Destroying the illusion of happiness

The mirror, despite being broken, due to special effects and editing, still has Maya's smile on it.

I think this was highly symbolic, it clearly depicts that Arjun is destroying the illusion of happiness from his life. Just like the mirror, what Maya offered has been an illusion all along, and as per shown in the promo, Arjun destroys it himself. Arjun will be responsible for his own downfall, perhaps, his undoing would have been manipulated by Maya but it would be him who directly chose to take such action.

It has already been shown how Arjun has cut all ties with his family, and now, even Saanjh, for Maya. This was all pre-planned by Maya and was almost done at her command, but it was ultimately Arjun's decision. He did this just for Maya, for the illusion he believed was true, now that he would have probably discovered it is just an illusion, I wonder what is to come.
