I have seen a lot many posts about Dev being insensitive and telling Suhana the truth without thinking. But was that actually the case. I don't think so... May be i am thinking from a different perspective than you all.

But here's what i thought about the whole scenario.

Dev started talking to Soha. Asked her about her family and when she didn't mention about her Dad. He asked her about him.

Soha had only good things to say about him.

Wo Ek Achche Insaan Hai.

Achche Bhai

Aur Ek Achche Friend (He was Sona's Best Friend... One thing is clear here. Sona might think Dev was not a good husband. But for her as a friend he excelled)

Bas mumma ke sath achche nahi the.

Then she said he couldn't keep her mother happy. How will he keep Soha happy...!!

But when Dev again asked if she wants to meet her father... She said but how??

From all what Suhana said Dev has got an impression that for Suhana her father is a good man. She was talking normally about him. She was happy while telling he's a good man and his name is Dev Dixit. He was a bit confirmed after the talk that she'll get happy knowing the truth.

But Suhana remembered the promise she made to Sona. It was not that she don't want to talk to Dev. But She don't want to break the promise she made to her mother.

Some people must be thinking how can Dev decide that Soha can take the truth just by a simple convo and face value.

The same happened with Sona recently when she asked Soha whether she wants to meet her father. It's not that Suhana didn't want to meet her father. It's just that she don't want hurt her mother.

She is a kid and Sona didn't understand that Suhana in order to keep her happy is compromising with her happiness of meeting her father. And here too Dev couldn't understand that while talking about him, Suhana was smiling and happy and suddenly she would run from him.

And the reason was not that she was not ready. The reason was the promise she made to her mother. DevAkshi need to handle the situation with utmost care as it is about Suhana now. 😊

100% agree.. This is not the case she doesn't want to meet her father.. This is what she doesn't break the promise.. Thanks for the post

Yeah Jo.. very true!!
As parents both of them spoke a lot to her
It's not her age to handle it all alone by herself
Time for her parents to unite for Suhana.
And not allow any 3rd party to interfere between these 3 unlike before.

Jyoti I know he talked to her and its good he did but apparently it wasnt the time to let the truth out without thinking twice he said it which was little too much for a kid to take and he should have spent few days with her to understand her and then should have disclosed it ..right now he has confused the kid and she is so stuck !!

she removed his hand and ran away ..how hurting it must have been for Dev..because she wasnt ready for it..sighh :( He misjudged the situation..I understand his eagerness but he has to be very very careful and patient :(

Thanks for showing the other side of coin. I was super angry with him that how could he hurt one child atleast ek bacche ko to baksh do.

But yes dev atleast this time used not full but half of his brain. In joy he didn't grabbed his daughter nd instantly blurt out the truth. If soha had a bad impression towards his father which he was thinking that sona may have put in her brain. He firstly confirmed it when he see that all lines are clear he told the truth but soha's promise made her to do so.

Here sonakshi has to understand that she is daughter of Dev dixit more complicated than him. This little girl has to go through all this. I am feeling very pity of her. I wish that don't give a child parents like two of them. I am little worried about that child. These two immature parents and super immature her grand parents made this little girl life hell.

I agree. The conversation flowed well for me that it didn't feel like Dev was making much of a leap to tell Soha that he was her father. I would've preferred it if he had involved Sona but I can also understand his assumption that he would've have been stalled.

I'd also add Dev was Soha's friend too. He knew how well Soha reacted in the Golu situation when Golu pushed her. Given the conversation, I don't think he was wrong to think she could handle it.

to be honest , i was really happy seeing soha running away from Dev. and its even more good that she nearly met with an accident. If Dev was not made to witness this, he would forever be in his delusional world. he would listen to ishwari, carried her to ishwari nivas, made her meet her daadi and others with utter dis regard to feelings to both Soha and sona.

Atleast now he knows, he cannot force himself on soha. if he tries anything drastic he may lose soha forever. Somehow this gives me a hope that we will not get to see a shitty custody track. Dev has promised Soha that will have the liberty to do things her way and let's see how much of a good father he is going to be. I am curious now, will be become the same old maa bhakth, think of the craving his mother has for her grandchild and try to full fill her every wish or think of soha , her needs, her desires, her fears.

If soha would have shown atleast an ray of happiness, he would never have thought of having a confrontation with sona. good that she displayed shock and ran away from him . this now paves way for the much needed confrontation between dev and sona. I want both of them to voice out all their vengeance , only then can they start thinking afresh.

Very well put Jyoti...

Dev will not go against Soha's wishes.. even not take her to meet Ishwari till she's ready!

I see both parents doing anything for Soha's happiness.. in fact this will be an eye opener to Ishwari and Bijoy!!!
