Are you guys serious?

I usually like to get on IF to read all the interesting theories you guys have on where the show is going, so I don't generally comment or anything. However, the type of posts I've been seeing over the past couple of days makes me truly question what in the hell some of you think rape/ sexual assault is. It doesn't matter if Maya is a villain, heroine, anything: SEXUAL ASSAULT IS MORALLY WRONG AND A CRIME. Sure, what we are seeing on screen maaay be just an imaginative sequence that the CVs could be using to base Mays's accusations on, but literally within 20 seconds of Ayan biting Maya's neck, Samay and the inspectors arrived. Seeing all this, I honestly can't understand how some of you fail to understand that Ayan was in fact trying to sexually assault her. There is literally no reason for him to be doing that to her only to get the key, and we all know that. IF all this comes out to be a ploy by Maya, then yes, I will condemn it at that point. But the fact is that some of you are really taking the attacker's side and trying to come up with outrageous theories when all we actually know happened was shown to us as Ayan sexually assaulting maya. Especially considering the already despondent rape culture in India, it is truly disappointing to see some of you projecting such a mentality on even a fictional television show.

Sexual abuse is crime n misusing that law is bigger crime in my pov. No one is supporting ayan n his manhandling. But rape allegations are fake n manipulation.

Nowadays judges also know who tells the truth and who does not. There are definitions for rape, molestation, stalking etc.

And I agree with you that false rape allegations are equally wrong, but why is the mentality that the allegation is false before we even know what really happened? Based on the scenes we are shown maya seems truly shattered and it's sad that some people on here (and they don't even have to have sympathy on her per se yet) are already saying "oh this is definitely another one of her manipulations, she just wants to trap Ayan". I will also add that I am assuming that you are acquiescing with the claim that Ayan did manhandle her, but did not try to rape her, so I will also try to address that. Imagine your clothes are being torn by a man who is spewing things at you like "I will give you something worse than death" and starts biting your neck. When you report that, will you report it as manhandling because he only met the check marks for hitting you and didn't actually infiltrate you or will you report it as rape because why would a man do all that if not to rape you and what would have happened if no one intervened? I think if you honestly put yourself in that situation, "rape!" is the first thing any woman would shout out not "second degree man handling!" or anything of that sort.

For whatever reasons, if Ayan did tear her clothes of Maya, he is wrong acc to me. Any woman wud consider dt as sexual assault.

It was a scuffle between two persons. Why should we give sexual connotation to such a thing? Suppose if Saanjh and Maya were in scuffle and the cloth was torn accidentally due to scuffle?

Um...there is a very clear difference between a scuffle including the accidental tearing of clothes and Ayan purposely stripping her step by step while she is shouting NO. Also, what kind of scuffle have you seen that involves pinning someone down and trying to kiss their neck?

Let us wait for the case unfold. If Ayan is wrong, he will be punished.

See Ayaan is getting punished for rape or no rape. I mean isn't he in jail already and only miracle from Sanjh would make him win this case.

If ayaan wanted keys from maya then why did he tear her clothes, was all over her & his dialogues which were disgusting been said ?
