it is international women's day, the only day where we recognise that women are or should be treated equal to men and everybody acts like women are given more or equal treatment as men and women are goddesses, although the reality is different.
So people say that men don't have much to do in indian shows and it is a female dominated industry. Yes...women dominate tv...by crying and grovelling in front of their insensitive and dumb husbands, their saas and the villians and being walked over by men. What is the actual point of saying that women dominate tv or people having the opinion that women have more to do in tv than men, when all women do is the same thing...cry...grovel...beg...be abused. The one area of life where women dominate over men, they are still shown as weak, male-dependent and having to compromise their desires, aspirations and self-respect because of society.
Women's day needs to be a day where we realise that women need to be treated equally as men, rather than pretend that women are great and are being treated as equally as men, when in actual, they aren't, and we need to use this day to realise that actions needs to take place to make changes to the way we view women and their roles in society and the way we treat them. This realisation shouldn't just apply to men, but women too, as more than often women objectify other women more than men do nowadays and men's attitudes towards women can only be changed when women learn to respect themselves and each other.
