I find it a bit difficult to believe that she didn't realise that Arjun will get into trouble once again if she gets the case reopened. But she believes that he is innocent and will ultimately be let off, so thought this was a good way to get the real 'culprits' (who she believes to be Maya and Jhanvi) into prison.
