Here's Why Sonam Kapoor Did Not Sign Any Film After Neerja
After a breakthrough performance in Neerja last year, Sonam Kapoor has been absent from the silver screen ever since. Her performance was appreciated by critics and viewers alike - and I was really looking forward to her next film.
However, Sonam took a long sabbatical soon after and traveled the world (sometimes with beau, Anand Ahuja), made personalised emojis, did photoshoots looking drop dead gorgeous - and was basically being too cool! DNA recently asked Sonam the reason she took almost an year long break after Neerja, and she said:
The beginning of 2016 was really hectic for me when Neerja released in February. I needed time. I don't know if people have noticed it, but I take a lot of time off between my films. I just needed to refresh myself and understand where I wanted to go next. I needed a break from Neerja as it was a heavy film for me to do. And after the promotions, I was exhausted, so I took time off.
But fret not because Sonam will be back soon! She has signed 3 films this year - Rajkumar Hirani's biopic on Sanjay Dutt, sister Rhea Kapoor's Veere Di Wedding and R Balki's Padman.
