Mine after I've watched the episode

Firstly today's episode was too good and hilarious.

Loved today's episode!! Almost everyone sang so well. I also enjoyed the camaraderie between contestants.

I was waiting to se yaaron dosti, was sad that it wasn't aired.

Now the performances:

1- Maalavika - like Sowiee I barely understood what she sang in the beginning or whenever she sang in that soft tone. Thankfully she didn't infuse annoying harkats today. I did notice her changing the tune a couple of times, they weren't bad but it wasn't great.

2. Khudabaksh - surprisingly he was very very good today. Although he needed a little more energy, he was surprisingly in tune and I enjoyed his performance. See when he doesn't add the Punjabi tadka and folkish harkats he's not so bad. But I think the girl proposing him bit was definitely pre planned, and absolutely annoying. It's like repetition.

Mohit - I love the song he sang, but I missed KK's voice. Mohit wasn't bad. At times he was brilliant but in some places I thought his singing was technical and there was no feeling. He really has such a buland voice and this song suited him to the t. He didn't go off tune or anything. Just that in places not feeling it made the difference. And his fainting act when Zarine kissed him was like copying Revanth. Too much drama.

Revanth - I loved his performance. Especially the end. That took his performance from good to stupendous! That smile he gave while singing the digi digi tap bit was so cute. It's nice to see him getting better each week. And this is the time he's peaking (like Farah said last week). Loved that they showed he's sung for Sabse Bada Kalakar. Strange they didn't show Sonu congratulating him. Loved all comments for him. Especially when Anu Malik said he'll be in the first row watching Revanths show. That is such a morale booster.

Rohit - that he's a good singer is not disputed. He sings well, he brings about variations that no other singer in the competition can. What he does to songs is what most people can't even think of doing. He is so good, but there was something about hai performance that didn't make me go wow!! Maybe he's low on energy, I'm not sure.

KK is a real sweetheart. His comments were such confidence boosters. He wasn't just saying good things because he's a guest judge. You could tell he really meant it.

And Khudabaksh's Sunny Leone moment was hilarious!! Loved how all contestants reacted. And Revanths naughty side is so cute. There's an innocence to his naughtiness.

Finally I'm disappointed that there was no eviction. It's obviously a ploy to save someone and it's unfair. Either announce before hand that the following week is a no eviction week, or just evict someone.

If you had to extend Indian idol for a week, you should've had a wildcard round.

By far the best epi ..KK was such a refreshing change on the judges panel. He was friendly, encouraging and gave valuable comments to each contestant. Sony should seriously consider him as a permanent judge for upcoming season (if any).

1. Malvika: She was good in certain parts n her voice was less shrill. Like others pointed, it was difficult to understand few words. Overall, not bad.

2. Khudabaksh: VERY impressive!!! Loved the contemporary style approach with No extra harkats. For me, it was his best performance n hopefully he continues in this direction.

3. Mohit: The guy has taken his new name "Buland Chopra" quite literally. Once again a high scaled track and he sang it in same monotonous way..where's the versatility? Also, tht whole Zarine Khan act was cringe worthy! Why were they meeting like Long lost friends? The channel needs to stop these annoying gimmicks.

4. Revanth: Brilliant!! His confidence really shines through each time n wat a voice! It has a cinematic quality, feels like your listening to a song from a movie. The only thing he needs to perfect is Hindi diction. Oh n contrary to initial beliefs he's quite mischievous offscreen, his reactions were fun to watch

5. Rohit: I enjoyed the performance and truly appreciate how he's trying to step out of his comfort zone and overcome his fears. I sincerely wish him all the best for future :)

A special mention for Roli who did such a commendable job at imitating everyone esp Khudabaksh...the resemblance was uncanny 😆. I'm disappointed by the abrupt ending tho. If they want to save a contestant by no elimination then be fair to the viewers and at least announce the name. This reminds me of Manya's random wildcard entry. Two aspects in which Idol has completely failed this season is editing n pre planning.

After watching today's episode, I've come to a conclusion - if you add aalaap, sargam or harkats to your song, no matter how bad or repetitive you're sure to get compliments.

Now for reviews, in order of performance:

1. Khudabaksh - a typical Khudabaksh song, he should've done well. First his tempo was too slow, made it sound like he was wailing. His harkats are limited and repetitive. Clearly he's the weakest of the lot. I fail to understand why he's so highly praised. Today there was nothing praiseworthy about his performance. He was mediocre.

2- Maalavika - when she started I was happy. She started well. She actually can sing quite a variety of songs well. But like Khudabaksh her harkats are repetitive. And she overdoes the aalaap bit. It's like you almost know what to expect from her. There's no element of surprise. Honestly overall she wasn't bad, but 10/10 from Farah? Standing ovation, all those praises that wouldn't stop. Seems a bit much.

Mohit - this is such an energetic song, and needs a powerful voice like Mohits. Unfortunately the music was too loud. I could hear the drums over Mohit. Also this song invokes a lot of patriotism and pride when I listen to the original, in Mohits I didn't feel a thing. This is one of his weaker performances.

Revanth - for someone who can't speak Hindi, the starting bit in Punjabi was commendable. Today he sang with so much energy. It reminded me of his dhan ta nan performance. Honestly his Sargam wasn't the best, but it's something we've never seen him do, and I wasn't expecting it in this song. It was a welcome change, not the best though. But loved the grunge effect in this song. His pronunciation was mostly good. It seems like he's reserved his best for the last few weeks. It's such a pity they edit Sonus comments only for him and today even Sukhwinders. It almost seems like they're targeting him.

Rohit - wow!! This guy never fails to surprise us. He's like a front runner for the trophy and nobody was expecting it. I loved how he ended the song. Rohit uses a lot of harkats, but he has such a variety that it's not repetitive. Sometimes I wonder if this is the same Rohit who came for the auditions? We've been seeing a different Rohit lately. He deserved all the accolades.

4- Khudabaksh
5- Mohit

I think Mohit will go next week.
Rohit with two golden mikes is clearly safe. I say two because the scores for 2 weeks will be combined.

Maalavika probably has very high judges scores. Her being in the bottom will depend on audience votes. Khudabaksh has a huge vote bank, but his being in the bottom will depend on Malvika's votes. In my opinion she has a better judges score.

2 people clearly in the bottom (in my opinion of course) will be Mohit and Revanth (he has audience votes, but I'm not convinced about judges scores).

Mohit is the most likely to leave next week, followed by Revanth.

Had tuned into to follow Revanth but man, adores a gem now

Okay, coming to Saturday's episode
One amongst the best episodes of this season
Truly, no words! ' Awesome

But
But
But
Something was missing, that wow factor KK brings into his songs were missing
Whenever someone was singing, I missed KK's voice out there

Especially, Tadap Tadap and Dil Ibaadat

Coming to the reviews,
Malvika- I don't adore her much because I don't like the way she throws. And, high pitch, her voice shrills. Surely not so sweet on ears
She was pretty much good, but KK is god man

Khudabaksh- The way he sung was his best but the deserved better
Decent and pretty good performance from KB's standards

Mohit- I love the song
Love love the song
Especially Ajab hai ishq yaara
But, Mohit was nowhere near or did justice to the song. But still a decent performance


Revanth- loved his performance
Fantabulous
Especially the ending
But I missed KKs voice out here
The magic
That huskiness
That goosebumps we get when we hear aashayein
But, best performance if Renvanth so far

Rohit- intelligent selection of song
We've heard a lot of people sing the song
So, I wasn't very much rooting for KK feel
Overall a nice performance, but not the best of Rohit


It will be injustice if I don't comment about KK and Pal
Mann, I love this man so much
Yesterday, hearing him sing, the fangirl in me loved him moreee
He is a sweetheart
The way he encourages the contestants
KK loads of love man
Pal no words
So much years after its release, it still makes your heart beat faster. Love the song and love KK

Until last week, I would've felt bad if Mohit left, but now, I would not be happy if he stay


Next week elimination, hope Mohit or KB
But kB has a huge fan following, So Mohit may leave
Or maybe Rohit?

Janta, choose your idol wisely, instead of fangirling vote for the deserving based on their performances not their style or attitudes
Because, you need the best to hear from your earphones

1. Rohit is back in the game - yayy! He was super duper phenomenal brilliant fantastic yesterday! He chose a great song, with so many variations, alternating high and low scales spaced so close that only someone with complete mastery over their craft would be able to attempt this live. And Rohit did.

Saturday's episode was hilarious and loved everyone's performances. Was disapponted that Yaron Dosti wasn't aired.

1. Malvika - Didn't quite enjoy her performance. Infact for the first few minutes never understood what she sang.

2. Khudabaksh - Well,he's improved a lot and enjoyed it.

3. Mohit - He sang quite well but something was missing. But,still enjoyed his performance.

4. Revanth - He was excellent and showed lots of energy. Couldn't take away my eyes from the screen.

5. Rohit - He was good but I wouldn't say he was great.

Apart from that there were some light moments specially Khudabaksh's Sunny Leone. Loved the way Revanth reacted and even Sonu stood up from his place. It was quite hilarious.
