Baji-Kasi OS- The Raging Love
She was on her mission to do wholesome entertainment of the crowd gathered on the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa and he was on his mission to unmask the Mughal spy Rukmini/Ruqaiyya.Their paths crossed and the nupurs of the anklets scattered on the ground.Though he was the one who had shown disinterestedness in affairs of love and marriage when his best friend Gotiya had expressed his longing desire of getting married to the mithaiwala's daughter and now he was on a mission to save his motherland and the Ajinkya fort from attacking enemy ,he still felt for the pain of the dancing girl who was dancing carefree.
The rage in her eyes matched the rage in his eyes.Yes .Both were 'hatti marathis''.But little did they knew that the khajur' and tulsi' would be bonded in a bond of one.'She gave her a kick for disrupting the dance but he didn't challenge nor he was angry.He was not the challenging Baji Ballal Bhatt there but a protector Baji who would jump in fire for three people-His mother,motherland and sister.But he felt a sense of protectiveness course through his veins when he saw the nupurs scattered all around.He was till now a raging warrior,an ideal son of motherland and savior of his family and friends but now he is protector of an unknown Marathi girl who doesnot giggle but kicks and not only kicks but saves life.
The fire was all around.Baji had to save his family,Tararani and Raze but he made her his first priority.No sweet exchanges were there.If he was the sword then she was the shield.No fire could stop them from running to safety.He could not risk her life or he could not afford to lose her.Relationships are not always crashing and flowers falling nor the breeze blowing .He was different so was his love.They met when danger was looming over their lives and bonded when fire was ready to engulf their lives.
Within the struggles of a warrior to bring swaraj to his people and motherland ,somewhere there is a a place in the heart which went away for the non-giggling girl.He loves meeting eyes and open challenges.And here Mahadev has sent for him a counterpart who can give him open challenges in wisdom and wit.
