"c'mon Meera you can do it!" her friends have said. "You can do everything"
Getting a boost to her ego she'd believed them stupidly. It was a night out with her friends Tanya, Rashi and Avantika. They were invited to Haider's farmhouse by sid, avantika's fianc. They were all drunk badly and Meera not being in her right senses had agreed to the dare she was given, taking it as a challenge. She had to spend one night with the Casanova Haider in his room. The drill was that both of them were blind folded and were warned to not take off the folds as they'll be watched via camera inside the room. It would have been a lot of fun to vishal, Tanya and others to witness what blunders these two were going to do together.
But who knew that one night would cause such a blunder in the lives of Haider and Meera.
The morning had come crashing down on everyone's head. When they came down from the hangover did they realize that Meera had left. Haider had refused to open the door to his room. They'd all fallen asleep the previous night unaware to what went by between the two. Unfortunately the recording of the camera got damaged by the maid. Neither of them would keep in touch. Just uninterested replies now and then satisfied their friends
One and a half month later...
Aahat teri paa kar jaage...Khwaab le angdaiyaan... Dhundhate the kab se tujhko... Main...Aur... Meri Tanhaiyaan...
Sid facepalmed. "Haider do you seriously think I am going to say this all on my wedding!"
Haider looked at sid,who wore an unbelievable expression. Sighing he shook his head "bhai mujhse jo hua mene likha aage tu likh le"
Sid held his hand as haider began to go "you miss her."
"sorry? Who?"
"Meera!"
"no I don't miss her" haider asked not meeting his gaze.
" I was stating not asking. Don't pretend yar. Ye le number baat kar usse"
"sid I have to run some errands. Will get back soon" haider left but sid's question more like statement didn't leave his mind all the time he drove. Yes it was true damn he missed everything about her. The most beautiful night that he had spent with one and only girl meera, he couldn't ever forget that. But he didn't know what would he say if he ever contacted her. so he chose not to. Meera the girl he know nothing about, the girl he gave so much love in just that one moment but he never saw her. all he knew was this was a fun part of a game and he was blindfolded and some girl was sent to him in his room. That girl has done things to him, formed a glitch in his system that from a month and more he's unable to get her out of his mind. And this has never happened to him ever. He was excited to meet her this time but was clueless how awkward would it get.
"hello meera? When did you land! Come soon we all are waiting"
"yes Tanya, I've landed and on my way. Reaching soon. See ya" Meera cut the call resting her head on the car seat. It was hard for her friends to get her to agree on coming to India again for avantika's wedding. She knew avoiding her friends for whatever happened wasn't good. So she was ready to face them. But ready to face him too?? Was she?
She sighed. She doesn't even know him. Where is he, what is he, his full name? she just knew he was a certain haider she'd never ever seen. To whose room she was sent blindfolded and had spent the best night of her life. How can someone's mere presence become so much important. Important to that extent that till now memories haunt her. she remembered she'd woken up in his bed. When she took off the blindfold she'd found a man lying next to her, his face buried in the pillow. Her headache was growing and she decided to leave the place to get a peace of mind. She had a hard time believing she actually did that stupid reckless task. And there's not a pinch of regret! Why! This made her angered by herself and without paying much heed to her friends she flew away to states. But getting away didn't help either. She remembered so very well how special the night was for her.
Haider's farmhouse was at the beach sight in Goa and hence a perfect place to held all the wedding functions. It was a casual preparty in the noon time for all to meet and have fun. Meera walked in the mansion feeling a strange excitement in her stomach. Just as she was about to read the nameplate she heard her friends and looked about to them.
"Meera gosh! We missed you so much dude" Tanya hugged. "awe I missed you all too" she hugged them back getting a smack from Rashi "chal jhuti! Telling lie is bad habbit" meera giggled on waving rashi as avantika stepped forward "meera thanku so much for coming bawjood uske jo hua...I mean I'm sorry"
"shhh...avantika its all cool between us yar, I guess I was more upset with myself. Let it go seriously" merra assured her.
"yarr tum log yahin par party karlo, khamkha itne preparations karwaaye mene" vishal came to get them all inside.
Merra changed into a nice beachy colorful dress and was having fun. She stepped to the bar counter.
"excuse me. Hey" "excuse me can I get a drink" after numerous attempts to get the attender's attention who was busy with other girls, she herself got to the other side of bar and looked for something nice.
Haider was walking towards the bar when his eyes landed on a girl trying to get herself a drink. "hey do you need some help?"
Meera turned around, her eyes colliding with his butterscotch eyes which bored into hers. "uhh...no actually I just got this" she shifted her weight to other leg showing him the bottle.
Both of them wondered about each other's voices. They could sense something familiar.
"okay sure you don't need something else?" he raised his eyebrows for a quick second, something he does to charm girls.
"noo...I was just going for a dance" she walked past him. "wait hey! You dance?" haider asked backing on his footsteps to keep up with her.
She turned around narrowing her eyes "you'll see" she hit a thumbs up to the dj as he rolled his tounge thinking interesting'

All the girls and boys soon joined her. vishaal pulled rashi with him to dance and Tanya hooted joining them along with sid and avantika. Meera was really feeling light enjoying and having fun feeling the joyful aura of the place. Sometimes its good to be around people getting lost in the crowd letting all your inhibitions wash away.

Haider seemed impressed of the moves meera pulled out in that elegant dress hugging her body. He gave her an encouraging smile as she came up to him pulling him into the crowd dancing away.
The music boomed with the waves washing over their feet. Haider was for a moment lost in meera dancing carefreely with a smile, her hair strands kissing her face and then her flicking her hairs back dancing around .
Everytime every minute of the day

As if on their own accord, haider could feel the thumping below his feet and he started swaying his body too. All others got happy to see that haider and meera have finally sorted out. While meera was dancing in fun to feel light haider on the other hand was drawn by meera's beauty and something about her had all his mind on her. just her. she came forward to him taking his hand and leading them to the showers to dance.

Haider was so unaware to where he was standing. He was just lost in her mischievious eyes. She grinned to him before pulling down the chain of the shower which poured above both of them much to haider's bewilderment and meera's delight. As soon as haider realized meera trapped him into coming down under the shower he pulled her to him by means of her waist so that she couldn't go without getting drenched. She was taken aback and supported one hand on his chest and his eyes followed her hand on his chest. He wondered what was it about the girl. While meera felt his heartbeats matching the pace of her own. This touch was so familiar. Both of them stood searching answers to their questions in each other's eyes , getting drenched from the shower above.
Khwaab mein kaid thi parchaiyaan

Meera found it hard to breath freely under his gaze. She looked around to the hooting crowd who'd just enjoyed haider falling in the trap. Removing her hand from his chest she moved away a little as his hand slid back from her waist at his side. She backed away into the crowd.
"that was fun meera !" avantika exclaimed laughing.
"excuse me guys" meera made her way to the house and Tanya frowned following her inside.
Vishal tapped haider's shoulders "bhai aj toh maza hi agaya matlab the haider ali khan! Itni badi hasthi ko ek ldki ullu bna gyi" haider pulled back his wet hairs smiling away as sid smirked. " vishaal iss badi hasthi haider ko takkar dene ke liye koi toh aya. Meera se better kaun hota."
"sahi h bhai" they both laughed as haider's face expressions changed. "ek minute...who ladki meera hai?"
"kamala hai abhi toh saamne thi bhul gye ho kya. Bhai ko STML to nh hogya na" vishal chuckled.
Sid, who knew haider has never seen meera, realized on this point that maybe nothing is sorted between the two as haider might haven't known the girl he was being friendly with was meera. He kept his hand on haider's shoulder and smiled at him. "haan yahi hai meera. you gave a nice beginning ab go for it" haider sighed feeling so light at heart. She was here finally. He smiled back at sid and nodded.

He made his way into the house. They needed to talk, he was going to let her know whatever be her reactions, her thoughts or anything. He has seen a longing for something in her eyes. She was here. He was here then why not just do what he wanted, what his heart wanted.
"meera I don't understand why are you so working yourself up. It was just a dance" haider stopped as he heard Tanya talking to meera.
"Tanya he...I don't know something about him was so...so oh how do I say. That touch wo...wo pal mujhe kisi khoye hue pal ki yaad dilate hai" meera scrunched her eyebrows closing her eyes under her palms.
Tanya sighed. "please meera its time for you and him to make new memories.look jo hua tum dono ke ..." Tanya was cut short by haider who just walked in "hey meera " meera looked up hearing his husky voice. "what are you doing here?" meera stood up feeling uncertainity crawl up her sleeves.tanya gave him a questioning look and he didn't give her any chance to speak lest if she'd spill the beans of him being haider, he won't be able to see meera's reaction. He wanted to reveal his identity himself.
"you know we both should change. I'm sure you don't want to fall ill at our friends wedding" he gave her a half grinned eyebrow up expression.
Meera licked her dried lips wanting to laugh at why would he come up all the way up from the party to suggest her this. Haider signaled Tanya to step out of room. "yaa I think haider's right you both should change." Tanya left saying so. But this has caused meera's eyes to bulge out.
"are..yiu..what did she say your name is?" meera's heart was running so fast by now as haider advanced towards her. " haider" he bore his gaze into hers.her eyes snapped to his.

Backing away she was going to hit the lamp as he pulled her towards her. suddenly he was affecting her so much...why? Just by a mere name. meera get a grip girl. Aur bhi haider hai duniya mein' her thoughts warned but she was too aware of the familiarity his touch carried. He moved forward almost hugging her as she widened her eyes.
"Haider Ali Khan" he whispered in most sensuous way. He was pleased to see he affected her as much as she did to him. so she might not carry any regrets too' he thought to himself.

Khoke bhi aj tak ...khoya nahi...
"aap bhool gayi kya?" he asked moving back now loving the play of her facial muscles behind the soft skin. Meera turned around letting his hands drop from her. she closed her eyes gaining some amount of courage "kosish toh ki thi par nahi bhool payi"
He grinned holding his hair back "oh god meera! I've been going really crazy. Its all on my mind always...Wohh raat..wohh pal "
"wohh pal jo jo bohat khaas hai...wohh pal jo mere nahi ab paas hai...wohh pal jo kho gya..." she sat on the bad as he followed her "kho gaya tha meera. Aap ese chali gayi it was difficult to not share out to you...uss pal mein mai sab se zada jee liya tha meera. Ehsaas hi kuch aur dilaya aapne mujhe...aapka sath usss pal me hazaaro khushiya bhar gya" their eyes locked expressing to each other what that night meant for them.

Baaki hai tehra andar kahin..

She smiled through thick tears as she remembered how she had once said to avantika ki humein kya pata kisi ka saath kisi ke liye kya maayne rakhta hai chahe who ek pal ka ho, ek raat ka ya humesha ke liye'
"wohh khoya hua pal...usey wapas lane ke liye kya aap mujhe ek mauka dengi?" he smiled raising his eyebrows bending on his knees. She just smiled and tried standing up to get away but he held her wrist. "uss din toh aap chali gayi...ab nahi jaane dunga" he shook his head.
Over distance they have realized what they meant for each other. It was not about beauty not about anything else...looks didn't matter ...where they belonged didn't ever. What was important was their presence. That night too they were blindfolded and what kept them connected was the whole sense of someone being there. A touch of love was all they both craved right now. She was content to know he felt the same way and now that they were aware of each other's feelings why not just give them a chance and not run away.
She turned around eyeing his hand holding her wrist. She caught his hand by her free hand and held it to her heart. "aur agar wohh pal wapas naa laa sake toh?"
Gehra saa...halka saa..
"Try me" he shrugged twisting his lips and then winking. She really liked his eyes. They were light. They were warm. They were lovely. And at his voice she was a goner.

Kaafi tha unsub apne liye...
"ye haider aur meera kaha reh gaye?" avantika asked as they descended down the hall to go to sangeet.
"hey guys all set...aaanchooo...sorry excuse me" haider came wearing his black sherwaani.
"all set...ye kya ho gya na zukhaam" vishaal facepalmed
"hii meera...looking stunning yar" Tanya exclaimed as meera walked in wearing an offwhite outfit.
Meera smiled highlighting those quick dimples which appears as quickly as they fade away. "thanks tanyaa.a...aanchooo...sorry"
Tanyaa looked at haider and then back to meera smiling big. Rashi intervened "haider...meera tum dono ko saath mein zukhaam"
Meera felt heat in her cheeks as haider winked at her and then smiled at rashi "you see rashi I didn't have a choice. Meera ne poori tarah se bheega diya hai mujhe" "ooohh"
Meera raised her eyebrows rolling her tounge and chuckling in a whisper.
"apne pyaar mein bhi bheega diya hai " haider watched her lovingly.
"oh my god! Don't tell me!!" Tanya exclaimed. "you guys are together meera?" avantika asked. "finally dude you did the right thing" sid praised and vishaal and rashi hugged meera and haider respectively.
When all were busy in sangeet doing all the fun and masti meera was cornered by haider. "toh kya keh ri thi aap?"
"what about?" she asked confused and half perplexed by his closeness
"about mai aapka khoya hua pal wapas dedu remember?" he raised his eyebrows higher to which meera giggled. "yes" she battered her eyelashes and freed herself from his hold holding his both hands and rose on her toes. Haider closed his eyes as she came closer whispering in his ears "this time I want to drown in your eyes"
Haider gave a cheeky smile as she pecked him and ran away.

i'm writing after ages so had to start up with something short to get into the form again.
how i missed writing
i'm a bit unsatisfied with this as i planned something else and then ended up writing this but still i needed to start somewhere⭐️
