Ravish - unfolded
Ravish has intrigued me like no other character. He is the most calm, composed, highly rational character with a sense of justice to a fault. Ravish is his own strength and his own weakness. Yes he will suffer a total breakdown but not at the hands of someone else but as a result of his own decisions. Characters like Vivi and others may facilitate the breakdown but will never be the ultimate cause. He himself of his own volition will lead his self to his own partial annihilation.
Partial annihilation because Ravish inner strength cannot be destroyed nor annihilated by anyone not even himself. It may be broken but never destroyed nor exterminated. So he will rebuild himself. This reconstructing stage may be facilitated by some other new character but definitely not the existing ones. The present set of characters draw their strength from him. Ravish is each and every characters ultimate support and strength - from atharv to Vv to Vashisht family to the Ajmer extended family. Even in his feeblest moment (breakdown moment) Ravish will somehow be their fulcrum n strength.
Ravish is the undisputed pivot of JNDSD. The show is all about Ravish - his deconstruction and subsequent reconstruction. All the love stories, existing as well as the new ones yet to be introduced, will revolve around him and with him. He will live his own love story, without doubt, because that will be an intrinsic part of his reconstruction. Ravish rebuilding stage will be the most beautiful stage of JNDSD.
Studying science coupled with a voracious reading habit from science to Litt. to mythology Ravish has always pulled me back to him time and again. Shashank's charm was the initial X factor and will always remain so. I believe if ravish was played by someone other than shasha I may never have got interested in the first place. So yes the ultimate credit goes to Shashank for portraying the nuances of Ravish with excellent finesse and credibility.
JNDSD is my first and only TV show, watching it since P-2, I hope my presumptions don't sink like a dead stone without any hope of salvage!!
Will sit out the present P -4 and shall wait for the reconstruction of Ravish.
