A corporate lady wants to become an insurance agent to win over her mother in law.
And what's this always draped in saree business? Shaadi is not really equal to saree. And it DOESN'T really happen that you change all your choices and habits at a go only cuz you got married somehow.
This is not what's real.
A strong self dependent woman would never cry before someone to accept her I mean this does not really happen. Corporate people hardly (read never) leave jobs leave alone their own company to sit at home and cry upon who's not respecting her. You need to understand not everyone will love or accept you and till date you have never given a damn as to who likes you and who doesn't. You love arjun. Arjun had loved whatever you were. You don't need to fall before his mother's feet because she isn't the one you fell for. This doesn't really happen. Show something real please.

I agree with you wholeheartedly.
This show is doing a great disservice to the portrayal of women in the corporate world. The plot is unrealistic and regressive. I don't know what message the makers are trying to convey here. The way they show Maya giving up work and hanging around at home making paranthas, one would think that a woman can never be fulfilled until she becomes a dutiful daughter in-law and wife. And also, why does she need to dress up like a Christmas tree just because she is married? One can wear sarees without being decked up in jewellery and make up 24/7.
We have already seen the modern, independent woman turning into the obedient, selfless and traditional housewife who does little else other than cooking, cleaning, poojas, and looking after her in-laws in many shows now. Beyhadh is showing us nothing new or refreshing.

^^ and we had never wanted beyhadh to be this way. It all started so refreshing and now it's all so sick. Maya should be made to be what she was again. She was not made to make paranthas and feed devars. Makers shouldn't understand what people want.

Exactly so after marriage women should cook, clean do all her in-laws works and even if mother in law rude you should fall on her feet and request to love me.😆.. Good daily serials bahu's bearing insults from in-laws, cooking, cleaning, falling on in-laws feet, being calm even though they are rude to you 😡and give very less importance to her own parents 😭totally called as ideal bahu ...

It was a refreshing change to see a career-oriented girl that too as the ML's boss because mostly the opposite is the norm in TV shows. The whole thing went for a toss the day Maya made Arjun the CEO. Actually, on that day I hoped that all this shouldn't be used to sideline Maya from her job. But now the typical reason, i.e. marriage is used. And looks like Maya will let go everything that she had worked to achieve.

This show is any career oriented girls worst nightmare (me!)
to go from CEO! of a company to pativrata patni is like im watching some kind of horror show, its not bad but the makers need to tone this stuff down and balance it out.
While im glad they have created a suspense angle with jhanvi, showing saanjh as a good lawyer anf the arya romance is lovely but the show is failing very badly in other respects.
