I thought I'll officially ask her out but on the same day we met at a party and she came in with a guy. I thought it would be her brother but she said meet him, he's my boyfriend, he just asked me out. She is now married and in England."
