Aditya is in the car talking on the phone and saying how he cannot come back home and how he has to prove his mettle first. Kashinath in another car is travelling somewhere and coincidentally his car is next to Aditya's. He sees him and gets out of the car, raging with anger. He pulls open Aditya's cars door and pulls Aditya out by the collar. He tells Aditya that he never thought his son could be a coward who was running away like this.
Aditya speaks up and says he is not to be blamed alone since it is because of Kashinath's ways that he is what he is today. He says that as a father he never tried to know what was in his son's heart and just expected so much from him that as a person Aditya did not have any individuality. He tells Kashinath that he wanted to say things so many times but never did because of the fear of hurting his father. He says that he wanted to settle in US but came back only because of his father. Aditya then goes on to say that Kashinath had in a way suppressed his entire family and that in the process of expecting so much out of him as the rare gold he made his son do all this so that is why Kashinath is equally at fault.
Kashinath slaps Aditya and says this is the first time I have slapped you, this is to show you that things are never easy and you never gets things without risk and hurt. He makes Aditya get into his car and takes him to the police station. He makes Aditya surrender and says that he should be treated like any other person who has gone against law. Aditya while going in, handcuffed, says three cheers to Dattaji. When he goes in the people in the lock ups recognize him and talk about him.
At home Nirbhay watches the news and asks his mother what Aditya and Kashinath are doing at the station. He runs down and tells Sharda this who runs up to see the news. Everyone has assembled there to see it. After seeing it she takes the phone and calls Kashinath up and talks to him.
She tells him to have pity of her and her children. She tells him that Saniya owned up and she got a second chance, why can't Aditya get the same. He says Aditya had time to own up but he didn't. He says that he is the man responsible for his friend's misfortune and hence must be punished by law. Sharda says that she will get him bail, Kashinath tells her not to because then he will become a joke and his truth and judgment will never be taken seriously.
Sharda asks her children about this and Shakti obviously doesn't say anything but Shankar tells his mother that this is the first time he agrees with his father and the Dattaji of Banaras. Aditya deserves to be behind bars. Sharda says that Shankar has suddenly got knowledge about right and wrong but somehow Aditya didn't have it when he saved Shankar.
She leaves and goes to Jagat and says that Aditya should be forgiven, given a second chance. He says that my daughter did not get it. Sharda goes on and Jagat says today she has proved Abha meant nothing. She says that is not true, I had a relationship of the heart with her. She warns him about the company he is keeping and leaves.
Banu is upto his usual tactics. He gets Aditya bail and Aditya comes out and asks him what his plan is and that he is not going to fall for it. Banu speaks ill of Kashinath and when Aditya doesn't believe any of it he shows news clipping which has Kashinath saying that for him Aditya died the day Abha did.
