In America--- people are dying of emotional starvation."
Mother Teresa

Do u agree with this statement?
Nope I dont, roughly about 2% of Indian population is starving according to this data
I dont think there is enough proof of how many actually die, but the # is much lower to the tune of 0.1%
In America deaths due to Anorexia account for about 6-7%
About the emotional starvation that is an opinion based upon what she has seen on TV or by a very small sample.
Yes Mother Teresa was a great woman, but here she was speaking in an area out of her expertise and her statemetns should have the same value as any avg joe(not mine, I speak based upon real numbers😆)

From her words,It seems let it be a rich country or a poor country, both are under some kind of starvation.
For Instance, we know most of American's may not even know what poverty is about.
That is a totally incorrect statement, about 12%(of 300 million) of America lives below the line of poverty, if you ever take the train or go by the hood area's you will know what poverty is. Unfortunately if you go to these area's your chances of coming out alive is not as high as a similar area in India, so you can tell who is the more needy
They are bought up with almost everything.
Ever been to America? Ever lived amongst American kids? I have spent equal time in both countries and my obervation is that kids in America have a better appreciation of money than kids in India

But in a developing country like India, more than half of the population is under poverty.
Again factually wrong statement, the # is 25%
People in India starve 'coz they dont have enough food to eat.
Only statement in this whole questionaire that has some amount of truth in it
But dont think American's have no starvation.
You think wrong
They have got Emotional Starvation.
Any proof of that?
In India emotional starvation is quite less when comapred to Physical one.
Any proof to this one either
Do u agree with Mother Teresa??
Or do u have diffrnt opinion??
Dont make assumptions based upon what you watch on TV or what you read in newspapers. If I were to make of India based upon what I see in a Balaji Telefilms will that be true? Or will my impression be true if made upon what I read on samachar.com
and that is what this poll seems to be doing
Is tere really emotional starvation in America acording to u??
I dont know, dont think so, never felt it, Americans are just as normal humans as us
how much do u agree with her words??

Sure its that that thing about getting the details but losing the gist.. I believe she wasnt giving a statistical presentation to God!!!!!.

All she was indicating is by and large true and even today its only getting worse......Americans are quite distressed and unhappy lot which is evident from the stress levels here. If we find them normal.. may be we have already become like them
