1 Dev's reaction after hearing how Jatin helped Sonakshi During delivery and later even helped her with Soha's upbringing too was appreciating ..He did feel bad but I could make out from his he felt that gratitude towards Jatin..He mght not show it in his words but his face showed also his hurt regarding how much and how many moments of Sonakshi's and Soha's life he missed..Thoigh his reaction next was completely opposite to what he felt few seconds back but I wasnt surprised..Sonakshi is the not the person in fromt of whome he will express anything very openly ATM..So he angrily went away feeling hurt inside

2 Saum You always give a new direction to my thinkng..I found your point of quite interesting and valid..Jatin can be provider support best friend fathr figure..But he is not FATHR to Soha and if he had filled that void in Soha's life , she would have never demanded Dev so thats very true even Me and Charu were discussing similar thing and now this makes sense to me..Charu if Jatin had filled the gap then she would have never shown any curiosity to know about her fathr..yes when she was old enough to understand what is " fathr" she saw Jatin around who on and off fulfilled duties of a fathr but still didn't fill that space..Also Saum mentioned very interesting point about how parents don't feel obliged towards each other when they do something for their kids unlike how Sonakshi feels towards Jatin

3 I see few of you are upset with Snakshi's behaviour but Coming to first scn her expressing tough times of past 7 years when Jatin supported her was not to taunt Dev or make him feel useless , honestly I didnt feel so..See she respects Jatin for what all he did and simply wanted Dev to know his role in Soha's life.. so that he acknowledge it and understand that Jatin is no harm but a well wisher of Soha, and Dev too realised it thats why he instantly calmed down,Though with Sonakshi's avatar these days,it probably looked like she wanted to hurt him deliberately but I personally didnt feel so..Infact I an happy Sonakshi did talk about her tough days as in day before yesterday's epi Dev didn't want to know what Sonakshi faced in 7 years and unknowingly he came to know that which has now softened him towards her and will surely help him know her better and also Sonakshi somewhere will feel light as well after letting him know the part of past which he should know deserves to know

4 Dev's absolute heartwarming gesture for Soha and family oh melted me,This guy is one mental case lol..His efforts were simply commendable,aww,though today ai felt he should stop trying so hard and take it easy, its very sweet of him to put so much effort but for the time being he needs to calm down a bit, I dont know why I exactly felt so, may be because they are not appreciated enough in the end, so i just want him to slow down and step back a little

5 I can sense where Bijoy is heading to Sonakshi Jayin alliance talks are surely gonna come up very soon Bijoy's insecurities are increasing are double speed now also Shavi I can see you prediction coming true lol woah today while watching

6 Lastly Like Saum said that I am going on trip sequence of Jatin looked fishy to me as well..didn't go down well with me as well, He knew boses will not let him go so why he even came to say bye ..His reasons were absolutely on point but if he thinks he is coming between Dev and Doha then he should help them bond instead of gong away stay here and stay away..He can maintain distance like this as well..I dont want to doubt his intentions but it disturbed me and didnt look very convincing as well

One little wish which I have is ..Is it possible to show Dev Sonakshi remembering their own marriage moments during Saurabh Ronita's ?? I expected during sangeet but it didnt happen I wish to see them now in haldi and wedding too so keeping fingers toes crossed

Just few points to bring across..

Today I see progress...I see a Dev trying his best to blend in.. to be a part of the family! It surprises me to see how happy he is doing favors for a Ronita..because she's family! It's amazing how she addresses him as jeeju..that's the Dev we've always known always there to help and cares for his loved ones! Deep down Dev is so connected to them

I even saw Dev being civil to Sonakshi... I mean making tea is pretty special and even by protecting her from her fathers outburst because of Elena..that's something to mark

In fact Sonakshi impressed me she was ok that Jatin wanted to leave.

But couldn't understand why he didn't push back to the Boses...

Do you see Jatin with Elena in the future?

PS: Best expression was of Golu when EGKB was badmouthing Dev

and the scene when Dev says Elena

is invited as my friend ...

Wanted to highlight a few things from the episode that caught my attention..

1. Vicky.. Bijoy Bose again chose to believe Vicky. It was quite hurtful the way he was taking his anger out on Dev. I wonder what his reaction is going to be when he realises that Ronita's mom was the one who stole the jewellery and Dev took on the blame. I don't have much expectation from him but I think he is going over the top here. Ishwari was sneaky with Sona and Bijoy is being loud. The amazing parallel is that Dev never stood up for Sona and off late we hardly see Sona taking a stand for Dev. What does this say?

2. Jatin- the father figure.. This scene where Sona explained about Jatin's role was very hurtful. Dev was quite right, Sona has turned into the old Dev Dixit who was so stuck in his world of black and white that he was rude and unforgiving until he fell for Sona. Sonakshi could have very well sat Dev down and given a more emotional story, on the other hand she went on an accusatory tone. Was it Dev's fault that he did not hold Soha as a baby, that he did not help her take her first steps? The way Sona explained seemed like Dev knew about a child but was not present for her all these years. I agree Sona was insulted by Dev and family but he was hurting as well. It was her moral responsibility to at least let him know about the child. And if Jatin (with all his money) was around and Bijoy Bose was aware of the prenup where all the child's rights were with the mother, then what stopped Sona from at least informing Dev. She would have won the custody battle in any case if there was one. I think she was waiting to give an answer to all of Dev's hurtful words.. that she can also be successful, that she is a good mother and that is when she felt that she wanted to face Dev again. A lot of the words from Dev were in a drunken state, that Sona took them so seriously and moulded her life around that is painful to watch.

3. Dev's reaction.. This is something that I was confused about. Dev seemed very hurt at first after Sona's words, but soon put on a mask? saying his house, his rules. I think he is thankful for Jatin being there but this has only intensified his insecurity that if Jatin marries Sona, then Soha may quickly switch to having two dads and that is going to cut down Dev's time with her substantially. After all of this, Dev making tea for Sona and also protecting her regarding Elena was a subtle insight to the fact that he did feel bad for her in some corner of his heart and knew that he brought in on by failing as a husband.

4. Jatin..the friend.. Why did Bijoy and Asha stop Jatin from going? I understand that he was trying to make way for Dev to bond with Soha. I would think at least Asha would appreciate that. What did they mean by Sona needs him. I am very worried about this emotional connect that Sona and Jatin have precisely because that is something that Dev and Sona struggle with. Sona and Dev both like to hide their true feelings from each other until there is a fight/outburst where everything that they are feeling comes out all wrong!

5. Golu.. I do want to talk about Golu and want him to be part of Dev's realisation. I am afraid of what Golu is going through with Soha around. Dev, as we know is not good at balancing relationships very well. I really hope Golu does not feel neglected. That poor kid has literally no one other than his BigCha in his life to care about him. He is shown to be very sensible but children are also sensitive, so its high time Dev keeps reinforcing that Golu is equally important to him.

6. Elena and Jatin.. this seems like a major possibility to me. With Elena coming out of her shell slowly, its only a matter of time before she divorces Vicky. I think Jatin will make a great step dad to Golu. Imagine how amazing that would be.. Dev who is a father figure to Jatin's kid and Jatin who is a father figure to Dev's Soha 😆 They can all go for a summer camp together then!

PS: Seeing the rumours doing the rounds again about the show shutting down and all the negativity surrounding it. I only have one thing to say, if people have a major issue with the show, then there is IPL to watch, but if you are watching the show, give the makers some credit. There is a story to be told and its just unjust to judge a book by a page (here an episode). We can all talk about how bad/good the show was once the story is fully told.. as of now, enjoy the acting, the dynamics, analyse the characters and if possible stop spreading negativity around.. there is too much in the world in any case!

Hats off to all the amazing writers in this thread. It was a pleasure to read all the different perspectives. 👏

Going by the episodes this season, I am more in love with KRPKAB. Season 2 episodes are way better than season 1 episodes 😃. I am really enjoying the way they are presenting the different colors and layers of life and relationships.

The first time Sonakshi is introduced to Dev, it is in Dr. Sinha's office. When Dev sees her he tells Dr. Sinha that he doesn't want Sonakshi "advicing" his mom. Sonakshi retorts by saying if I am not "advicing", then who is, you?. She also says that no one would have taken "advice" from him. Coming to Monday's episode, it was shown that Asha took Dev's "advice" and agreed to not disclose the truth. This came as the first shock to Sonakshi. But when she confronted Asha regarding it, she received the second shock. Asha took away the power of decision making from Sonakshi for the first time(as shown in the series). Till date any decision made by Sonakshi was considered as to be the "right" one for the whole family and Asha took that away.

This was something that Sonakshi could not understand as to how Asha could accept Dev's "advice" that too on relationships when she has always said that he doesn't know how to handle relationships. Before she could calm herself down, came the next shock where Dev saw through her and told her that she was Dev 1.0 (thanks Sam). All these combined anger was waiting to be erupted and it got its venue when Bijoy taunted Dev and he reacted.

Asha who is a great observer saw all this. She also realized that the reason for breakup between Dev and Sonakshi is not as Sonakshi painted it to be. She saw how much Sonakshi herself was responsible for what happened 7 years ago and also saw Bijoy reflected completely in Sonakshi. Hence she first talked to Sonakshi by herself so that she could get BD to take a backseat so that SM can come forward. She knew that SM is the only rational personality that has the echo of old Sona. BD taking backseat was very very temporary. Especially since Saurabh and Ronita who are supposed to be angry at Dev are being very very friendly with him. She is unable to accept that her perception towards Dev and his inabilities are not completely right.

As Sam mentioned this anger festering in her is looking for an outlet. But due to Asha's counseling, she is trying to not only put a lid on it, but attempting to make Dev jealous so that the onus of starting a fight falls on him. When she told about the time when Jatin was with her, SM wanted Dev to know her struggles and how she missed SD, but BD wanted to give Dev a reason for jealousy. To show him what he missed by not being with her, by rejecting her(this is her perspective. Not intended to hurt anyone)

This also explains why she decided to come to Delhi and reveal Soha to Dev. In Shimla, during their fight she tells Dev that he shouldn't have married her to become "mahaan". She thought that him marrying her inspite of knowing about her infertility, he was trying to be "mahaan". But it was not how Dev felt. He didn't feel he was doing something great by hiding the facts regarding her ability to conceive. For him, he loved her and nothing else was as important as her. When he did not let her go, but claimed her as his own, she felt that maybe she had misunderstood and that he genuinely wanted her. Not to be great or anything. But then slapgate happened which made her feel that she was right. Dev was trying to be great and did all that as he wanted her to be indebted to him. To show that Dixits were better than Boses.

I am just presenting my pov. Not intended to hurt anybody's feelings. I like all characters and am analyzing based on how I see them, their interactions and behavior. I am sorry in advance if I hurt anyone and it is unintentional. 😃

Since her breakup with Dev in that farmhouse, she has wanted to tell him that her family is better than his, that she is better than him and is looking for Dev to confirm that. But she is finding it very hard to do so given Dev"s unpredictability. That is the reason she keeps telling that he is predictable and cannot surprise her. She is repeating it to herself.

By revealing Soha to Dev and saying she wants him in her life, she is trying to say that she is better than him. That Boses are superior and follow the morals and have high values. It is true that SM genuinely wants SD to be part of Soha's life. But BD wants that accolade and gratitude from IS. Sonakshi's all reactions are directed towards this only.

As to future story, Bijoy's stress level has been increasing rapidly ever since Dev came to stay at Bose house. Since then it has only elevated. Vickky's instigation has also added more fuel especially combined with his family respecting Dev when he has proved to them how wrong he is(the theft and that he i is trying to ruin their happiness). He has started to feel that Dev is trying to take his family away from him and they wouldn't consider him wort anything(very similar to Ishwari's insecurities 😆 😛 ).

If Ishwari in her stress overdosed of sleeping pills, Bijoy is on his way to some other stress related issue which most probably will land him in hospital. My guess is this is what will trigger serious talks regarding Sonakshi and Jatins wedding and even Soha accepting it.

The future story as I have outlined is just my guesswork. It may happen this way or it may not. 😊 . What we are seeing of Sonakshi and Bijoy is a trailer for what is to come. 😃

@bold.. this looks like a reasonable and scary assumption.. This will really get things out of control.. Just imagine Ishwari maata coming back from her trip and realising that Soha will not be coming home.. Ishu will faint and land up in the same room as Bijoy in the hospital, both of them can then do emotional blackmail and plot something together 🤣

Thank you for writing the above 2 paragraphs Shaavi. They gave me a perfect way to explain my thoughts on sonakshi yesterday.
Before I start, of course I'd like to say, I am analysing the character and not defending them.

Like Shaavi said, after Asha spoke to Dev and Sonakshi, they both calmed down. Dev continued to thwart the IS in him and kept SD on the forefront. Sonakshi however struggled. She wanted to explain to Dev why Soha is close to Jatin. However, she ended up explaining How soha got close to Jatin. Her intention really wasn't to calm down Dev or to put his jealousy at rest. However, it also wasn't to rub salt on his wounds. She knows it's not Dev's fault he wasn't there. It came out like that. But that isn't what SM wanted to say. BD took over. And said those nasty things to Dev.

The summary of the conversation was that, that spot was empty and Jatin has been backfilling it for years. That is why he is such an integral part of our family and Suhana's life.

I think Dev got it. His initial retort was that of anger. But eventually he understood that the last 7 years are water under the bridge. And SD didn't let IS take over. He ended up doing what Jatin wanted Sona to do. Dev did not give Sona as harsh a reaction as she was wanting/hoping.

Been a long time since I wrote anything at all. But have been following this thread religiously. Kudos to all the wonderful writers. I agree with some and I don't agree with some but that is ok. Each to his or her own and no bashing or thrashing. Love this safe place. I totally did not like Sonakshi's tone when she spoke about Jatin's importance. Not negating her pain but the tone left a lot to be desired. Was totally amazed at Dev and the fraction of his remorse/guilt that we got to see but then the mask came back on. Bijoy is getting on my nerves. I'm sure he must be suffering from actual physical pain with all this shouting and screeching. Don't know what the future holds for Devakshi - at present I only see bleakness as both are unwillwing to talk rationally without jumping on each other's throats. Dreading their sojourn at IN. Somehow I have an eerie unsettling feeling that Sona and Jatin's marriage talks will proceed with full enthusiasm - just like Shaavi and many others feel. I too don't think that Dev will do deewangi part 2 (though I have a feeling Sona might be taking glances at the door just like she did during her ill-fated engagement to Rithwick and hoping that Dev will rescue her and she can somehow again claim her innocence in it) I know this scenario is way far fetched but just bouncing weird ideas 😕 .

P.S : One moment I think Jatin is a good friend and the next instance I think he wants to be more than a friend to Sona. Him trying to exit the Bose house was a tad dramatic and it felt to me like he wanted to be stopped. . Also the way he told Sona that Dev asked him to leave - in no way was Dev rude in fact he was polite when he asked Jatin to leave. Almost felt like he wanted to instigate Sona - oh yes he used all the right words to calm her down but yes, just like Charu?(cscs) he gives me the heebie jeebies 😕

If Soha is unable to stay without Jatin or if she is really close then how come she was ready to go to Kolkatta leaving him for someone she met few days back ?While leaving she did not even think of informing Jatin or did not ask Sona to tell him a bye .All she did was ask for her Papa .If Jatin is really her father kind then what about the story she narrated in the school and why was she sad when Golu asked her about her family .Is it me who is unable to understand Soha Jatin bonding.

For Jatin she may be like his child and for Sona Jatin might be a father figure to Soha but I am doubtful about Soha .

Another thing that bothers me is Does Dev require Sonakshi's permission to be part of Soha's life ?He needs her help to gel with his daughter and to gain his trust but does he need her permission.I guess co operation between Devakshi is much needed in My opnion

Agree with you Nitu. Makers failed in showing Jatin and Soha's bond with clarity and consistency. All their scenes look forced and artificial. Soha who proved her maturity in thought and her immense love and trust for her father at the time of theft is shown yesterday as indifferent and Careless towards Dev's presence. How could it be? I expected her to atleast taste what Dev cooked for her. Somehow I can't relate to that scene.

To the question you asked Did Dev need Sona's permission my answer is a clear no. He doesn't need since he has equal right as Soha's father. Only thing Dev wants from Sona is to create the ambience and atmosphere for him and Soha to spend time with each other without getting interrupted by her friend ,guide and philosopher,saintly Jatin. As much as I try I am unable to suppress my irritation towards Jatin who speaks like an intellectual but fails to implement what he says. With him in the scene Dev may lose his cool anytime,I fear.

I am still confused about Jatin's intention and I cannot bring myself to dislike him yet. I think he still wants Sonakshi which I can understand and sometimes he plays small games like asking Sona to ignore Dev and hijacking Soha's time or leaving home drama .I have no expectations from him so I dt get disappointed because of his actions .Infact I feel he understands the situation better than most of the Bose family members .

I am disappointed more because of Sonakshi's behavior .I cannot relate to her arrogance and what irks me the most is I am perfect, my family is perfect and my dad is perfect .I expected her to be nice to Dev after knowing what he did for Saurabh but all I see is attitude .I am unable to express but these days I can sense the pride ,arrogance and over confidence in her body language.It may be because of my personal experience where I have stayed with such a person who believes they can never be wrong n they get offended easily .You have to be very careful with words n sometimes it's impossible to show them the mirror .

There is a saying in my mother tongue "durada beta nungiye " somewhat like familiarity breeds contempt.While Devakshi were staying with Dixit we assumed Bose family is more mature ,understanding but as we closer to Bose family I realize there is not much difference between two families.I Agree how come no one in Bose family asked Soha to taste the dish prepared by Dev .

The show has become a headache and should actually end. The story is going on and on in circles with absolutely no growth in characters. This week it is bijoy screeching next week it will be Ishwari's emotional blackmail.

The leads are looking and behaving idiotic. At this rate, I seriously wish that Sona marry Jatin and Dev and Sona aim for shared custody of Soha. At least spare the child from the torture. Any child will be psychologically scarred living in such conditions
