Shivaay-Anika's journey of expressiveness

I find myself once again in a surprising minority of folks who enjoyed today's Shivika scene😆

There's a host of complaints floating around...not enough romance, how did they get so comfortable with each other?😆That can't be Shivaay, must be an imposter spouting such feelings waali lines😆...the dubbing was off, etc. etc.

I personally didn't get that sense today...or frankly in the other nice scenes we've been getting this week...it's been a surprisingly good week for Shivika scenes😆...I was braced for a repeat of the Tia exposure week where they literally didn't provide any follow up other than the random Chakku scene...but this week has been an improvement from that.

They built a mini arc around the "aww/ahh" thing that culminated nicely today😆...It can't be easy to find new words to build Shivika's interactions around but they've managed to keep it going somehow...although blush/brush got executed better, "aww/ahh" has been cute in it's own way😆.

Throughout this week, Shivaay and Anika have taken turns expressing their deepest emotions...we started with Shivaay expressing that she is his strength, proudly declaring her his wife, this was followed up with Anika very emotionally telling him that he is the one person in her life above everyone, including herself...the only one she feels will always be there for her...what followed this was a bit of a bantering interlude😆...in typical Shivika style, they found a way to bicker even about expressing themselves😆...and also in typical Shivika style, they managed to balance b/w the goofy and the poignant bits.

I didn't have any expectations, yet somehow it seems the writers for once, wanted to provide some follow up to a monumental declaration from Shivaay😆...him declaring her his wife has caused a shift b/w Shivika...they both now feel much more comfortable and secure about their place in each other's life and have so begun to express their feelings...that is what this week seems to have been about...Anika literally bared her heart to him as she expressed her emotions about where he stands in her life...in response, after a little bit of a bantering "aww/ahh", Shivaay gradually moved towards expressing himself as well...yesterday, he explained the meaning of "aww" to her...and followed it up with expressing what he felt when she said those things to him...

Today, he added to that even more significantly, letting her know that he's noticed every minute detail about her all this time...expressing a wealth of affection about all her traits...and everything that makes her Anika through the description of that Chaand bracelet...and ultimately in typical Shivaay style, once again reminding her that she need not fear anyone or anything in life because she now has him...equating himself to the sun that shines the brightest in the sky😆...this line right here proves that no one else but Shivaay could say this...so I really didn't get the "out of character" issues that some are bringing up.

I get that people are confused about where Shivika really are as couple right now...they aren't going about this in the typical manner😆...but this week for some reason, I enjoyed the scenes...they didn't feel like token sappy romantic scenes...there was meaning, there was heartfelt conversation and I enjoy that more.

Shivika are like this oddball pair that can move so quickly b/w a gamut of emotions in a single scene😆...this was most visible in the first "aww" scene this week...where they started off with goofy Anika, then teasing Shivaay, then a more poignant Anika and ending with comedy Shivika fighting over the "aww/ahh" thing😆...Major kudos to NM-SC for playing off each other so well in such scenes.

I think this week was all about settling both of them into the joy of their relationship...soaking in the happiness they bring to each other...they've rarely had a chance to express that as they've jumped from one near death experience to the next, usually battling villains non-stop...

The time for a more thorough exploration of the other aspects of their relationship may come later...depending on when the writers feel the need...whatever I'm noticing so far seems to point to the fact that they enjoy keeping things light...😆...and keeping some things vague...like focusing on Shivika expressing their feelings for each other without bringing up the big "love" word😆...

I guess it comes down to what people are expecting from their story...me personally, I enjoy the balance b/w the humor and the poignant bits...and that's how their story has usually gone...the characters themselves are such...Shivaay is mercurial, unpredictable...can do anything at any time and it's justifiable because that's the way he is...strange in the way he approaches a lot of things😆...including his marriage😆...and Anika for all her tadi, is surprisingly naive...will usually wait for cues for him on most things😆

In general this entire story is about the games these two play with each other...and the direction in which the game shifts is quite dependent on how fast/slow the writers want to move this in the middle of all the constant saazishes in the lives of the Oberois😆.

My two cents, cuz I've surprisingly liked the scenes this week😆.

I don't know why ppl are so much into the imposter theory. Aisa kuch hai bhi toh bhi aaj koi imposter nahi hai. That much i'm sure.

I had no issues with the romance of Shivika, just editing and transitioning of the scenes today.😆 The week has been great in regards to Shivaay and Annika, they are talking again. And feelings are quite clear, even though the I love yous have not been said yet. I feel its not even needed cause their actions speak louder than words, but of course it will be done at some point.

However, I did slightly get annoyed of Annika's aww in todays scene outside the OM, they tend to overuse certain words sometimes, but its minor.

Shivaay was super cute in encouraging her to hug him, it was so him. And her freezing in the moment when he hugged her was nice, like is this for real lol. 😳

Its been so good with these two this week! So it must be applauded👏

And editing/transitions toh they've always had issues with...they've had FAR worse transitioned scenes in the past...uske comparison mein today really wasn't that bad...especially if I totally ignore the last two minutes of random plane crash dream whatever that was😆

Considering the fact that I was braced for random token "romantic" scenes, the scenes they've shown this week have been surprisingly meaningful...so I figured some praise was in order😆
