You know the drill. Here's the thread for today. If you refresh occasionally like you do for written update, you might be able to read as I update. I will start updating as the episode gets uploaded. You guys can continue your discussion. I will update as I go and change the title with EDITED when completed!!!
Jatin tells Sonakshi that he can understand why she fell in love with Dev. Sonakshi is surprised to hear that.
EPISODE:
The episode starts with Bose family taking family picture. Soha asks them to wait for her mother.
Bijoy says that they will take picture with her mother. But until she comes, they can take pictures.
Everyone poses for picture when Sona comes down.
Bijoy stops the photographer and tells him to wait for Sona.
Sona comes there and Bijoy asks her where she was. Sonakshi smiles awkwardly but doesn't respond.
Soha asks for her dad. Bijoy says that his father will take time. Until he comes, Bijoy wants the photographer to take the picture since his entire family is there.
Just then Dev comes down in dhoti kurta.
The guest (the same one from yesterday who just has to open his mouth with running commentary without knowing the situation) says that now the complete family picture will be taken.
Bijoy gets sad.
Soha tells him that she was waiting for him.
Dev says her sorry and says that it took him time to tie the dhoti.
Soha says that he is looking Bengali papa. She wishes he was Bose too. (Me: Me too child, me too. May be then he would have learned some manners)
Dev says that and he wishes Soha was Dixit.
Me: Trust me, bro. Your mother is there to brainwash her. But just a quick question. Could you please tell me what good qualities you'd want Soha to learn from Dixit family ladies? Backstabbing? Manipulating? Insecurity? Passing on blame to others for their faults? No really. I am curious...
Anyways, please note, Bijoy didn't include Jatin in this picture either. He may consider Jatin like family member. But when he said family picture, he meant just that. Family. So Dev should stay out.
Anyways, Bijoy says that who invited him. This is a Bose family picture.
Dev says okay then he will take picture later with Suhana. He tries to take Suhana.
Me: Bhaiya, I think you didn't hear. Just because you are no longer part of Bose family, doesn't mean Suhana is not part of Bose family either. But the strategy is great. I am so glad you are showing everyone what Sonakshi should have done when your mother didn't want Sonakshi in family picture. She should have hold your hand and drag you away. After all, if Suhana and you are package deal, then Sonakshi and you should have been package deal too. No?
Anyways, Bijoy doesn't let him take Suhana. Dev stands there and the photographer asks him to come closer to Sonakshi and put his arm around him.
Dev doesn't do it.
Payal says that if Dev is feeling shy, should she come there?
Me: Okay, time please. Whose Sangeet is it? Since when the photographers totally ignore the main couple and focus on the other people? And how would Dev not putting his arm around Sonakshi can be fixed by Payal? Would she put arms around Sonakshi instead? I swear interfering people gets on my nerve every damn time.
Anyways, Sonakshi takes his hand and puts on her shoulder.
The photographer clicks picture.
She shrugs his hand off.
Me: I'd like to mention something here. Some of you might be wondering why I named the title of my post as Casualties of Games. Because Dev and Sonakshi are players. Sonakshi didn't used to be a player but that's exactly what she has turned into.
They each are playing games with each other and the people they love. The result is hatred continuously increasing in two families both thinking that their child is in an unwanted situation because of the other.
Dixits might deserve it for betraying Dev. But Bose family always stood by Sonakshi. So they don't deserve it specially Bijoy.
Last time Sonakshi played a game, Ritwik and his family got hurt as well as her own family. This time she is repeating the same game.
The result is that Bijoy's guests are thinking that they got back together. If tomorrow Soha decides after experiencing Dixits that she no longer wants her parents together, Dev will happily go back to his happy life with Soha. But then Bijoy and Asha will again have to answer all these people what happened again between Dev and Sona.
Not to mention Saurabh and Ronita will have to see Dev's face in their wedding album for the rest of their life.
Sonakshi, daughters like you deserve family like Dixits. Not Boses. Shame on you.
If Dev used you in season one, you are using your family in season two.
Anyways, photograph done and everyone walks off. Bijoy mutters that Dev always comes at wrong time. Then he looks back and mutters who taught him how to tie a dhoti.
Dev looks at Bijoy and calls him, Budo (Means Budhha).
Sonakshi looks at him angrily and says that whatever she did, she did it for her family. Not to get any wrong ideas.
Dev says that whatever happened she did it herself and now putting the blame on him like always. Why doesn't she admit that she liked having his arm around her?
Me: Correct. Dev is right. Sonakshi, this time you played games. And with everyone you love or claim not to love. Either be honest yourself or live in delusion, no one cares. But don't drag others into your sick games.
Sonakshi says that she likes Doi Maach too. But he is like the bones of the fish.
Dev says to be careful. This bone might get stuck.
They look at each other angrily while romantic tung tung plays in the background.
Sonakshi walks away.
Me: I hate these two. Where is Jatin Bhaiya?
Dev looks up and sees Saurabh and Ronita. Ronita excuses herself and walks away. Saurabh gets sad.
Dev asks him, Saurabh babu, ki hola (For non-Bongs, Ki holo means, what happened or sometimes, what's up)
Saurabh smiles and says, It's holo, not hola.
Dev says, Yes, that's what he was saying. He asks again.
Saurabh says that he is trying to do his setting. But Ronita feels shy in front of guests. He asked her to say I love you in front of everyone. But she is refusing.
Dev says that this is the problem with girls. They want to romance, but doesn't want to romance too. They want boys to do everything. But he will definitely put North Indian tadka in Bengali wedding. Romance will happen on its own. Just wait and watch.
Saurabh smiles and says sure?
Dev nods.
Saurabh smiles and says then it will be fun. Thank you.
They slap hands.
Dev calls someone and invites two people who is needed to energise the boring Sangeet.
Whoever he calls, they agree to come.
Dev gets the mike and says that this is no Sangeet where only one song is being played. Let's energise the Sangeet.
Bijoy says that this is Bengali function and only Bengali music will play. There won't be any noise and chaos.
Bijoy asks him to come down.
Me: I think Bijoy forgot that Bengalis don't have Sangeet to start with. So what Bengali function? And in Saurabh's Aashirwad, they had Tune Maari Entriyan. Since when that is Bengali song? And funny, Asha who stops Bijoy's bs everytime, didn't point out anything logical.
But the same interfering guests asks him to listen what he has to say.
Bijoy steps back.
Dev continues to introduce Jaat and Jugni - a new show. That show leads enter.
The new show people dance at the show title song.
Everyone claps
Then the couple promote show along with lecture on being together despite fights and leave.
Me: Humm... Should I switch shows? The heroine doesn't look like a doormat and the hero doesn't look like Mamma's boy.
Anyways, Dev invites Ronita's parents on stage.
In the meanwhile, Ronita's mother packs Ronita's jewellery in a bag and stowing it somewhere in a room and giving an evil smile.
Me: Dekho Boses ki kismat. Jis ghar mein hi bachhe ki shaadi karte hain, koi na koi kameene present hoti hi hain. Inka to bad luck hi kharab hain.
Dev calls Ronita's dad on stage. He dances. But Ronita's mother sneaks out.
She takes a bag and drops it in a room.
Dev then calls both side of parents on stage. But Ronita's mother is missing.
So he asks Saurabh's parents and Ronita's dad to dance and goes looking for Ronita's mother.
He finds Ronita's mother in a room. She gets flustered and says that she was looking for washroom.
Dev asks her to come down. But she leaves in hurry. Dev gets suspicious.
Me: CVs and their recycled scripts. Do you recall when Sonakshi caught Radha stealing?
Then Dev calls Saurabh and Ronita. But he says that there is a twist. Ronita has to say what's in her heart in front of everyone.
Ronita pleads at Saurabh that she can't do it.
Dev says that there is nothing to be scared of. When someone is in love, they don't need to be scared
Me: Aapke to bhaiya mummy ke saamne tote udd gaye the.
He says that people who are in love, can't loose.
Me: Yet you lost the love of your life. TWICE.
Dev continues and says that Ronita should confess your love when you feel it - be it in public or in front of everyone.
Me: Good advice, Bhaiya. Please remind me, when you confessed your love in public to Sonakshi? Aapki to saari romance bedroom mein hoti thi naa. Arre public chodo. Mummy ke saamne bhi aapke tote udd jaate the. To aap naa apna lecture rehne do.
Dev asks Saurabh, Didn't he say right?
Saurabh says Yes. But Ronita won't understand. Why doesn't he demonstrate?
Dev says that sure. It is not at all difficult to say what's in your heart. He is speaking from experience. What you say isn't important. But for whom you are saying is important.
Me: Correct. Like when you said that Sonakshi can't be a good mother, she is a bad wife, she broke your family is not important. But to whom you said it was important. You said it to the woman you supposedly loved like a man loves a woman.
Sonakshi is standing beside Jatin and listening.
Dev is still looking at Ronita.

Me *Excitedly raises hand*: I know who you are talking about, bhaiya. Aapki pujaniya Maataji... After all sirf unhi ke liye aapka pyaar kabhi kam nehin hota.
Dev says how he can explain how much he loves her. For him, she is like a perfect parking spot in Rajiv Chawk, like a free wi-fi in no network area, she is like a cool spot in hot month of June, she is like 8 hours of peaceful sleep after a hard working day. He may not ever express what she is to him. He just can feel it.
Me: Such emotional dialogue. *Clapping* Arre koi Maataji ko iska video footage bhejo. Kitna khush ho jayegi ki beta usko kitna pyaar karta hain. *Wipes tears*... Jaise Bhaiya ke birthday mein Maiya ne speech di thi, bilkul waisi wali speech.
Dev then looks at Sona and starts walking. Then he stops in front of her and wind blows their hair in closed room. Lekin logic ka kya hain.
Sonakshi takes Soha and puts her forward. Dev smiles and gets down on his knees in front of Soha.
He says I love you Suhana.
Soha says I love you too papa.
Me: Hain, Mummy nehin? Achcha. Mummy yahan nehin hain naa. To Suhana hi sahi. Bahut jaldi Maataji Suhana ko bhi apne jaisa banane wali hain.
Bijoy says kitna nautanki karta hain yeh aadmi...
Me: Bijoy babu, hi-five. Maine naa Bhaiya ki birthday pe Maataji ki bhashan pe bhi yehi socha tha. Kitna nautanki karti hain, yeh aurat...
Hum dono ke khayal kitne milte hain nehin? 😳
Dev hugs Suhana and then says to Ronita, See, how easy it was to confess love? That's why he is saying you should not keep what's in your heart for too long. You should say it.
Dev cues in music.
Ronita confesses her love to Saurabh with music.
Everyone claps.
Dev calls everyone in the dance floor until the next performer comes.
Sonakshi's earring gets loose. She tries to fix it. Jatin went somewhere. But he comes now.
Me *sits up straight*: Ab aayega mazaa *Gulps pepsi*
Jatin says aami tomake bhalobashi (I love you).
Sonakshi says aami tomake thappad maarbo (I will slap you). She asks now he got time. Where was he?
Jatin says why? He came at the right time. Until heroine doesn't get into problem, heroes entry is useless.
He offers to fix Sona's earrings.
Me: Bilkul sahi bola, Jatin Bhaiya... Koi mere behalf pe city maaro. Hero is one who helps heroine. Not the one who gets her into trouble to APPEAR hero by rescuing her. See the difference? Par kya kare? Hamare jaise hero, waisi heroine.
Bhaiya, aap to idhar dekho. Hum aapki setting karwate hain. Lekin Payal se nehin. Bahut bolti hain logon ke beech mein.
Dev sees Jatin fixing Sona's earrings. Sona looks up and sees him looking at Jatin fixing Sona's earrings.
Dev says that he is impressed. He didn't know that even Bengalis can be so fun.
Me: I know, right? Even I am impressed. I didn't know you have enough intelligence to keep your foot out of your mouth for more than a few minutes. The way your IQ drops in front of your family, I'd have thought you'd need special assistance to get around. But look. You can breathe and talk all at the same time. Multitasking... Wow... 👏
Jatin tells Sonakshi that he can understand why she fell in love with Dev. Sonakshi is surprised to hear that.
Me: Me too... Jatin Bhaiya, uski kaun si quality aapko impressive lagi? Humme bhi dikha do. Magnifying glass lau?
Jatin says that he is mad, super rude. But his heart is clear.
Me: True. Until he sees Mummy dear. Tab to dimaag ka badal dil pe bhi road block kar deta hain...
Dev is still looking at them talking.
Jatin thumps his heart. He says that his heart is in the right place, Sona.
Sonakshi says that everyone's heart is in the same place. But his madness is everywhere. That's why it's impossible to live with him.
Me: Allow me to explain. The thing is Jatin Bhaiya, Dev Bhaiya ki heart kabhi ek place pe nehin hota. Yeh business card ki tarah isko hand over karte rehte hain. Here heart matlab control of his mind.

Pehle Mummy thi hukum ka ikka. If mummy is present, she gets to hold the heart at all time without mind being utilised.
When mummy is not near and pre-Soha period, Sonakshi was the queen of hearts. She was not the powerful card. Because jokers were present.
But she got hold of his heart occasionally.
Now Soha is the new hukum ka ikka and Mummy is joker. So she gets the heart even over Mummy. But in her absence, Mummy takes over her hukum ka ikka position.
Hence, it's not only difficult, but impossible to live with him.
Jatin says, he doesn't know.
Sonakshi says, he still doesn't know? Don't worry. He will find out soon.
Then she smiles at him and Jatin keeps looking at her as if trying to read her mind.
He smiles softly and asks if she really hates Dev that much.
Sonakshi says that she doesn't feel anything for him.
Me: Yo, Bhaiyaji. Gone case hain, Sonakshi aunty. Jaane do. Woh bolti kuch hain, karti kuch hain. Sab ko pappu bana rahee hain. Inn dono ko inke dimaag ka dahi ghotne do. Aap chill maro. Tension sirf dene ka. Lene ka nehin.
Jatin looks at Dev and smiles. Dev is still glaring at them. Sonakshi leaves from there.
She is in the kitchen drinking water.
Bhaiya comes there and first comment out of his mouth, I am not stupid.
Me: Chor ke daari mein tinka...
Sonakshi says that at least he read her mind, even if it's after 7 years.
Dev asks: What is she saying? He is watching everything.
Sonakshi says that she is not understanding what he is saying.
Dev says that she should not pretend what he is trying to say. She is understanding everything.
Sonakshi says he must have assumed something and came there to talk bs. That's his old habit.
Dev says that he didn't assume anything. Whatever is happening, is happening in front of his eyes.
Sonakshi tells him to say what he wants to say clearly and if he can't say it, then he can leave.
Dev says that he is seeing between Jatin and Sona...
Sonakshi looks at him angrily and he shuts up.
He says that she can do whatever she wants. He is not going to say anything.
Sonakshi looks at him confused.
He storms off the kitchen when he bumps into Jatin.
Jatin extends his hand and says politely, Sorry bro.
Dev shrugs his hand off and says that he is not his bro nor he is sorry. But he will feel sorry soon.
He walks off.
Me: Bhaiya, aapne cauliflower nehin diya... Dekha. Phir se promise nehin rakhha naa aapne. Aur Jatin Bhaiya kyun sorry feel karega? Aapki liability unki thodi hain... Sonakshi aur aap to ek dam ek doosre ke liye perfect ho. Dono nautanki. Jatin Bhaiya jaise masoom sa aadmi ke liye hum koi better person dhoond lenge.
Jatin is confused, what happened to him?
Sona comes there and says, didn't she say madness? See the example.
Me: Behena, aap kyun hamare bheje ka lollypop banake chaat rahe ho? Aap to mari jaa rahee ho pagalpan ko jhelne ke liye. Dev comes to the room and kicks the bed. He says how can he give so much importance to her? She left him and he...
Me: Lo, ho gaya chalu Bhaiya ka bhajan.
Just then Golu comes to him, BigCha. Didn't you get surprised.
Dev wipes his tears and gets happy, Best surprise.
Dev asks who sent him?
Golu says that his grandfather sent him. Badi Dadi was not letting him go. But his grandfather sent him in secret.
Me: Mamaji, aak kal kafi punya ka kaam kar rahe ho. Lekin ek batao. Aap kaunsa Hitler ki Germany mein rehte ho, ki apne hi pote ko uske Dida ke ghar bhejne ke liye aapko aise chupna chupana padta hain?
Kabhi apne taraf dekho aur batao, kya aap ko lagta hain ki aap log azaad ho?
Golu said that he was missing him. Dev says that he was missing him too.
Golu asks if he was crying.
Dev says no. It's just here everyone is Team Bose, so he felt lonely. But now that he is here, they can make team too. Now see, how they clean bold Team Bose.
Me: Awww... Bose team is so bad, Bhaiya. Bijoy points one finger to you, his wife, his mother, his son, his daughter all stands by you like a solid wall. But still you need back up.
And Dixit team was so loving when all of you, your mother, your cousin, your aunt, your sister, your mother's aunt - all of you stood against one single Sonakshi like a solid wall. She didn't even have a Golu to hug and tell her pain and suffering.
Like I said, you still aren't getting the level of ass you are. Yet you claim love. Jo apne hi pyaar ka dard na samajh sake, woh kya pyaar karega ya nibhayega?
That's why I didn't believe you even for a second.
They go downstairs. The interfering uncle and Payal thanks him for making the party special. Dev says thank you. They leave.
Me: Bhaiya see, even their guests are nice to you. They are not picking your flaws like your guests were picking Sonakshi's flaws. I know. You are having such a hard time here. My heart is feeling sho shad for you right now. Do you want me to call your mummy to kiss your boo boo?
Dev takes Golu to eat something. He feeds Golu when Jatin comes there. He tells Golu hi. He is a little late, but party was great.
Golu excitedly asks if he is Soha's Jatin uncle?
Jatin nods, yes. He asks for Golu's introduction.
Golu says that his name is Golu.
Jatin shakes his hand while Dev is giving annoying looks.
Me: The same looks Ishwari gives to anyone who makes Dev smile. Maa-bete mein kitni similarity hain... Beta bilkul maa pe gaya hain. Sirf apna rona rota hain, doosro ka pain invisible.
Golu says that his name is funny naa. Like Joti, naughty, khoti, potty... he holds his nose.
Dev hides his smile.
Jatin laughs too. He is not at all offended.
He says that Suhana's mother and him are childhood friend.
Golu says that when his BigCha and him saw him for the first time with Suhana, they thought he is her father. Both man get silent.
Me: Chota packet, bada dhamaka... Kya kare Golu, Soha ki mummy ki choice itni achhi kahan...
PRECAP: All the Bose family member including Jatin is standing in the living room. Bijoy is holding the red bag Ronita's mother dropped. He says that he didn't know that a thief is staying at their house. He points at Dev and says he stole Ronita's jewellery. He got his daughter married to a thief.
Dev is gritting his teeth.
Bijoy opens the bag and takes out Ronita's jewellery.
Sonakshi is looking at Dev and Soha is watching from the stairs with tears in her eyes.
Me: How heartbreaking it is when someone is innocent yet is called a thief.
How heartbreaking it is when a daughter watches fingers pointing at her father calling him names no daughter wants to hear about her father.
How heartbreaking it is to face accusations that you have no defence of your own and have to wait for someone to prove you right.
Sonakshi faced it. Today Soha is facing it.
The difference is that when Dev erupts like Bijoy did and I bet you he will, no one will tell him that he is making mountain of a molehill and no one will accidentally slap him and expect him to forget and move on.
Because he is the business tycoon Dev Dixit. He is not just a hapless middle class father of a married daughter.
But I am glad CVs are recycling the script. Some offences only gets forgiveness when justice is delivered word for word. So may be now Bijoy can move on from the deep rooted anger being called a thief. May be now he can forget the slap which everyone but him forgot.
May be now, he will finally have peace.
So Bhaiya, when he calls you thief. Please take your advice and don't make mountain of a molehill. After all, what's the big deal? Be the father you expected Bijoy to be.
