I think both Michians and Neev fans have been crying hoarse for a Neesha track for quite some time. This is because we would like to see all the four actors (who are good in what they do) exhibit their full potential. Why should all K-serials be straight jacketed into one love story where there is always a thrid spoke in the wheel waiting to create problems. This third spoke is normally a sister of the hero (KS) or his mother (KA), his ex-girl friend (KAA) or his brother (KTH).
KYM is unique, in so far as there are two spokes in the wheel, one intentional (hero's ex-girl) and one unintentional (heroine's ex-guy). Since the two exs also happen to be married, why can they not be used more productively by exploring a love story between them? I am sure the sparks that fly between them would really engage the attention of the audience. Their story will be so different from that of Michi's so there is ample scope for exploring one's creativity.
As for Michi problems between couples need not stem from their exs. Extra-marital affairs, ONS, divorce and cross marraiges are not the only way to show drama in the lives of married couples. There are so many problems which the couple themselves may face, like compatibility, understanding, issues concerning kids, as and when they have them, etc., which can keep the interests of the viewers.
The creatives need to think out of the box rather than going by the standard formula of boy meets girl, both fall in love, unite and then seperate, only to be united and seperated for the next twenty years or may be even more. This unidimensional view about romantic soaps need to change if the interest in the serial needs to be kept alive.
