Erm, so we're just going to ignore all his successes then? 😆 I mean, doesn't that point to mass appeal and sustaining the audience's attention at it's very basic level?

I don't think one needs the best looks to attract the masses - you need charm, ability to hold attention, captivate the audience in your performance.

Also, if it is seen in recent time, most of the actors and actresses who aren't exploiting their looks in their films get the most recognition - Alia and Shahid in UP, Ranbir in Barfi, Randeep in Sarabjit, Anushka in NH10 etc. so I feel good looks isn't as a big a factor as everyone makes it out to be. If it was, John Abraham would be #1.

Well he has had 7 successes in a row (with a 83 cr avg) which is a rare feat. So Badri might give him a further boost if it does really well...I do believe Varun has the most impactful screen presence in the young lot, definitely has potential and is very charming both on & off screen...is very driven with that earthy & endearing quality. So hoping for the best for him 😆

He needs to face some failure. It is not success but failure that will decide if he has strength to get back. He is about to hit ceiling. But from younger gen he has best chance along with RS. 😊

i think badri would cements his place as a huge star, his next movie will build on that. but then his next 2 films will either make or break him. i was really hoping his stupid movies like dishoom, badri and J2 would flop. bt in dishoom he was adorable, badri he is looking too good and feel he is gona kill in J2 as well. i am really hoping for a flop coz then that is over the way. i like to not think of him as acting in dudwale(his acting was so bad there) bt that might actually be his 1st true flop coz it was meant to make more money. i do think ppl love him though. his brand is entertainment just like salman and he is one of the rare actors that can make a little money with a pathetic script. bt he needs proper movies to be a super star.
