Pallo - Canada is so much better !! My friend had one kid, went on paid maternity for 1 year, went back to work for less than a year, had next baby and another year of maternity leave.
US sucks big time !!

Judgmental much?

Maybe it's time to accept that everyone is different and their experiences do not have to mirror yours. You are not any better of a mother than others who choose to live their life their own way.

My mother worked throughout her life and in my childhood. She instilled a work ethic and independence in her children and taught them not to rely on their husbands for money when you can earn it yourself. Love comes in many forms and stop it with the insistence that only moms who sit at home all day are better moms.

Kareena is doing nothing wrong if she chooses to work and meet friends and have lunch out occasionally. Her kid will be as loved and fulfilled as one whose mom stays home all day with the doors locked.

You did not get the point and quoted me out of context

My mom worked all her life, her mom worked all her life and I also worked majority of my life.

Kareena is getting into fitness and work too soon, too fast for her own good. Its her body, her choice. But she is presenting it as something revolutionary and we have problem with that.
She is inspiring new moms to go out kick boxing and weight loss before she has rested properly.
We have no problem with her lunch with friends and movie dates

US is the worst country in terms of social benefits. I only got 8 weeks of maternity leave and that too with half pay. Hubby got 7 days paid leave

My cousin in Canada who had twins the same day as my delivery, she got ONE WHOLE YEAR of Maternity leave plus money for each kid's birth from the Govt

There are some European countries that give 3-4 years of maternity leave. But I know many women who don't want to stay home that long. Most are pretty happy to go back to work in a few months. Not everyone finds full and complete fulfillment in just being a mom.

Sorry if I misunderstood! 😆 It's just have there are usually a lot of these types of posts every time Kareena is seen outside.

Also there's noting wrong with being fit and working out as soon as you're able to. If she's able to leave home and go have lunch and walk on a ramp, it means her health is fine and doing an hour on a treadmill is no big deal. I'm sure she has doctors and trainers who know what she is capable of much better than people sitting on forums.

Forget post-pregnancy, most of the time you can do a good amount of exercise even during the pregnancy and it's perfectly healthy! No need to stay fat and flabby when you're capable of working out and eating healthy. Plus Kareena doesn't seem have lost much weight anyway.

Go Kareena Go! 👏
The first and only mommy in India to get back to work so soon after delivery. And most importantly, for getting back in shape so soon. It's very important you know!
You truly are an inspiration! Great going mommy!

Umm...she's posing coz she was shooting for a commercial.
If news outlets will take that and turn it into a post prennsnxy fitness article, that's their choice. Kareena's posing with her team coz they were there with her during the shoot. As she did before pregnancy. Nothing new.

P.S.
She did NOT leave her newborn to party days after delivery. It was an intimate Christmas dinner AT HER OWN HOUSE.

First time she stepped out was for dinner with.
She has clarified that every time she's out, Saif is taking care of the baby. Let the father have the right to take care of the child as well.
And all those worried about Kareena's health, she seems perfectly fine and healthy to me.

It's a misconception that women need rest during pregnancy. We encourage women to walk and continue their daily lives even till last semester. The only thing you can't do is dangerous activities. Or unless it's a high risk pregnancy.

^Agree, what is with the fear of exercise? Exercise is good for the body before pregnancy, during pregnancy and after pregnancy. It's a separate thing if it's a high risk pregnancy and the mother is too tired or unable to do it but Kareena is clearly fine and healthy.

Indians have a lot of wives tales about fattening up the pregnant woman but nothing like that is really necessary. You don't have to eat piles of ghee or sugary desserts or unhealthy food. Most women actually have a terrible diet during their pregnancy because they use it as an excuse to eat all kinds of unnecessary and fatty food.

You don't even have to gain much weight - 25 to 30 pounds is enough for an average woman and you lose a significant amount of that as soon as the baby is delivered. Most people just gain too much because they eat like crazy.

No one said she needed rest during pregnancy..activity is good during that time..My mom went to work even on the day my bro was born..before his birth of course..many women work right through their pregnancy..

Regarding post delivery..it's a different thing .. again no one said anything about exercising.. one can start as soon as doc says it's okay
