| It was grey morning. The cell phone vibrated, waking Sidharth up. He reached out for it and switched off the alarm. He opened his eyes slowly; and noticed Roshni sleeping bag was empty. Sid got up quickly. He didn't understand why his heart was pounding so hard. He became restless "Subah Subah Roshni kahan gaye". Without a second thought he rushed out of the tent. His eyes scanned the campsite. "Where are you Roshni. Why do I feel so uneasy" He quickly made his way towards Soniya tent. "Ahh Good morning Saali Sahiba" Soniya who was still struggling to get up "Arre JeejuSa. ...itne Subah?? Roshni threw you out of the tent kya" "Matlab, she didn't come here".. Panic overwhelmed him. "Phir kahan hai woh?" Rahul understanding his uneasiness tried to calm his nerves. "Relax Bro, where would she go. She must be here somewhere on the campsite." Sidharth felt a twinge of dread. His heart skipped a beat. He knew something was not right. A wave of panic swept over him. He ran out of the tent "Roshni!...Roshni...Roshni!" He screamed. His heart pounded faster. His mind was telling him that he was being foolish, but his heart wasn't listening to his mind. He raced around the campsite, asking everyone if they had seen his Roshni. But nobody had seen her. Sidharth fumbled at his pocket, and pulled out his cell phone. "Come on Roshni pick up...pick up Roshni please" There was no reply. He dialed again and again, but still no reply. He fell to his knees and held his head in his hards. Tears began to flow countlessly. Rahul picked him up and took him back to Soniya tent. ------------------------------------------------------------- Roshni opened her eyes. She found herself lying in some dirt in the darkness. A small light was moving towards her. She could see his cruel face in the glow of the light. It was Dev. Her breathing became heavy, and couldn't make herself get up. She was afraid to move. ------------------------------------------------------------------ "I looked for Dev. ..he's not here" said Rahul hesitantly as he walked back into the tent. Sidharth closed his eyes as tears ran down his face. He knew Roshni was in danger. "I'm sorry Roshni. ...I'm sorry". Rahul put his hand on his shoulder "We'll find her Bro. ..We won't let anything happen to her" Sidharth turned to face Soniya and Rahul "If that Dev touches my Roshni I'll kill him. ..I'll kill him. I warned him to stay away... I warned him" his voice trailed away. Soniya stood rooted. Shocked at what she had just heard "You threatened him. You threatened Dev" Her face turned pale, and her breathing hitched. Rahul held onto her "Are you okay Jellybean". Soniya was silent. She gulped hard and looked at Sidharth. She had to tell him. "Sidharth what did you do" Sidharth looked at her puzzled "Matlab" his voice trembling. "You shouldn't have threatened him, you shouldn't have threatened him". She closed her eyes "It's happening again" Sidharth felt his heart miss a beat. "What's happening" he shuddered as he spoke Soniya had tears rolling down her eyes "When Dev is threatened, he considers it a Challenge. Even though he is obsessed with Roshni, hurting her is no issue. Threatening him makes him want Roshni more". She fell to her knees " 3 years ago, I made the same mistake of threatening him. I told him to stay away from Roshni. I threatened to call the police. then..then" Sidharth gulped hard "Then..." FLASHBACK "Just stay away from Roshni, you get that Dev Saxena. Forget about love, she doesn't even like you. Stay away, or I'll call the Police, and I'll make sure you rot in jail for the rest of your life". Dev smirked looking at her. "Was that a threat my dear ...I don't like threats" Sonia not deterred by him "Yes!!! Consider yourself threatened" and walked away. Dev smile turned cold as he watched Soniya retreating figure. "Like I said I don't like threats..." ROSHNI/SONIYA APARTMENT It was late when Sonia returned to the Apartment. As she walked in she noticed the room had been badly vandalised. Suddenly, she felt someone grab her from behind, and forced a cloth on her face. She tried to scream, but the sweet smell filled her nose and she felt herself loosing consciousness. When she woke, she was tied to a chair, with a terrible headache. She opened her eyes and saw Roshni being held by Dev with a knife in his hand. Present Sidharth clenched his hands. His heart pounded at an unstoppable rate, as if it would explode out of his chest. "Did he hurt my Roshni" Sid asked terrified FLASHBACK "Welcome back Soniya. Roshni was worried for you". Still looking at her, "You know this is all your fault Soniya. You shouldn't have threatened me. I don't like threats. Now I have to prove to you, how important Roshni is to me" Turning back to Roshni, holding her even tighter around the waist "Soniya threatened me Babe. She warned me to stay away from you". Suddenly he burst out laughing. "She doesn't understand our love Roshni. She doesn't understand that you are the light, the Roshni of my life" pressing his cheeks against hers. Roshni tried to pull away, much to Dev annoyance. "Why do you always pull away. Don't you like me touching you Roshni" his voice a little harsher. Her breathing quickened, as he started nuzzling her neck. He began to touch her face, fingering his way down to her lips "Oh darling. I tried. I tried to tell you how much I love you. But it seems that wasn't enough to make you understand. So now I have to show you my love. I have to show you both how much I really love Roshni" looking back at Soniya. His hands began to explore her body. Roshni voice trembled, she pleaded "No...Oh God please No." tears rolling down her cheeks. Roshni felt disgusted by his touch. "Say you love me Roshni" Roshni couldn't speak. Fear overcame her. Dev considered her silence a "No" Suddenly Roshni felt a blow on her cheek, and her head slammed into the wall. Her head came in contact with the corners of the wall. She fell to the floor and blood oozed out of her head. "I give you everything, Love Care and you ignore me. You ignore my love" "Three words I love you. ...that's all I ask. Is it that difficult Roshni. I'm not asking for the moon" He paced up and down the room. Trying to calm his anger. "Why are you so stubborn Roshni. Just say you love me. Is it that hard". His voice was stern, as he pulled at her hair making her shriek in pain. Roshni was sobbing hysterically. Her body trembling. Dev kicked her in the stomach several times, and then picked her up by her hair. Roshni coughed; and Dev could see the fear in her eyes. "Why are you afraid Roshni. Don't cry. I don't like it when you cry". He grabbed her around the waist and wiped away her tears. "Sshhh don't cry Roshni...Ssshhh" Soniya watched, her heart beat quickened seeing Roshni in pain. She cursed herself that she couldn't do anything. Closing her eyes tightly, Soniya took in a deep breath and struggled harder to untie herself. "Hey, hey Babe. It's okay. You know I wouldn't hurt you. Just relax. You know how much I love you." Dev said cupping Roshni face. Roshni trembling increased as he took her in his arms again. Slowly he began to open the buttons of her shirt "Looks like I'll have to show you the depth of my love...as he brushed his cheek against hers. "P. ...Please...D- Dont. D-D-Don't do this please" Roshni begged as he continued opening her buttons. "Awww don't beg Darling. You are mine. And it's time to make you mine forever" PRESENT Sidharth clenched his wrists so hard, that his nails dug into him, causing him to bleed. "Then what happened" he screamed. His anger unbounded. FLASHBACK Roshni managed to release herself, but it was only for a moment. Dev grabbed her roughly and shoved her face down onto the floor. "Why do you keep doing this Roshni. Why do you keep trying to run away. You know I'd never hurt you. I love you" He took the knife he was holding and dragged it against the skin on the back of her neck. Never removing the knife, he dragged it down her back, tearing the her shirt in the process. Roshni winced and whimpered. Then he dug the knife lightly into her back, causing a few specs of blood to flow. He rolled her over. "Why can't you understand my love. Why do you make me angry. You know you have to be punished nah" He got up and removed his belt. He wiped her with the buckle of the belt, over and over. Roshni cried out in pain. Soniya shuddered watching this horrific act. She began tugging and pulling at the knots, desperately trying to free herself. Dev grabbed Roshni and pulled her up. He hugged her dragging his claws against her back. "I'm sorry. You know I wouldn't hurt you It's just that you make me so angry. Please forgive me Babe. Please forgive me" He traced his finger along her face down to her lips and played with them for a while. Gradually his hand slid back down to her buttons. "Enough games. Time to have some fun. Time to show you, how much I really love you" Suddenly everything began to get dark as Dev fell to the floor. Soniya stood behind him with a vase in her hand. In a split second, she placed a jacket over a panic stricken Roshni and ran out if the apartment as quick as they could. PRESENT Sidharth stood shell shocked. Not knowing how to react. His eyes were red with anger. "He w-w-whipped my Roshni with his b-b-belt... He pulled her hair...He k-k-k-kicked her." Sidharth voice breaking up, as tears rolled down his eyes. "Did you report him to the Police" asked Rahul Soniya shook her head "No. Roshni was too terrified. She just wanted to run. She never wanted to see him again. We left for Paris that night...and we never heard from him since that day he came back into our lives" Sidharth took a deep breath. He was flooded with rage, horror and anger. "I'll find you Roshni. I won't let that Bas***d hurt you again. He will pay for what he did to you Roshni. I'll make him pay for your pain... I'm coming Roshni. "I'm coming". |
| Sidharth was desperately trying to get a grip on his emotions. He felt he was hanging on to dear life by a thin thread, hoping and praying that he'd come out on the right side. He felt like he was drowning and needed to be resuscitated. The fear of loosing Roshni made his body tremble. He felt helpless. Sidharth folded his hands to stop the shaking. His blood boiled with anger, fear of loosing Roshni was consuming him. He felt as if someone had put a heavy rock on his heart. "Scum like that needs to be locked away...and I'll see to it...that he never sees the light of day again" Screamed Sidharth. "Bro calm down" replied Rahul as he watched Sid pace up and down. "Calm down!!!!! Are you Freaking Kidding me right now!!!!!!" snapped Sid. Pointing a finger towards Rahul "He's got my Roshni, you get that!. His mind is twisted. He is capable of doing anything. If he hurts her I swear Rahul.." his voice trailed off. After a small pause. "I'm going to kill him Rahul,...I'm going to kill him". Rahul tried to calm the situation "You're not thinking straight right now" "Rahul is right JeejuSa. You need to calm down. Your anger isn't going to help. We need to think logically. We need to think fast. You need to cool your mind" Sidharth looked up at them teary eyed. He knew they were right. He needed to get a grip on his emotions ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Sleeping beauty is finally awake" said Dev as he sat down besides her. "Dev. .." her whisper was so low, he barely heard her. "P-P- Please mujhe chodo" sobbed Roshni. "You know I can't do that... You know how much I love you" he said stroking her hair gently. "D-D-don't touch me. ...don't touch me. Get away from me.." she pleaded turning her face away. Dev gripped his hand on her face tightly, and turned it back towards him. Without uttering a single word he looked into her eyes with intensity The feeling of his eyes on her, made her nervous. "Why are you scared of me Roshni. I would never hurt you, you know that". Narrowing his eyes, he began thinking... "Oh yes...I know I hurt you before, but you made me do it Roshni. You made me do it!!! He looked into her eyes. This face up close to hers, stroking her cheeks. "Why did you leave me Roshni. ...Why! You know how much I missed you?" He continued to caress her cheeks lovingly "After that night, you know how much I searched for you. Not being able to see you, or touch you..I was going mad... I want to apologise for that night. I want to make it up to you Babe". Suddenly his care turned sour. "Why did you leave me Roshni?. How could you do that to me! " his voice was now harsh. "And that Sidharth Khurana. ...why did you marry him". Roshni cringed at the harshness of his voice "Your married to Rita, she's your wife. ..Please let me go...please". Dev mouth curved up on the right as he smirked "That was just a business arrangement, made by our parents. I don't love her...I love you Babe". His fingers slowly made its way to her lips. "Awww, my Babe is jealous kya" he said as he stroked her lips softly. "I know that you love me, just to shy to admit it, hai nah Babe". "Your so beautiful Roshni" he murmured in a daze. Roshni struggled to get free, but he was too strong for her. She tried to scream, but it was muffled by his hand. Tears trickled down her cheeks and a sob escaped her lips "Hey hey. ..ssshhh. its okay. I would never hurt you". ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Kahan ho tum Roshni. ..where's that Ba****d taken you" Sidharth anger increased, and his rage was blinding him to think clearly. Time was slipping away. He felt with every passing second he was loosing Roshni. Finally he took a deep breath, trying to relax his thoughts. He needed to think straight. He had to find Roshni. "Roshni where are you?" he said putting his hand on his heart, trying to control his heart beat. He looked up at Rahul and Soniya. "We don't have time to waste. My Roshni is with that creep, her life is in danger. We need to act fast. We need to act now" His thoughts frantically began searching for ways to find to Roshni. His mind was going through all the possibilities. But nothing. Panic set in, tears fell from his eyes. "What to do. What to do". Suddenly Rahul clicked his fingers "Roshni mobile, we can find her location through an app" "Yes of course, of course. ." Soniya replied excitedly. Sid looked up. A linger of hope in his eyes. He scrambled for his mobile and opened the app. He waited for the location to upload with baited breath... Suddenly he shook his head vigorously "No. ..No...No" His heart missed a beat, as he ran hysterically towards his tent. There it was. Roshni mobile was on her sleeping bag. Sidharth fell to his knees. He felt as if the last thread of hope had snapped. Rahul racked his brain.. "There's got to be another way. Think! Think" Sidharth closed his eyes..."Roshni kahan ho tum" "Dev!!!" Screamed Soniya. Sidharth suddenly opened his eyes... "Dev what Jellybeans????" "Devs mobile...try locating his mobile" Sidharth got up suddenly "Your right ..Dev...but I don't have his number" "JeejuSa , but we have Rita remember" Sidharth rushed out to Rita, who started fixing her hair, as soon as she saw Sid approach. "Ahh... Hi Rita" "Hi Sidharth" she said in a seductive tone "Umm actually I was wondering whether you could give me Dev number. I really need to talk to him. You know business talk" Rita who was totally lost in Sidharth eyes "Anything darling, anything...If you want I can give you my number too" winking at him Trying very hard to maintain his cool , Sidharth just nodded his head. Rita narrated the number to him, and he left straight away "But wait, I haven't given you my number yet " shrieked Rita. He quickly typed in the number, and a smile appeared "Got you!!! You "Ba****d. I'm coming to get you!!!!!!!!" I'm coming Roshni. .I'm coming" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Roshni held her breath, as he picked her up off the ground. His arms grasped her waist tightly. His claws dug into her back, making her wince. She tried to scream, but his hand clamped over her lips, to force her mouth shut. The only thing she could see was his dark eyes. He grabbed a strand of her hair, and twirled it around his finger. "Oh dear, I was hoping you wouldn't be angry with me anymore. But I can see I was wrong" He paused thinking.. "Maybe I should give you more time...or then again maybe I shouldn't" his voice was cold as ice. She closed her eyes, trying to gather all the strengh she could muster. Suddenly out of nowhere, she thrashed him and bit his hand hard. Dev began to curse her. Taking advantage of his distraction she began to run. But it was useless. He had grabbed her by the hair and pulled her back. "Leave me...leave me" sobbed Roshni Dev didn't listen. He turned her around. She could see the rage rising in his eyes. "You cant run from me Roshni. From now all you will life by my rules. Do you get that Babe" he said gliding his finger town her cheek. "Now first say you love me. Come on Babe it's not that difficult" Roshni trembled under his touch, but refused to do as he asked. Slowly his hand moved to her throat. His grip became tighter "Is it so hard to say these words Roshni" His hand was grasping her throat, leaving her without air. Roshni eyes were wide with fear. Small rugged gasps escaped her throat. She could feel herself loosing consciousness. In her fear to save herself, she clawed her fingers into his hand as hard as she could "Ooch!!! You B***ch" He slapped her hard, and she fell on her back hitting her head on the floor. Blood began to flow. "My love, why do you always upset me. You are mine to claim" he whispered as he lowered himself to her. He lay on top of her, pinning her arms. He began nuzzling his lips against her neck. "I love you Roshni. ..you know that. Then why do you always run from me" Roshni pushed, kicked and even tried to get her wrists away from his grip, but nothing worked. He looked at her and saw tears in her eyes. "Don't you like it when I touch you" his voice was hard, tinged with anger. "I can do anything for you...but you. ..you always do this...why Roshni why do you always hurt me. Don't my feelings mean anything to you?" In a fit of rage, unable to control himself, he punched her face over and over. Her lips bled and his hand left a print on her face. She was badly bruised. Roshni closed her eyes in agony. Then suddenly she felt a pain in her side. A clear liquid was slowly being injected into her. Dizziness took over. "It's okay Roshni ..Ssshhh" said Dev as she drifted out of consciousness. He stared at her as she lay there unconscious. "Your so beautiful Roshni" he said stroking her cheeks gently. "But I need to teach you a lesson...After today you will be mine, only mine". He began to undo her button's as he lay on top of her. Suddenly he felt a hand on his collar. He turned. Sidharth looked down at him. His eyes red with rage. Sidharth eyes slowly drifted to Roshni, lying Battered and bruised. He could see the fresh tears still lingering on her cheeks. His breath caught in his throat. Rage began to flow through his veins. He gritted his teeth. He stood still, his eyes bulging with rage as he turned his gaze back at Dev. He forced him to his feet. "You Ba****d " he swung his fist against his jaw as hard as he could. Dev lost his balance, but Sid still holding him by the collar, didn't allow him to fall. He took another shot at his ribs. This sent a ripple of pain throughout Dev's body "How dare you do this to my Roshni.How dare you hurt her. How dare you touch her!!.." yelled Sidharth. Rahul tried to restrict Sidharth before things got out of order. But everything he said, went into one ear, and right out the other. Sidharth was in no mood in letting him go that easily. "I know what I'm doing Rahul. This Scum deserves everything, that I'm going to give him" "He dared to hurt my Roshni" Without hesitation he landed a kick to his face. It broke his jaw, and cut his lip. Dev fell to the floor. Sidharth kicked him in the stomach as hard as he could, and then slowly began to remove his belt. "This is what you used to hurt my Roshni remember...now its your turn to feel her pain" He turned to look at Roshni, still unconscious. Tears ran down his eyes. "This is for you Baby". He whipped him with the buckle of his belt, just as he had done with Roshni, over and over and over again. Soon the police arrived on the scene, and restrained him from beating Dev further. "Mr. Khurana, you cannot take the law into your own hands. We will handle this matter from here" The police held on to Sidharth tightly as he struggled to free himself "Let me go. I haven't finished with him yet" "Calm down Bro. ..calm down" Rahul took hold of him "I want him to rot in jail ...do you get that inspector!!" Yelled Sidharth The inspector nodded, as they handcuffed him. As he was led away, Dev turned and smirked "This is not over Sidharth Khurana...I'll be back, for my Roshni" Sidharth flung himself at him, punching him again and again "I'll kill you...I'll kill you. Come near my Roshni again...I'll send you straight to Hell!!!" Rahul took hold of him trying to control him. "Leave him Bro...The police will handle him" Sidharth turned to Roshni, who was being cradled by Soniya. He ran to her and fell on his knees. He took her from Soniya, and held her in his arms, gently caressing her face. "Roshni. ..Roshni. ..tum teek to ho nah?" There was no response. She lay motionless. His heart beat became erratic. He felt like a thousand daggers were being thrust into his chest and twisted. His breath came in short painful gasps. "Ankhen khoulo nah Roshni...Ankhen khoulo" "Mein aa gaya hoon Roshni. There's nothing to be afraid of anymore, I promise. ...Roshniii" He looked up at Soniya, teary eyed. "Meri Roshni ankhen Kyon nahin khol rahi" "I'm so sorry Roshni. ..I'm so sorry. ..I couldn't protect you" Sidharth began crying out loud. He rocked her in his arms. "We need to call the Doctor Sidharth. Why hasn't she gained consciousness" cried Soniya. His mind spiralled down, into dark depression of thoughts |
