After so many days we finally got an episode that dealt purely with emotions. No black magic rubbish or shraaps, and minimum screen time of irrelevant characters. Today the episode belonged to Raghav and Vividha.
Before i do talk about Vivi and Atharv though, I must mention Sujata and her most absurd statement today when she told Ravish that he was the son she was proud of.
For 27 years, Atharv was with his mother, supporting her, fighting the samaaj for her, and not letting any harm come to her. He left her to look after Vivi because he thought he was dying yet he told his mother that only she could do his last rites for him. And now, she doesn't even wonder how her son is or feels the need to go and see him. He had told her he was dying when she last saw him so as a mother, did she not feel the need to find out why he was still alive.
And Ravish.
When he told Sujata that some people only give and get nothing in return I wondered what he was actually talking about. For the last four years he had got pretty much everything that he had desired...a wife, son and mothers who love him. How could he think that he only gave and got nothing in return. The only thing that he never did get was Vividh's love. Perhaps that is the greatest thing he desires. And now that Vivi has gone to meet Atharv, Ravish has a fear in his heart. A fear that he could lose everything.
Vivi had a plan. She would get Madhav to sneak into Atharv's room and get some items for the DNA test and leave as soon as they had got it. And Madhav very cleverly sneaked into Atharv's bedroom and found the ithings he needed. However, as he ran out he bumped into Suman who was shocked to see him and Vivi in Delhi.
As much as Viidha tries, she cannot keep away from Atharv. While Madhav was doing his detective work, Guddi asked 'Ramkali' to help her in the kitchen and there she saw Atharv cooking. Immediately she thought back to the times Atharv had cooked food and couldn't resist taking a look at him. As she started to chop an onion, she listened to Atharv as he told her that men should do women's work too. His words transported her back to a time when she and Atharv were so much in love and he had insisted on them being equals. As she was lost in her memories she cut her finger and Atharv rushed to help.
As soon as their hands touched , he felt something and Vivi too could not move her hand away as the feelings engulfed her too. Atharv could not understand why he was reacting to Ramkali this way, and as he tried to process his feelings, they heard Madhav scream for his mother.
Both Atharv and Vivdha ran to the child to make sure he was okay. And as Vivi tried to explain away Madhav's behaviour, Atharv went to reassure the child but instead his hands touched Vividha's again. And again, they both felt a connection which Vividha broke by pulling her hands away before she got more lost in the moment.
As Vividha walked away, the tears fell from her eyes, not because she had been unsuccessful in their mission to get the DNA, but because Atharv had managed to touch her heart again and the pain of it all overflowed as tears. And Atharv was left wondering why he felt what he did when he touched Vividha's hands.
In the pre-cap, Madhav tells Vivi he was scared because badima might come back.
