hippo's take is just view point .. for example in current indian idol there is one person who is said to have hero voice and rest dont. so there is this notion that some have a hero voice which suits all. that does not mean they are the best singers. others can have more talent, training, correctness in terms of accent and all. i based my assessment on that logic.

having said that you can argue that sonu nigham has a hero voice too that fits all. which is fine. here we are subjective and therefore cannot argue much

however in terms of talent he is above udit and kumar sanu in my opinion. also i like him for his correctness in language. i just dont like people singing khaabar instead of khabar..it ruins the song.

this singer ruined this song with khaabar...sounds bad..otherwise a great song
