Dear Karan Johar, stop playing the 'Kangana Ranaut card'
Karan Johar slammed Kangana Ranaut over her 'flagbearer of nepotism' comment and for using the 'victim card' and 'woman card' always. Here's what we thiink about the entire controversy.

When reports of Kangana Ranaut appearing on Karan Johar's Koffee with Karan made news, the audience was excited to see what was in store for them. Since Karan's show is known to bring out an unheard and unseen side to a celebrity, one wondered what would Kangana have to offer, given that the actress is known to be her usual self, most of the times.
Kangana has never feared anyone, may be because she has come up in life, the hard way. She never shies away from calling a spade, spade and has often whipped up a storm with her brutal statements and bold opinions. That was the case on KWK too. We remember, when the first promo of Kangana's KWK episode aired on the web, it saw the actress awarding KJo with the title of 'flag bearer of nepotism'. While it now appears that the statement didn't go down well with Karan, back then, when the promo came out, it was all over the internet.
Guess, that time, Karan wanted his episode and the show to get the maximum TRPs. So may be he decided to swim with the tide and let the promo create the mayhem that it did. The entire nepotism controversy was conveniently ignored back then, may be because what mattered was the eyeballs for the show, which apparently has had dwindling TRPs in the latest season.
That week, when the episode aired, obviously, Kangana's wit and spontaneity won her applause and people went gaga over her for being so honest and shutting up the host. 'All hail Kangana' became the mantra that weekend with every leading media house lauding the actress for her unabashed avatar. Guess, that wasn't appreciated by Karan, who often likes being in the limelight.
Cut to, Saturday, when the filmmaker was in London for an event, that gave him the platform to voice his 'opinion'. But we always thought Koffee with Karan was his show and he could, well voice his opinion there more openly and without any fear. But it seems, that time he didn't have an answer. Whatever be the reason that Karan took so long to get back, when he did, he conveniently brought back the 'nepotism controversy', well because it didn't feel right to him, 'how an outsider like Kangana can beat him to bush on his own show?'. So he decided to hit back at the actress!
The acclaimed filmmaker defended the title of 'flagbearer of nepotism' by saying that he has given breaks to debutante directors. But dear Karan, didn't those debutant directors cast actors who have worked with you previously or have been launched by your production house? Let's admit, camps do exist in Bollywood and nepotism is just a sophisticated word for these camps. Every new film that you announce that stars your proteges, receives a reaction from the audience saying - Yaar he has again cast her in the film. Isn't he done with the actress?. If you get the hint, then that exactly is nepotism and that has existed in Bollywood. Kangana was just pointing that to you!
That also reminds us, haven't you and other celebrities often emphasized on the fact that whatever is told on your show Koffee with Karan shouldn't be taken seriously? Then what happened to those claims this time? Or are the rules different for other celebrities and Kangana, who is still considered an outsider?! If other celebs, their statements and jibes are taken jokingly then why is it not the case with Kangana? Hypocrisy much?
And while you played the Kangana card to harper more TRPs for your show, we aren't surprised much that you used that yet again, this time to get some eyeballs to your reply, that you took over 20 days, to come up with. Isn't that a tad unfair? And you blame her for playing the 'victim card', but that is something which everyone in Bollywood has always done. At least she is being honest and putting out things as they are, unlike others who only crib about it behind closed doors and gossip about it with the industry friends at some SoBo parties!
All said and done, whether she plays the 'victim card' or the 'woman card', the faults that she pointed out are valid and that do exist in Bollywood.
It is high time you accept it!
And you need to stop playing the 'Kangana Ranaut' card, first for your show's TRPs and now for publicity!
