'Mohalla Assi' doesn't make fun of Hinduism. It sheds light on the sub-culture of 'Nirvana' that has spread across Religious cities in India, specifically Varanasi in this one.
Tons of white tourists fly down to India every year in the quest to achieve Nirvana, find themselves, their purpose bla bla. What do they end up doing? Lots of drugs & orgies. There's a hundred million dollar industry centred around it with fake Baba's, ashrams, drug dealers. Mohalla Assi deals with Varanasi locals trying to get rid of these vices from their holy city.

Regardless it was banned so it's not releasing anytime soon but it's available online.

Wasn't this movie leaked online before release? Well...if it was ever going to be released..
