why doesn't he keep his mouth shut sometimes.It just shows how insecure and hurt he is cause he didn't win.he knows the same might happen in all other award ceremonies.LOSER!!!!

Sajid Khan: Juries should snub fellow director Aamir Khan

Summer hit HEYY BABYY director Sajid Khan spoke to BBC Asian Network's 'Love Bollywood' show about last weeks 14th Star Screen Awards and had some controversial comments on some of the winners.

Sajid Khan, who also hosted the awards ceremony, expressed his disappointment at losing out to Aamir Khan's TAARE ZAMEEN PAR when he spoke to 'Love Bollywood' presenters Raj & Pablo. Aamir Khan's directing debut TZP was nominated for 17 Star Screen Awards and won 7, including Best Director, Best Supporting Actor and Best Story.

Sajid said of directing rival Aamir,
'Aamir is a very good friend of mine. He is a star par excellence but when he gives a statement out in the press that he is not interested in awards, then I think the awards also should show no interest in him... You are giving out all the awards to TAARE ZAMEEN PAR, which, again see the point is, it deserves and I'm not saying it doesn't deserve... It's a fantastic film, but you know that there is going to be no-one coming to take it.'

Sajid drew on a comparison from Hollywood too. Marlon Brando said he didn't accept his Academy Award for THE GODFATHER and the Academy didn't ever nominate him again. He suggested that Indian Awards juries should consider the same course of action to directors who snub the awards honours.

He also questioned the concept of a Best Director award going to two directors jointly - it was shared by Shimit Amin for CHAK DE INDIA and Aamir Khan for TZP.

'Have you ever heard of a best director award going to two directors?!'

The outspoken film maker showed his concern for the Bollywood industry as a whole, highlighting the fact that only 3 actresses were nominated for the Best Actress Award, against 5 leading men in the Best Actor category.

'For the best actress category you had just three names Aishwarya Rai, Tabu and Kareena Kapoor. Rightly deserving because all three of them are fantastic and all three of them were very good in GURU, CHEENI KUM and JAB WE MET. But you can't ignore a Katrina Kaif for a NAMASTE LONDON or a Vidya Balan for a BHOOL BHULAIYAA. I was donning two roles that day. One was the role of an entertainer of a host like Billy Crystal, and that was one role in which I was doing my job professionally. The other role was that of a very concerned film industry member and a director who has made a blockbuster film in his first film.'

Aamir deserves the best director award for TZP!! I agree that Hey Baby was good...BUT TZP is a masterpiece! Sajid is a pretty col guy and he should understand...

These brother and sister combo should be Banned from the Bollywood.

Creativity is no where near them adn they try to touch the people who are creative enough.

The only thing piching in his butt is that HE DID NOT GET THE BEST DIORECTOR AWARD.

HE thinks that his movie made th emoney so he should be given all the awards....

And now he is trying to influence all the toher awards show by saying that they should not nominate TZP....HOW CHEAP AND LOW.

Only Aamir does not attend the award functions everyone else related to the movie usually does like last year most actors associated with RDB did come to collect the awards they were given. So I think its completely unfair on the 'team' to not to recieve the accolades or recieve the deserving praise in award functions just cuz the lead actor is not there, why should they suffer???? Its not as if Aamir prohibits all the crew not to attend award shows cuz he doesnt!!!! So I completely disagree with this guy! Aamir's own withdrawal should not become prejudice for others!

i completely agree wiz both of ur points , aamir has never prevent anyone from taking awards n also last year while the direstor of RDB took the award,he thanked aamir in his speech , zis means zat the directors n producers who worked wiz aamir does know the worth of aamir so how can he not be nominated after all he is more deserving for nominations ,aamir is sincerely dedicated to his career no matter wat ,his only fault is zat he never attend awards so wat harm he does in zat ,does he become a criminal ???? n y sud sajid be soooooooooooo jealous n insecure , does sajid hav any doubt on his own capabilities zat he is maligning aamir so much n aamir sud NEVER be ignored , it wil be VERY UNFAIR to such a talented person

It's a classic case of khatte angoor!!

TZP is far ahead of the all the regular run-in-the-mill ghissa-pitta entertainers dished out to the audience year after year after year.

And if Aamir does not go to award functions, then that's his preogative!

And if others' decide to follow his precedence, well then, that's theirs.

Please Sajid keep your feet in ur shoes dont compare vulgar hope less HB with TZP.

Ask him or atleast request him to go to one of the wards show and let these people who say about him eat their own words.
