I haven't seen gul's previous all shows but Qubool hai.What to say about it.Its season 1 is one of my most favourite shows till now.And after that everything got messed up.Spiritual superstition and so ma y irrelevant stuff added in the show made it a full of kick.I cant forget how I just ignored the rest of the seasons of qh.

Though I havent seen her other shows but as I could know every show was a reflection of disrespecting woman and turning them into a 'Apology giving' machine no matter how much wronged they have been.I watched one or two episodes of Geet and believe me I was very impatient to handle such a crying and submissive woman.

I don't think gul has ever tried a track where Fl's is truly redeemed and ML's taking a stand for herself.There isnt a single track in any of her shows like hero trying heart and soul to get the apology from heroin and get back her love.Then the heroine atleast maintain some respect giving a tough time the heros.

I know I shouldn't keep high hopes as gul is still gul.But I had lots of hope from Ishqbaaz jodis be it shivika,Gaurika or Rumya.About Shivika,I am loosing hope.A man forcibly marry her,threatens to harm her bro and the same had still not changed his opinion about NKK,then how can a girl just fall for her?Anika everytime proves that love dismisses self respect.But thats not the thing.But I shouldn't blame her.Gul is the one proving this theory each time she creats a show.Grow up Man!!

I know Om will get a painful story where instead of him,Gauri will get most of the pain be it rude behaviour from him or the mistreatment from her Sautan.I am pleading to Gul for once try this formula.Give a turning point to Anika or Gauri (Anyone will be okay).At least give a tough time to the heroies.Starting from the fear of loosing his love to the realization their pain,the boys should get the taste of their own medicine.

Change is needed,gul.Just try once.

I agree for the most part except for Geet. Geet was actually the best out of the current lot both in terms of characters and story It had the same arrogant ML and "self-respecting" FL but the difference there was that Geet was a flawed character coz she also blamed and misunderstood him even after he was always there for her and so was Maan. In Gul's other shows, the MLs really crossed all limits in insulting the FL and then we got a really lame max 2 episode Sorry situation (can't even call it a track). In Geet, Maan always saved and protected Geet. He was actually the one who pushed her to stand up for herself and fight against her family and society. He got angry at her but he still gave her a chance to explain and when he did screw up, his "sorry" was definitely much much more heartfelt. In fact, he never did anything remotely as bad as other Gul's MLs. The one time he did cross limit when he insulted Geet by some khoon wala dialogue, she left the house. He realized really soon that he was wrong and we got to see a proper track of him manaofying and apologizing to her along with pacifying the entire rest of the family.

Sorry for the rambling. I really enjoyed the show and followed it pretty much from start to ending (barring a few epis). Uff..I miss Star One 😭. We had such young, fun, romantic and nice shows. Miss those shows!

It's of no use. Gul will do what she wants. Not just ShivIka n RiKara but even in RuMYa. According to Tia expose plan in IB Rudra clearly knows dat Tia leaked d video but still he is blaming Saumya n insulting her in front of their friends. It's like only he n his family has problems while others r happy. Wat abt Saumya? Even she was shown to d world in d leaked video. Wouldn't people question her n her family abt her link wid d Oberois? He was also upset dat she left d house widout informing anyone. Did he expected her to tolerate his insults n let her treat him like a punching bag? To his family members especially wid his brothers he acts like a kid. Vo sirf Saumya ko apni mardaangi dikhaata hai.

All Gul shows should come with a disclaimer:

"Male leads will cross any limit, but they will never have a redemption track. Female leads will start off strong, but soon lose their personality and sacrifice for the ML and his family. Love means no self-respect!"

Once you get that part down, then you can watch a Gul show without ANY expectations. I saw 3 of her shows before IB, so I know what to expect. The sad part was I actually thought when she did a "Male-centric" show, she will change her tactics. But I was proven wrong. I didn't even watch the show for around 4 months and then started it. (Since I watch on Hotstar it makes no difference for me).

My Mom who also watches Indian shows on Hotstar watched IB and told me to watch it. (She loved the OBros). She had seen IPK and so had I. (Our first Indian show). But unlike her I had seen QH, so I told her I probably won't watch another show by this PH. I saw "Humsafars" as well. (That ran during QH, but that I caught up to close to the time it was wrapping up and it was badly botched up). So I told her I don't think I want to watch another Gul show. But I checked it out reluctantly and the only thing that really got me was the Brothers. So I kept watching. But soon I realized I was fooled into watching Gul's formula story play out "against a different backdrop!".

It would be great if they show a Gul heroine with a backbone where her wishbone is, and a Gul Hero who actually apologizes and comes off his high horse when he does so! The only Gul Hero who ever got even somewhat redeemed was Aahil from QH who actually paid for the things he did at the start.The rest got away scot free. So I agree with you! Gul SHOULD try something knew. Show a girl who won't take crap for once. Maybe Saumya will be that girl?
