Shot in the dark: These two actors who were besties have drifted apart

These two young, emerging stars - let's call them X and Y - made their debut in a big banner film almost half a decade ago and painted the picture of being besties.

However, over the years, they seem to have drifted apart. What's more, X was rumoured to have had a brief fling with Y's current girlfriend, also a co-star. So, recently, when the two arrived at a senior actor's birthday bash with their respective girlfriends in tow, they decided to stick to different corners. A few guests were taken aback by their behaviour, especially since X is in the midst of promoting a film with Y's girl.

A guest says, "They exchanged pleasantries, but didn't seem interested in hanging out together." The men could possibly have some sort of an ego war going on. Given that they used to be good friends at one point of time, it's a shame.
