Its because Amitda is also a legendary son of his legandary father. I watched all the episodes and I dont think he is comparing any contestant with his father who is definitely beyond any comparison. Even after 20 years of his (Kishoreda) death, we (Bollywood and Indians) could not hunt a single person from out of 100 crores of population of India who is as talented as Kishore Kumar. Hence comparing anyone with Kishore Kumar is simply riduculous and Amit Kumar, being Kishoreda's son knows this very well. Ofc, he must not be present for each and every recording but he was definitely very much close to his father and his father has always been his best friend. Kishoreda always used to share his experiences with Amit. So Amit Kumar also tell loads of stories about his father in his shows as well; thats his style of bringing fun and spice to the show and the song.

Just imagine if he was not one of the judge in 'K for Kishore'!! It would have been sooo dry show and would have been just like another talent hunt show. Amit Kumar, tusi gr8888 ho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I completely agree with Omkar's reply. Obviously being very close to his famous Dad, Amitda was lucky enough to share his experiences and I think that he has enriched the show by sharing those experiences with us. I enjoy his comments and when I hear the interesting titbits I admire Kishoreda even more. As for his comments for the singers, I think that they are entirely justified and impartial and the singers take them in a good spirit.

I even like his way of making comments on the songs sung by participants!! Its very constructive and also encouraging!!! I feel Amit Kumar's contribution definitely helped to make this show successful. Just see his enthusiacism!! :)

Anit Kumar makes the show worth watching. I really enjoy when he tells those interesting stories of The Great Kishore Kumar.

Amit Kumar is the life and soul of this show. He is what makes this show extremely genuine.

His description of the various songs is simply nostalgic and gives us an insight on what happened behind the scenes and how Kishoreda would think.

He is definitely not comparing anyone to Kishoreda but is always very constructive in his comments and encourages the contestants to sing better.

I wish Asha Bhonsle would come on the show too. Would be simply magic then.

both sudesh bhosle and amit kumar make this show. bappi lahri i could do without honestly. he doesn't bring anything to the table besides his relationship with kishoreda in my humble opinion. i have personally neever been a fan of his. not taking anyhting away from his talent. its just not my taste.
